I wonder do you is it the same size thread for the helicoil that you're drilling for the coil is that the next size is that a standard thread like from quarter 20 you'll be using 5/16... Tap. Or is that a special tap for the helicoil alone
On the heli coil pack the instructions will tell you what size tap you need ,not the same size as the bolt you want to put in ,there is a chart online about it
@@CarsandFarms thank you.. I'm learning about these things.. I got a pack of them I don't know how I've got them 1/420 had them for years.. made my own insertion tool from a glorified Schrader valve tool.. somebody had drilled it for 516 it goes in it finished up just below the level of the face of the surface.. it seems to be working fine but I know I'm missing some important. Drill information
You totally can. Drill out,go the next size up. Go to the hardware store and find a matching bolt. Drill out the caliper hole as well. It's not like it's the guide pin bolt.
Oops.. forgot the red locktight
His first time bro chill lol
@@WhiteColonizer just saying.. Wouldnt you want to point out an oops?
Helicoil for caliper bracket😬😬
A drill for a tap handle, no oil, no backing out😨
But did it work ?
I tap holes with a drill on slow. Speed just did one a couple nights ago. Never any issues

Haha, ya, even I have to do a little research to make sure I got the drill bit size and tap size correctly
Caliper hanging...
No old owner stripped the hole out
Why not just get. Another bolt?
Can't upsize the bolt
