As the arranger and co-producer of this song for Teddy, I am so happy to see this great posting of a performance by my brother that I was unaware of. God Bless. Dexter Wansel
It's so sad a month after this concert a car acciden't changed his life forever. He was amazing. I listen and watch his videos all the time. No singer today can top him in live entertainment. What a wonderful legacy of music he left for us. R.I.P TEddy.
Who the hell could put a thumbs down on this?!!! This is a true artists! One of the most beautiful, powerful and soulful voices in recording history ❤️ Inspires me so much
Seen Teddy once after the accident; ... and only wished I could have thanked him personally for the many times his music made my night pure heaven with the girl I love. Like Teddy, she's gone now also ... this music is priceless to me.
No auto tune no special effects just mr pendergrass and a microphone I was there that night what a powerful beautiful man I fell in love that night and I always will be totally stunning and that beard ❤❤❤❤❤❤
You can see the passion from this man, like even without seeing this video you can feel it in the song. Songs like these are the pure essence of R&b. Bless him.
@@carolburke800 Wow! Melt the sun. Don't know about that, but he was an extraordinarily handsome man, with a gorgeous smile.. I think of that entrance he made at the Live Aid show, when he came out, looking as though he'd either come from or was headed to a GQ cover shoot, flashed that gorgeous smile of his and ... the rest, as we know, is history
So sad that one month after this show, one of the greatest soul singers of all-time would never walk again. Teddy, may you be back on your feet in Heaven, movin' n' groovin' n' lettin' loose, makin' all the lovebirds feel the love & passion your music makes us feel everyday here on Earth. Peace & Love, Brother.
The man is 9yrs now in heaven , soon he will be starting singing career . Blessed are those angels who will be watching him performing live . Beautiful voice Teddy had , rip
Although I was too young to witness Teddy Pendergrass in his prime, he was the total package. His voice was as phenomenally beautiful as he was physically.
He was AWESOME! Every girl in HE wanted him and every guy wanted to be him. His voice still sends chills done my spine and his music is one of fondest HE memories.
Man, if not for that tragic car accident he was involved in not too long after doing this show Teddy would've been duking it out with Luther for top spot on the R&B charts for the rest of the 80s and possibly well into the 90s. His solo career at this point was still on the rise with no real slowdown in sight. One can only imagine, though...
Teddy always gave me chills, still does. always will! I saw him in early 80's, Cleveland, Ohio OR Pittsburgh, Pa., I laid a red rose on stage and I still wonder if he ever took it, I wanted to throw my panty's but this Teddy had way too much respect for that, that rose fit Teddy's personality ................. beautiful! ***** R.I.P You Gentle Man
I must add, some men can learn from him, take lessons, because his words and actions are what we real ladies want! I did not say all men, but some men :)
Brenda Leigh Agree...these men can take, and should take some ' 101 Teddy Bear 'classes. Where did the romance and passion go? Now the music, and I say that lightly, is too damn in your face raunchy :(
Great singing and clean as a whistle. I mean great great singing from one of the best. I’ve seen a ton of singers but they don’t consistently sound as good as the album like he does. He makes it look and sound effortlessly.
Teddy feelin this.....he put up two fingers “two time loser”....grown man singing about love.....priceless May the Creator Bless Teddy Pendergrass forgive his sins and grant Brotha Teddy Paradise
One of the best there and still here, amazing, beautiful voices of all time along with Luther and many others we've lost. Much respect. Love me some Teddy Pendergrass always.. Beautiful
One of my favourite artists and a big regret I never got to see him live in concert. Had a style all of his own; irreplaceable and never ever forgotten. RIP Teddy; will always love you. xx

What a real and true performer, I wish I had the chance to see him live. Saw so many in the past Heatwave and the Spinners are up there. The real thing that stands out is the performance, its so honest.
I am so embarrassed to say I didn’t know of this song until Mac Royals on The Voice performed this song before he was eliminated. It gave me goosebumps and was performed so beautifully that I went looking for the original version to see how he made it his own. What a blessing this song is to the world. And you Mr. Pendergrass would be so proud of how your music lives on! Rest in Peace! This was an effortless performance. Gosh, we miss music like this!

ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW BEAUTIFUL
I learn something new about Music partucular Black Music and it's soo cool.
Be very proud. He was an amazing performer with an incredible voice. We don't have those anymore today. God bless you..
Not a singer in the present day could match this man’s voice wow!!

Who the hell could put a thumbs down on this?!!! This is a true artists! One of the most beautiful, powerful and soulful voices in recording history ❤️ Inspires me so much
Tone deaf, know nothing but autotune collaborations, & to top it off their use to "hog callers" not singers🤫🤫
Seen Teddy once after the accident; ... and only wished I could have thanked him personally for the many times his music made my night pure heaven with the girl I love. Like Teddy, she's gone now also ... this music is priceless to me.
Look at how when this man just opens his mouth that voice comes out so naturally. WOW!! And his female background vocalist's were flawless!!!
Not too many singers can perform like the legends from the past.
Today's singers: "I need autotune."
Teddy: "Someone give me a stage."
No auto tune no special effects just mr pendergrass and a microphone I was there that night what a powerful beautiful man I fell in love that night and I always will be totally stunning and that beard ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Teddy Pendergrass was one of the best singers of his time. Left us with his brilliant vocals but sadly way too soon.
I agree the same.
