I think of the Turkish Towel in International Cha-Cha as the inverse of the American Style Rhythm Cha-Cha figure called the Dansan, which has similar switches in sides from L to R and R to L and the natural opposite for the follower, although the leader is back and the follower goes in front of the man L and R and L again, unlike the Turkish Towel counterpart. Also, this Towel reminds me of the Sliding Doors in Rumba, though using cha-cha timing instead, and it is also almost the inverse of the so-called Cha-Cha Sweetheart figure. Favorite entry to Turkish Towel for me would be an Alemana Turn preceding it, and after 2 3 of the Alemana, I lead lady around from R side to back of me in such a way that the lady will do a curving chasse progressing (no spiral here), leading with my L arm on her R arm, on the 4 and 1, to finally set up the Towel figure.
We've been practicing this move from your class video. This one made it more clearer to me. Thank you so much. Will think about visiting Riga one day to thank you personally.
Where did the lady get this beautiful skirt from? It's really lovely!! Have been searching everywhere, but can't find it. Who is the producer or where can I get it? Thanks for helping me :-)))
Very nice, thanks! Can you tell me how to indicate Cuban Breaks to the follower? I was looking for some particular shaping, but couldn't pick anything out.
Thank you so much Egils. Great teacher, make it easy to learn. Will try at dance floor and sure will impress my friends

Thanks Iris for appreciating Sveta’s beautiful skirt. She bought it in Ballei shop in Riga, Latvia 🇱🇻. I will let know if it’s available on internet.

Thanks Dave for interesting question. I would say Lady follows visually. Another option is to join L-R hand hold and lead physically.
Bạn nào có link nhạc của vũ điệu này làm ơn chỉ cho mình với. Xin cám ơn!
