Hi Paulette - Thank you and welcome to the channel! 😊 Our latest cost of living video is from our past month in Athens...you might enjoy that one too! bit.ly/3m1NEqt
Glad you found us as well! Our most recent destination is Croatia...here's our latest video: ruclips.net/video/I8iGc4OBa0Q/видео.html It looks like you've also been doing some fun adventuring...looking forward to checking out your video! 😊
@@OurFreedomYears Yep I saw this one on Croatia. Looks beautiful and definitely another country we’ll visit. Have been enjoying quite a few of your videos 😊
Hi Lillian, sounds like our trips overlapped! Totally agree it is a beautiful place. Glad you had a chance to enjoy before the current pause on travel.
I love fethiye! My best experience in Oludeniz is the paragliding, very exhilarating! I had ghost bumps at the ghost town 😁. I was there in September, boat tour was awesome, swam in the bluest, clearest ocean. Thank you so so much for your video
Hi ladies I have been Gullet Cruising from Gocek & fethiye for the last 12 years ‘ my wife has always enjoyed Gullet Cruises as they are very relaxing holidays ‘ though you both seem to be on a good ticket 👍 🇬🇧…….
Fantastic video ladies, just found this and subscribed immediately!! Where is that place where they serve the fried fish like that?? I suppose in Istanbul, but where exactly? Thanks!
Hi Vincenzo - Welcome to the channel! Glad to hear you're enjoying our content. That delicious fried fish came from one of the vendors on the street called Sahne Sokak. It's lined up with amazing restaurants and specialty food stores. Hope that helps! 😊
If you’re ever back in turkey (sorry if I’m being ignorant and missed it) Kabak is an amazing place. Kinda the new butterfly valley. Reef bar in the city is great, ran by a good friend I met during travels. Thanks for giving me a look back into a city I miss so much.
Hi Colvalt - Great to hear you enjoyed the video! Kabak was beautiful although very empty at that time of year. Overall the Turquoise Coast was an amazing experience and we will definitely head back there one day. 😊
Looking at spending 6 months during the low season in Fethiye. What would you reckon the cost per month might be for a 3 bedroom apartment ona 6 month lease?
Hi John - Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, you guessed correctly...we were there in January. Average daytime temperatures are 13C / 55F in January. Some days it was warm enough for t-shirts and other days we needed light jackets. Generally we found the weather to be pleasant with just a few big rainy days.
Turkey is an excellent retirement country for sure that it is so beautiful and also cheap (Even cheaper right now), good healthcare, low crime rates and no racism problem. I only wish there was no covid then i was on the Turquoise Coast right now..
Great question! The requirements are very similar. I would suggest taking a look at our video about how to travel internationally with a pet: bit.ly/2Tdq9x4 Hope that helps!
Hi Hatice - Happy to share! Here's a recent video that explains how we did it bit.ly/3hodv9i ...and you can also check out our How to Retire Early playlist bit.ly/2RQMOPG Let us know if you have any questions! 😊
We went to Malta in January 3x different locations, we booked with a local and ate locally. Didn't find it too expensive and the churches and history were superb.
We buy global data packages from Flexiroam and it has worked out very well for us during the last couple years of travel. Usually just $8-10 USD a month.
We loved all the outdoor activities that were accessible from Fethiye, but the amazing variety of food and cultural experiences on offer in Istanbul was also amazing. Getting a taste of both was perfect for us. 😊
Hi Angelyn - We share all the details of our insurance plan in this video Https://Bit.Ly/3hwbnfl One of the reasons that our costs are low is that we're not spending any time in the US -- that tends to drive up the price of the premiums. Hope that helps!
@@angelynburk1775 We used Croatia and found that this produced a very cost-efficient premium for us. Of course, we spent quite a bit of time in Croatia in 2020 so we felt that this was a good country to choose as a temporary home base.

Hi - loved your video! Thx for posting. I have a question - how do you find your apartment/housing rentals? Do you find online prior or upon arrival? I admire your slow travel lifestyle.......
Hi Rich, so glad you enjoyed! So far we have booked all our longer stays through AirBnB. Although there are other ways to search, we've found that AirBnB had a pretty wide selection for the places we have been so far. If you'd like to know more about how we choose our AirBnBs, we have a whole video about it. bit.ly/2udSwCG We always book ahead of arrival - usually 1-2 months ahead is our comfort zone. I would book further ahead during high season, but in low season last minute planning seems to work out fine. Happy travels!
