My thoughts on the Motorola Razr+ 2024 after one week of use...and it's better than last year, and that makes it very good, it's not a wholesale departure from last year's experience. That's a good thing, just not the transformation we've been sold on a little. I like it a lot, and for style and design, it's probably the best flip, but it's more of a conversation this year.

It's really good and still probably the best flip you can buy, but it's not a MASSIVE improvement.
I'm not convinced 'best' is the right term. Maybe, best looking? But I'm still researching. I tend to seriously overthink these purchases, but I have to be happy with it for two years.

I just got my Razr and I love it.. I was going to get the flip 6 but the front screen wasnt for me.. and I didnt want to pay that price.
Yep, the price is definitely a thing!
Price is less of an issue when you're paying for it over 2 years (as part of your cell phone service plan).
I'm a flip4 user and I'm in my upgrade window. I just love the flip form factor.
The 4 inch display is THE killer feature of this phone and it blows my mind that Samsung didn't include that.
However, (apart from RAM) it seems to me that everything else is better in the flip 6... CPU, Battery, build quality, software, updates, etc... The important, under the hood stuff.
I don't know if I'm ready to move away from the Samsung ecosystem.
@@crooker2 I wouldn’t switch and if you do get the razr the best model the base was so laggy at times and got hot really fast I just went back to my iPhone cool experience just needs better software
I just got my Razr Plus and love it. I choose it over the Z Flip because of the usability of the front screen . I like the fact that you can use all most any app on the cover screen. For my use I rarely need to open the phone in full screen . This is a very stylish, well built phone.
Yep, they definitely are way ahead with the outer display.
I wanted to mention one thing about the updates. I have multiple Motorola's that I rotate through and they have always been rock steady on software meaning they don't seem to have updates that cause issues. I also have seen reviewers say that Motorola's are a no-deal because of software support and yet the people that buy them have phones that just work and frequently love them for their reliability and stability.
I received my 2024 razr few days ago and I love it. Really enjoy it traded off my Samsung 21 plus.
I returned my flip6 and got my razr+ 2024 yesterday. Just couldn't fall in love with the Samsung. But the razr has been great.

If you're on ATT, they currently have the 2024+ in midnight blue color for $5.99/month for 36 months making the price effectively $218+ tax. Not a bad deal in the least.
Carrier version. They spy on you with bloatware and own you for 3 years and call you my bitch 😂
@@donniethesportsguy893well, at&t has had like 2 huge data breaches recently from what I remember… im already getting tons of scam texts, and emails. It’s inevitable that someone is spying or stealing out data

Coming from the 2020 Motorola Razr 5G. Definitely had to upgrade and see if enough has changed in 4 years. I might do a comparison on my channel.
What was the last update on your 2020 model ? Was it supported till date ??

Traded in my OnePlus 10 5g pro on TMobile, got RAZR plus for 500, I'm not going back lol. Just the outer screen for camera purposes this is a major go. And the versatility.
I got the regular razr for this year and I love it
Been using my razr plus for a week now, upgraded from a z flip 3. Im really missing one UI and access to easy customization through good Lock. If it could go back id probably get a z flip 6. I will say that the hinge on this feels so much better than my old flip 3! First foldable ive had where it doesnt feel like folding it is breaking it
My question is: is it that bad the average use of the cover screen in the z flip 6?? I mean, once you have downloaded goodlock, is it really a problem the 3.4 inches display??

Και το λεω εγω που πηρα το σαμσουνγκ φλιπ 6,σαν πρωτο φλιπ,κι εψαχνα τους λογους αν εκανα λαθος ,κι επρεπε να παρω το μοτο ραζρ πλας,οχι το απλο ραζρ 50 ,το πλας μονο λεω.
Κι εξηγω σε σχολιο μου ,γιατι οντως προτιμω το φλιπ 6 ,κ που υπερτερει το ραζρ 50 πλας (ο μοναδικος λογος που θα το επαιρνα θα ηταν μονο για το γιου τιουμπ που εχει μεγαλη οντως οθονη πρακτικα ,οχι μονο φαινομενικα οπως την πατας με το απλο ραζρ 50).

