Welcome back to MEC-TEC, in this episode we are doing a job on the C1 that i have been wanting to do since i bought it over a year and a half ago ! A Full Detail and for good measure we have new wheels too !

I rub a bar of soap on my wet n dry when rubbing down makes the cutting in less harsh

Looks great. I used to use back to black for stuff like mirrors and it would work well on the bumper inserts too.
Thanks mate, i use to use back to black about 20 years ago but alas it seems they have taken all the stuff that made it work out, i find it doesnt do anything now 😩

Very nice work and the wheels work very well. Surprised you did not remove the old dealer sticker on the back window. Brasso wadding works very well getting off the sticky stuff left behind.

Hi mate, thanks ! Glad you like it, i bought the wheels 2nd hand from facebook marketplace so unsure where you would get them new, they are 15" as you said

MEC-TEC, I have only just recently started watching your Channel and the work you have been doing on your Citroen C1, which has been excellent, and very useful for me, as I myself own a Citroen C1.
Now you have fitted the Alloy wheels to your C1, do you still have the original C1 steel wheels with tyres you removed? If so would you be interested in selling the set of 4 to me please.?
Hi mate, welcome to the channel and thanks for the msg ! Unfortunatly the tyres on the steel wheels are pretty much worn out so not much good really

I'm not really bothered about the Tyres, it's the steel wheels I really want, so long as wheel are in goodish condition, e.g the rims have not been dented on curbs and the like. I want another set so I can have my wheels refurbished and I don't have to have my car off the road while they are being done, mine are rusty and need a really good respray. So if yours are in good condition I'll buy them from you, so long as the price is right. So if you want to sell the full set, can you quote me a quote me a price please for the wheels, plus postage? 👍

Did you need any spigot rings, with the aftermarket wheels?
Hi mate, yes i did use spigot rings with these wheels 👍
@@mec-tec : I think my spigot rings doesn't fit properly causing vibrations. I have fitted 15 inch 6J ET38 alloys with 195/45/15 tyres to match the OEM ride height. Would that make the ride much stiffer? How is your experience ?
To get the outside dia of the , I need to take the wheels off to measure?

Hi mate, the tyre size is 195/45/15 6.5j wide, from memory the offset if 38 👍
But did it Leak ???
