@@dylana.9057 I always thought that! Lmao it sometimes feels like he’s trying to hold his own self at such a professional level that he sounds strange as compared to how he was when he was full time
I met Cody at a house show in Feb of 2016. He was Stardust at the time and even if he hated it, he was one of the few people to interact with fans after the show. He talked with my family for a few moments and took a picture with us, really a great guy.
It’s really heartwarming to see Cody reaping the rewards for all of the risks he took since he originally left, the journey has been insane. I honestly hope he wins at WM, they’ll be no better opponent to dethrone Roman than him! 🙏
Kinda crazy how nobody is talking about what Cody talked about here with his run in AEW with the crowd WANTING him to heel turn so his meta way of being a heel was to not give them that satisfaction. His character really was like Homelander, a heel who pretends to be a face, it's fascinating.
10:18 I love how this applies to Roman after Wrestlemania. As loud as the reaction is for him the past year, a good amount of people still believe in the hype and cheer him. Roman 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘬 Cody's full circle moment and the finish to his story. The divide is now as clear as day, and the demand for Cody to win is now stronger than ever. The heat on Roman for simply being the one who won even when it felt like he shouldn't have will probably skyrocket as much as when he beat the Undertaker.
What a well spoken man Cody is,what a fantastic interview. His story is so inspirational,i remember watching him in Legacy and to think that he would come this far is just wow. I cant think of a Wrestlemania main event that feels this big,its just amazing what Cody has achieved and will be achieving in the future. Dusty is looking down on him from heaven and is probably a very proud father
So happy to see Cody Rhodes back home in WWE, he's been a real fresh change of pace for the WWE, so excited to see him compete against Roman Reigns at WM 39 for the Universal Championship, great interview as always Ariel 👏👏👏
Cody Rhodes journey is very inspirational, he went from an underutilized son of a hall of famer Dusty Rhodes, to a jobber as Stardust, to the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes. His star power, growth and transition, he'll become like Randy Orton, he'll surpass his father's legacy.
@@Cultofpersonality09129 he will bruh, the American dream maybe a legend but Cody Rhodes will achieve the one thing that Dusty Rhodes failed to accomplish in his tenure, that's the WWF/WWE world heavyweight championship
I haven't watched wrestling in years, no idea what the Wrestlemania storylines are. But there's something so incredibly captivating and engaging about Cody that I've been checking out all his interviews. Feels like this could be the start of something legendary.
Cody is so inspirational. I have listened to every single interview and podcast he's been on this week minute by minute. He's been through it all and to the bottom and back. He's ready to be the face.
Cody imo was the greatest IC Champion in the PG Era (even over Miz) with a brilliant "Dashing" to "Undashing" transformation gimmick while bringing back the white IC belt and every feud had a great story so the fact that that fan didn't know Cody before Stardust blows my mind.
Incredible role model for all aspiring wrestlers - treated like garbage at WWE, knew his worth, left to show his true potential & returned as number 1.
I got everything I needed out of this interview when Cody confirmed he was actually a bad guy before leaving AEW. Loved what he was doing with the Homelander get up and everything
What an interview... I remember Cody back in the day..understudy to Randy then doing the Stardust run..amazing how far he has come.... Good on him for leaving...that normally ends badly but he has come back better. Cody Rhodes is defn the future...so well spoken, articulate, genuine. With Reigns there is feigned cynicism, Cena and Rock have an artificial bravado, this guy is the real deal. This guy can evolve into something great for the buisness. WWE made a good choice bringing him back.
Stardust is about to headline WrestleMania. Cody deserves everything he is getting so far. Now to complete his journey and bring that championship belt home to dusty. ❤
The injury was a blessing for him, he would have definitely slowed down. Him being off created the perfect scenario to wait for Wrestlemania to end Roman´s reign and get a new face of the company, otherwise McIntyre would have won in Clash at the Castle. Cody can be the right guy, time will tell.
McIntyre was definitely not winning. Cody dethroning Reigns (not sure it'll happen tomorrow, could go either way tbh lol) was always the plan the moment he signed his return. Vince saw unlimited dollar signs in that american nightmare logo
Not blessing for cody, I think it was a blessing for sami. They might kick off the bloodline feud early. Sami is the one who benefited from Cody's injury.
Not really. I think it just slowed down the momentum he had, plus it didn’t let him to be fully in the story. Plus the Sami storyline would probably had been cut short or different.
Cody and Seth I think don’t “get along” because of Cody smashing the throne and how he acted towards Triple H at first in AEW. Seth and Trips are close and that’s probably his issue with Cody, even though Trips and Cody worked it out.
Imagine a dream match of a 5 on 5 match at Backlash. Roman Reigns, Jey, Jimmy, Solo, and The Rock to round out the Bloodline vs Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, a returning Randy Orton as their own enforcer and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Never would happen, but just imagine the hype and buzz a match like that could generate
Good obviousness is the perfect way to describe cody winning this year when he compared it to last year. Kofi in 2019 was obvious and so was drew and Bryan. It’s okay to have that.

Yes. Great insight into his run there. He's got a good mind for the business
He got booed to hell. Potentially embarrassing with the TNT title domino effect. Even I gotta say his run with Impact was better than that.