Οχι 7 χρονια που γραφουν αλλοι!!
Γιατι το μοτορολα υστερει σε αυτο ,κι εγραψε καπου χρηστης ηταν να γινει ενημερωση λογισμικου στο κινητο του ,ΔΕΝ εγινε.Κι αλλος χρηστης μιλαγε για τις ασαφεις ενημερωσεις λογισμικου της μοτο,και το λετε ξεκαθαρα κι εσεις.❤

Συν μονο στο σαμσουνγκ εχεις τα εξης
-- εχεις το power share και φορτιζεις με το κινητο σου ,και ρολογια συμβατα,ασυρματα.🩷
---οτι εχεις translate 2 γλωσσων ,με φωνη η με κειμενο στην οθονη φλεξ και στην κανονικη οθονη❤
---ότι έχεις flip suit κάρτες nfc διαδραστικές για την οθόνη flex,και κάνεις συλλογή, αλλά και ταιριάζουν κ οι κάρτες του φλιπ 5 !! ❤
--- Το razr δεν μπορείτε να προσθέσετε τη δική σας ζωντανή/βίντεο ταπετσαρία στην οθόνη εξωφύλλου, αλλά με το Flip 6 μπορείτε❤
--το Αl της σαμσουνγκ ειναι κορυφη ,κατι που δεν εχουν καν τα αλλα τηλεφωνα🧡
-συν την ψυξη με θαλαμο ατμων πρωτη φορα σε φλιπ της σαμσουνηκ ,ενω εχει χαμηλοτερη ψυξη το ραζρ λογω του χαρντγουερ του που εχει ηδη εγκατεστημενες εφαρμογες,αλλα κ παλι υστερει στην ψυξη το ραζρ🩷
--εχεις το good look που το πιο βασικο υου ειναι οτι βαζεις τις εφαρμογες στο φλεξ παραθυρο (ετσι δεν υστερει απο την μοτο που εχει εγκατεστημενες ολες τις εφαρμογες στο φλεξ παραθυρο).
Κι αν σε καποιες χωρες δεν εχουν το good lock (εχουν το fine lock συνηθως που ειναι ιδιο με το goodlock),τοτε βαζουν την εφαρμογη CoverScreen OS (που ειναι μονο για τα σαμσουνγκ φλιπ) και εγκαθιστουν παλι τις εφαρμογες στην εξωτερικη οθονη.🩵
-και φυσικα οτι υπερτερει στις καμερες,κατι που πολλοι της μοτορολα λενε ψεματα οτι ταχα εχουν καλυτερη καμερα.
---οταν λυγιζεις την πανω οθονη καθετα στο φλιπ 6 ,σου δινει επιλογη να κανεις touchpad το κατω μερος οθονης ,και ετσι να χειριζεσαι με κυλιομενο ποντικι ,την πανω οθονη 🤎

