    Yum....I'm going to make this so I can sandwich it in between Macarons. I just watched your Macaron recipe and it was the best Macaron tutorial I've ever seen. You make everything so achievable. Thank you, Stephanie!

    Absolutely the best Raspberry Jam I've ever tasted. The lemon juice adds a nice acidic kick to it. I also tried it with the scones. The scones didn't turn out too pretty but I'm sure with practice it'll be ok. They tasted good with he raspberry jam filling :) Thanks for these two recipes. :)

    just finished making my jam, I just put strawberries instead of raspberries and it came out delicious, going for blueberry jam next, thank you for the recipe. NIght, night!

    I've never used liquid pectin. I would read the instructions that come with the pectin, as you may have to make the jam a little differently. Actually the recipes and instructions that come with the pectin are usually pretty good.

    Yes you could use brown sugar. The granulated white sugar I use is cane sugar.

    I just made this- it turned out so good I decided to make some for holiday gifts ( just a day or so before giving it).
    I’m not sure if family members like raspberry-- please oh please would you do the same recipe with other frozen fruits and figure out the amounts for ingredients? Fruit is expensive and at this point I can’t afford to experiment to figure it out myself.
    Please? Regardless thank you. The lemon blueberry bread is divine as well.

    -If I use natural berry's would I use the same amount as the frozen berry's and would I have to add water?

    Pectin allows you to use less sugar by adding texture, but doesn't add much to the sweetness. Most jams pectin can be used because without it you add so much sugar.

    Stephanie you are simply amazing! You teach me something everytime I watch a video. I am VERY curious if this recope would work with cherries, strawberries and blueberries.....I Would love to use those berries. If I wanted to leave out the extra sugar could I just make the jam as directed w/o it?

    Hi Stephanie, I have made mahaleb cherry jam, the jelly was nice and sweet but the cherries were sour... I added sugar, pectin, lemon (in powder), almond extract and vanilla sugar.. when I did the same recipe but instead of pectin I used cornstarch the mahaleb cherries were delicious.. Any thoughts?

    Every fruit would need a different amount of sugar and some need pectin, while others can be made without at.

    May I please get the Amazon link to the powdered fruit pectin that you use please? I am running into the same problem of finding it on Amazon like I did with the Wheat Bran which I want to thank you again so greatly for sharing the Amazon link to that!     Is it OK to make this and then ship as a Christmas present without any special preparation or does it need to be refrigerated, so that it is not a shippable item?

      This recipe is for a refrigerator jam so it does need to be refrigerated.

    Hi Stephanie, it's not easy to find powdered fruit pectin in my part of e world, what is an alternative substitute?

      You can just reduce the jam, let it cook a little longer until it's thicker. You don't really need pectin with raspberry jam, my mother has been making them since i was 8 from our garden.

    Every fruit is a little different. I've never made strawberry or cherry jam, so I'm not sure the exact amount of sugar and pectin these two fruits would need. Sorry.

    SO can you give me an idea of what changes I would need to make strawberry and cherry jam.....I would really appreciate it. I don't like raspberries.....:( or should I just search around. I didn't want to do that because I trust your knowledge and recipes. So I was hoping you could help. I am going to my best friends and we are going to make these together. She has a big family, I will be making a pan for me at the same time.

    You can make it the same way she made this one....just play around with it. Everyone does it different. I do not use pectin with my jams.

    I'm sure you could just omit it and then it would be an unsweetened version of jam, but otherwise, you could use some kind of sugar substitute I assume if you're a diabetic and that's your concern. Though, I'm no professional, I'm just saying what seems obvious to me.

    Two weeks?! I'd want my jam to last a little longer than that! Most jams off the shelf last up to a year :-/

      +safctilidie you might want to stick with a store bought then. Have a look at the ingredients though which allow it to last that long.
