The biggest advantage Brock Purdy had was there were no expectations. He was free to play his game, win or lose. Just so happens he won. A lot. I think because there was little pressure.
Clayton Tune might be the guy to change the narrative of the Cardinals being awful in 2023 season or just be might not be guy at all, you never know what to expect.

I made a game based on any quarterbacks ability to execute in the red zone by throwing for touch downs only!!!!! Here are the rules: Point for throwing the ball in the end zone for a touch down Point for throwing a touch down from ten yard line in Clayton Tune had 40 total passing TD's . By the rules: 20 TD's in the end zone. 6 TD's from the ten yard line in = 26 That leaves 14 TD's YAK??? (Houston Cougar's depth chart Tank Dell 5' 10" or bust with emerging talent) By comparison: Caleb Williams (He is a straight up Dogg!!!!) 42 TD's 19 TD's in the end zone. 12 TD's from the ten yard line in = 31 That leaves 11 TD's YAK??? (USC's wide receiver depth chart is three deep!!!! there is no drop off) When Tune said he was the best Quarterback in the draft you can understand where he was coming from. You go to battle with the soldiers that you're surrounded by 💣💣💣💣
Why was Tune drafted? Hes a QB and KM is injured. Getting Dobbs is just more Cardinals madness. Wasted 5th round pick. You telling me Tune can do worse than Dobbs?
Pretty surprised by this one. I kinda gave Tune a meh rating coming out of the draft, maybe a journeyman backup. I saw him as just average, no major flaws and no elite talents. I need to reevaluate him, but I think having anyone that will actually play the position of QB would be step forward for Arizona. Football changes, but it never does. To win you need to control the line of scrimmage, the clock, and time of possession. None of that happens with Murray under center.

Kicking a QB based on one shaky season plagued by injuries across the board is not a good look. With that said, they might be tanking to trade the first pick away for multiple first-round picks in the next couple of years.

As a AZ Cardinals fan, I would love to see Clayton Tune play in game #2 of the 2023 season. After watching game #1 with Joshua Dobbs start and unable to secure the win it would have been nice to have allowed Clayton some game time in the second half. Hopefully our new coach can see the importance of allowing Clayton some playing time. I guess all I can do is hope. And pray.
I think it would be such an Arizona move for them to trade Clayton Tune in the off-season even if he has a good rookie season just so they keep Kyler Murray happy. I could totally see a scenario like that that they could do if there’s a controversy that happens between Tune vs. Murray
K1 isn't going to be like that. Dude will mentor Tune. Cards are keeping k1 unless he just flat out doesn't play this year. K1 is better than Caleb and Tune right now and has better legs. It wasn't k1 fault the cards sucked last year. That was all Kingsbury. In fact K1 was th reason they were undefeated two seasons ago. If k1 had a good coach, the az cards wouldn't be as effed as they are now.

Based off of his attitude, I just don’t see how he’s going to be okay with that.

Fun Fact, Tune had a higher PFF rating for his preseason this year then the PFF ratings ALL of the QBs taken in the 1st or early 2nd round received for theirs. Yes, that's just preseason, but does speak well of both his talent, and his NFL readiness. As a Cardinals fan I REALLY do not get that Dobbs trade, it meant we spent two 5th rounders on back up QBs this offseason when we already had Colt, Blough, Driskel, and Kyler on the roster. Assuming they knew Colt's arm was shot and that Kyler wouldn't be able to start the year, I can see an argument for drafting Tune to compete with Driskel and Blough till Kyler returns, but we're not trying to win games this year, so even if Dobbs floor is higher then those 3 guys, who cares, I'd much rather see Tune or even Blough developed then Dobbs keep us in games we'll probably still lose, yet we gave up a 5th for him so I could see him getting starts just to justify wasting such a valuable resource during a rebuilding year. So yeah, excited to see what Tune can do, worried I won't because Dobbs will get the start, then Kyler will take over till the offseason when we'll either trade Kyler and pick Caleb, or trade the Caleb pick and build up around Kyler. Clayton tune as an athletic nobody. Doesn’t have the vision, timing or anticipation for NFL. Not even a Canadian footballer. Seems like a good guy. I was excited about him until I saw his preseason. blough is twice as good. If the Cardinals believed in him they wouldn’t have given up a draft pick in desperation to bring in another nobody who probably doesn’t belong in the league either. .