Το φλιπ 6 παρ'οτι ειναι 3,4" ιντσες το flex window ,οταν βαζετε youtube χωραει περισσοτερα στην οθονη ,λογω οτι εχει το ραζρ50 την φασα γραμμη επανω κ κοβει απο φαρδος οθονης του παρ'οτι ειναι 3,6 " ιντσες ,πρακτικα χανει στο γιουτιουμπ που ειναι βασικοτατο (οχι στα παιχνιδια)
,,,,,Μονο το ραζρ 50 πλας εχει οντως μεγαλυτερη οθονη 4" στ'αληθεια (και πρακτικα) απο το φλιπ 6.
Εδω παραδεχομαι οτι νικαει το ραζρ πλας!
,,,,,Συν οτι εχουν ενσυρματη φορτιση 45 βατ τα ραζρ πλας50 κ 30βατ το απλο ραζρ50 , παλι τα παραδεχομαι ,ενω το φλιπ 6 εχει 25 βατ ενσυρματη.
,,,Και κατι ΣΗΜΑΝΤΙΚΟΤΑΤΟ ,η φλεξ οθονη του ραζρ γυριζει στο πλάι ,ενω δεν βρισκω κανεναν τροπο να γυριζει η οθονη του φλιπ 6(κι εψαξα ολες τις εφαρμογες περιστροφης οθονης).κι εδω νικα η ραζρ (αλλα θελω καποιος να μου πει ,περιστρεφεται και στο πλάι η εξωτερικη οθνονη στην εφαρμογη you tube ,η οχι και μενει μονο σε σταθερη θεση landscape )
I ordered one and was trading in my razr 2023 from last year but after a day did not feel enough of a wow factor upgrade to pay the trade in difference so I sent it back, still a nice phone and very tempting to keep but saved myself some money as the form factor is very similar, I will wait another year, I just wish they had not removed Peek Display on the Android 14 update
Yeah, that's about how I feel as well. Still a very nice phone, and still might be the best flip here in the US, but if you have last year's, I don't think you're going to be wow'd enough to upgrade.
Would you recommend getting the razr 40 ultra instead of the 50 ultra then? I want to buy the 40 ultra, because it’s way cheaper but can’t really decide if there’s a difference between the two. 😊

From the comments... It seems like the front screen is the killer feature (over the flip 6). But is that worth moving away from the superior CPU, Camera, build quality, etc...?
I'm not convinced. I don't want to be seduced by a 'gimmick' (I use the term facetiously) when the rest of the specs are superior on the flip6.
(my current daily driver is the flip4 and I'm in my upgrade window... I'm also a power user)

Z Flip 6 com a mesma tela externa pequena acabou, Rasr 50 Ultra pra ser completo faltou a grande Wilde, atualizações e 8 gen 3 estaria perfeito, mas prefiro o Rasr 50 ultra cor Peach Fuzz.

Can anyone confirm the battery life ? How has it been
it lasts 1.5 day for me, easily. I had the flip 5 and that would last only 0.5 days and it was REALLY frustrating. Plus it charges SUPERRRRR fast you won't even notice

Yeah, it's definitely a conversation that needs to happen...same for Samsung. They do seem to get in the way more and more on the outer display. Easy enough to work around them with the quick toggles, but still something to consider.
@@StevealiciousTech the oppo find n flip has a vertical cover screen, unfortunately, they didn't take advantage of it. but that's the right direction, most apps primarily work on vertical orientation, but both flip and razr have a landscape cover screen. motorola already has a workaround for this, if you rotate the phone sideways, any app will be in vertical orientation exactly as the main screen. all that's left is to put the cameras vertically, i don't know why they haven't done it this year, i hope that after seeing the mix flip they'll do it
Why would u want the outer cameras vertically??? The way this phone has them is out of the way of what your looking at. With vertical ones they will be in the way of everything u do and watch on the front screen..

This should be $700 max. Overpriced in my opinion. Flip 6 too. Both only 1080p displays. Ewww. Also the cheap version of snapdragon 😂

Eh, you sacrifice design then...kinda defeats the purpose. If people want top of the line cameras, there are other options...flips are about design.
Flips aren't considered flag ships. They're actually mid range, therefore only 2 cams. Plus due to the form factor, 2 cams is better suited.

@dextercumberbatch4334 but it's a different type of device. This is only $900. Are you saying the hinge and screen technology don't cost extra for something like this? Slab phones don't need those, hence they can be cheaper with other features.
In this flip phone design, I'd rather they just had one camera. The 2x camera in this is pointless. It's just taking up screen real estate.
I was considering buying this phone so I went to Best Buy to look it over. I also looked at the Samsung flip. There is no comparison. The Motorola felt like a plastic kids toy compared to the Samsung phone. Way better build quality. The Samsung looked and felt like a phone that will still be in your pocket 4 years from now. Not the Motorola.
