This movie is based on a classic novel of Thailand, wriiten by Tommayati...the story is about a true love between Japanese soldier and Thai woman which was token place in WWII amongs the conflict between two countries. And yes...we never have been colonized by any country in the world....Japan invaded Thailand in WWII, they never rule us as a colony . It is different between colonize and occupy....and we never said by ourselves and flatter ourselves...the history books of this world say it too. yes, Thailand never colonized but in world war II the Thai government allowed Japan to establishes a base
and use Thailand as a marching route in exchange for not have to fighting with Japan.
this story is about tragic love between japanese officer and thai local girl.
at first, she hated him because japan army invaded the country, later she loved him, but at the end he die.

Japan just ask Thai for help building train railway fight Myanmar that time U.K. Take over so we kind of friend they bring all prisoner from uk Australia USA holland Filipino Taiwan etc. to build and Thai ppl alway hidden to help them don't let Japan soilder know when the war end those prisoners country give the doctor who help all western prisoners that Japan bring train like crazy work all day they give him honor n thank Thai ppl then they help Thailand conclude that Thai never lose the war
