@@625098evan The problem that can arise with this line of thinking is that it becomes incredibly easy for people to pick and choose which biblical moral laws they want to uphold, often because they are predisposed to want to avoid some (hard to flow against the current of culture for some people). Whether or not Job is a historical account has no bearing on the moral teaching of the OT and NT, which have to be taken literally. There is no indication, from Jesus or the apostles, that the moral law should be viewed as anything but literally. “Us Christians who believe the Bible” my favorite part
this is complicated. language scholars say that the bible is a library. outside of the bible, Hebrew and Greek speaking people wrote other works of fiction and non-fiction. they wrote ligal contracts and historical accounts, as well as poetry and tall tales. language scholars are able study these fore reference, and then look at the bible speculate and what type of literature is being used. the bible says that all scripture is useful for leaning about God. the bible also says that all scripture is breathed from God. these things to not explicitly mean that the bible is entirely literal.
We should remember that Jesus was a fundamentalist regarding the scripture he quoted. Are we Christian students above our teacher to act differently?
@@625098evan basic nuance is required when studying the Bible. There is quite a bit of allegorical and metaphorical content in the Bible.
People with alterior motives take what is obviously literal and claim it to be metaphorical, when it contradicts what they want to be true. These people also take the metaphorical and claim it to be literal when it serves to make the Bible appear absurd.

I knew this is the normal collage experience today, but I’m still shocked at what I’m hearing. No respect, total hatred, and mockery. It is so hard to formulate a thought and ask an intelligent question for Doug in that state. As shown in most of these questions. It’s for them more about the condemnation by their secular worldview in an effort to get more adoration from their peers as they virtue signal themselves into a gay pride parade.
Very much so. So who or whom is teaching this to em? Why are they getting away with it? We are all are at fault letting this come to be. The signs are there, but we are lazy. Are we going to fix it? God bless this mess

I’m not a presupper nor a Calvinist, but my respect for Wilson increased a lot. It’s difficult to be patient in front of a mob, even just get up and speaking in front of a mob.
I’m a gay Christian. These people have little regard for the teachings of Christ or the bible yet put so much stock in it abs take the time to fight against it.
@@theoracle7148 And your comment is relevant to mine why....?
The Oracle interesting that you refer to yourself as a ‘gay Christian’. Does that mean that you believe the whole word of God, it’s teachings including that Christ died (and rose) to bring eternal life to those who repent, and that you lead a life honouring to the King of kings and the Lord of lords?
@@davidr1620 He/she is agreeing with you on the negative aspects of the audience, and expanded upon your original statement adding that although they disregard/essentially hate the Bible they devote a great deal of time and effort in order to refute/embarrass it one way or another, which is ironic. “The Oracle” was just showing his/her agreement and adding in the beginning a disclaimer that he/she was a gay Christian in order to show you that although he/she shared a similarity with the people shown, he/she was not in agreement with them. This is how “the Oracle’s” comment has to do with yours. That was a longer explanation than I thought it would be lol.

Absolutely go to one gay pride parade and you will see the truth behind the facade
God giving people up to their own sexual desires is still a thing.
How about the wickedness of promoting marriage and childbearing with a husband who is a convicted child molester?
I would say most people are sexually immoral by biblical standards, not just the LGBTQ.
I agree that a huge percentage of people are self-indulgent and have to regard for the sanctity of their body (again, not just the LGBTQ).
There are gay Christians, such as myself, who do have moral standards and live lives that aren't so shallow, although I would say it is quite rare. It pains me to see how some Christians rule out the possibility that gay people can live righteous lives. Sexual orientation has no bearing on ideological beliefs and values.

Because that's the TRUTH
Indeed
"The gays"? 🤣🤣🤣🤡
You do know that even Biblically not all sins are equal, right? Homosexuality is not 'on the same plane' as murder.
While childish responses for sure, you should not ignore that these reactions are typically created from past hurt and sadness. Most likely these people have felt some form of religious prejudice in the past and now act out against those they perceive might align with the persecutors. Sadly, those students are likely that way due to their family and the "education" they had before going to that school.
I was a lot like those students(as my whole family is, and as were a lot of my teachers and the kids I went to school with), but thankfully God used the 2020 insanity(the riots and the Covid mandates) to pull me out of that mess.
