Man I am super late to the party on flats class, I’m from illinois do a lot of musky n bass fishin in northern wis. Get down to 10k islands in naples couple times a year do okay on reds, trout, and snook….just okay. And some days we get skunked so we throw half a lady out there for shark and jig on a long drift in the mangroves. Never seen so many product plugs, but gotta give u credit for making it informative and interesting with good visual affects and video production. Def shot thru that flats class playlist in a day with notes. Can’t wait to use some of your techniques on attracting and finding reds, and matching the baits to what they’re foraging on. Def the best south florida+ channel I’ve perused.
I've been experimenting with different connection knots for heavier leaders. Been leaning towards the trilene knot and the canoe knot you showed a couple videos ago.
I've never been much of a spoon fisherman. I know they have their place. Used to see Mike Hakala quite often back in the day on Mosquito Lagoon. Running his charters and fine tuning his next business adventure. Tight lines!
Interesting , never been much of a spoon guy neither but I do have some in my tackle box . So I understand this correctly if there’s a lot of bait in an area you use the spoons to stand out ?
Nice Catch!!!

Glad I could help out and appreciate the feedback
May I ask what chartplotter you are using??
I fished up there this April and the amount of life out there is incredible compared to old Tampa Bay
It’s getting busier though!
Videography is spot on. Whoever filmed this video knows that they are doing and it shows.

Honestly they work great 👍🏼

That and overcast, breezy days are best for spoons!
I’ve used a spoon or two…. My lure of choice. Gold, black, and silver spoons depending on the water conditions.
Like hearing this Johnny
I’ve been saltwater fishing in Tampa for about a year straight about 2-3 times a week and I can definitely see how speed could play the biggest part.
Great to see you getting out there often… the fish won’t wait.
