I'm so glad you're reading The Murder Of Roger Ackroyd, it has one of the most phenomenal endings. I don't know if "controversial" is the right way to describe it but it certainly crosses a lot of boundaries that twist endings usually have. But as always, Christie writes it so that everything makes perfect sense in the end.

7:21 Please Read Tokyo Zodiac Murders if you love to figure out the ending of a crime novel. This books challenges you to do it. There is a note in middle of the book that asks you to solve the mystery if you can after giving you all the hints that are needed to solve the crime. 17:35 I would recommend you to read the book. Movie didn't really work for me. But book was a good read.
Angela Carter is the best! I'm afraid of the moment when I read all of her books and loose the novelty of her creations, so I'm just mostly rereading the ones I've read.

As a biology major, I thoroughly appreciate your showcasing of 'shrooms, though I cannot say I can identify them, but learning how to identify mushrooms is high up on my never-ending list of things I want to learn. I picked up 'let the right one in' by John Ajvide Lindqvist for spooky season, really liking it so far, some weird, creepy things going on in a very gray and gloomy atmosphere. And John definitely doesn't seem to shy away from telling you the gory, yucky stuff that you just don't wanna know, but you wanna know 😉
