I don't really want to see him face brock. I don't think brock has the passion. He will just want to show up do the job and go home. He should be against someone who is passionate about the business as him to really highlight his ability.

We’ve only just gotten into the second layer of Gunther’s character. This man is extremely well spoken and patient, barley any Ums or Ughs while he spoke. He also looks like he should be a Hollywood villian, he has acting potential. He absolutely can main event wrestlemania.

Ha that's a fantastic interview. His mindset feels so different in so many ways, it really gels with his presentation too. No idea what's next or coming for the man, but he's certainly earned what he's gotten thus far.
That's a future world champion right there. Incredible attitude and he's incredible in ring too. He probably has 4 or 5 of the top 10 best WWE/NXT matches in the last 3 years.
He needs to wrestle draganov qgain in wwe. That was incredible
@@richardcelaya7361 those Draganov matches are phenomenal. He was great with Tyler Bate, Pete Dunne and Ciampa too, His run in NXT was ludicrously good.
Saw his PWG debut at BOLA 2017 in Reseda and it's been so fun to root for Walter/Gunther on his wrestling journey. A great role model for aspiring sports entertainers.
That was against Keith Lee if I remember correctly (?).
I've always liked this guy but after listening to how cool calm & collected he's smart well spoken & a guy that I would love to drink some beers with. Now for me he skyrockets straight up near the top of my favorite wrestlers & characters. I hope a lot of other ppl share my thoughts & respect that I just gave him cuz he deserves it tenfold

Mannnnn, on screen Gunther is my fav wrestler by a mile. In interviews I love him just as much, I could listen to him speak about the sport all day

This guys is eventually going to be a mega babyface. He's extremely humble, down to earth, has an intimidating presence, can put on a slobberknocker, knows how to sell, and honestly his gimmick even as a heel it's not very heelish. He's the ring general trying to restore honor to his great sport. What could pro wrestling fans dislike about that? I personally wouldn't mind if he holds the IC Title for another full year, but I get the feeling Sheamus is winning by pinning McIntyre and Gunther will move onto win MITB and go into the world title picture.
absolutely, honestly the only reason that Imperium are seen as a heel group is because they're matched up mainly against Sheamus and his brutes

Hands down, the best in-ring wrestler in the business right now. Nobody can match him. Triple H is doing a great job taking care of him.
That's a bit of stretch there. He's amazing, but the BUSINESS stretches well beyond WWE. So that is definitely not the case.

I’m conflicted. I would love to have him retain but him dropping the belt and then spinning off to Cody vs Gunther storyline would be great. So much so that Gunther could finish that storyline as a face. Maybe they hold it off until next year and have Gunther win the RR.
He should definitely retain. Once Cody beats Reigns, then Reigns is off to Hollywood and The Bloodline disbands, than that leaves Gunther as its most dominant guy. Drew and Sheamus don't need it now, they can win it after Gunther breaks HTM's 454 day IC title reign record, Gunther is currently on a roll after his RR performance, got to keep up his momentum.

I wasn't a fan of gunther and his gimmick at first but his in ring style and skills are really impressive. I think he will be universal champion by end of next year.

Taking out the nostalgia for guys like Jericho, Honky or the Miz-Dolph feud (which it was only good for one month, remember that his other feuds were with Darren Young and Apollo) but Gunther's IC reign has to be the best of all time, in my opinion the best IC champion of all time, banger after banger, I don't remember an IC champion like this. Maybe Rollins at 2018, but it was a short reign.
I pray to God wwe handles him well. I can't wait to see him main event wrestlemania one day. Really excited for him.
Anyone who is still complaining about the name change needs to let it go. Gunther isn't a bad name and he has been treated well on the main roster.

Dude just became my favorite wrestler. Dude stays in the PRESENT and is focused on this very moment. That speaks volumes among emotional people who worry about things they can't control.
This is so far the only new talent they've had where I just look at him and know he has "it." Looks like an absolute killer, wrestles a no-nonsense style, and carries himself with physical presence. I think what I like most is how he has his own personality in the ring. A lot of guys in there have a very similar general gameplan they stick to, while a Gunther match manages to stand out on its own which is extremely commendable and fresh.

He gots the look and can speak well, I can see him holding the heavyweight belt someday.
I can’t believe this dude is supposed to be a Heel. Dude is so softspoken, professional and elegant when talking.
I love it though, it’s different than other heels. He respects his opponents, the matches he takes part in, the sport he partakes in. He’s all business. Unlike other heels that are just cocky, he know’s HE IS THAT GOOD and backs it up.
It's almost as if wrestling is just a show or something....
I really rate gunther! Since he's come to the main roster he's Bern killing it! Wwe champion in the making 👏👏👏🏆
Ticks all the boxes for a future world champion. Smart, eloquent, patient, skilled technical as well as being a powerhouse. Could be the face of the company for a number of years if WWE plays it right.

I remember watching Walter/Gunther vs. Ilia Dragunov at NXT '21, watching his brutality in the ring and his presentation as an unbreakable force made me an instant fan of him. I wish for this man to become a World Champion next year.

Gunther is one cool dude, with a great mindset. On the IC/US belts not being as significant, I think in addition to historic runs like what Gunther is on, the heavy weight belts being tied to the Bloodline storyline have made the IC/US Championships dramatically more relevant as they are the only singles belts up for grabs so to speak in the WWE currently.
Gunther might steal the show this weekend. This guy is such a great worker in the ring and his promos are tops!
