Same I love mine. Changed to suspension seat post, new tires, box handlebars, new crankset and pedals, hydraulic brakes…still cheaper altogether than engine pro and honestly I don’t need more power..
@@Greyalien587 yeah I changed my handlebars and pedals,I live on the edge of a forest and spend a couple of hours every day putting the bike through hell, lol,it has more than enough power
A torque sensor and cadence sensor that's switchable is a awesome idea and several people i would bet would really make use of this valuable feature. They also need to make them more waterproof as my other half rode his to work and it started raining halfway there and water got in the controller box and shorted out the electrical system. Its fixed now but it took over a month with numerous emails photos and videos before two new controllers were sent out. All your ideas are really well worth Engwe taking up as that will certainly make their company future proof and way ahead of other Chinese companies. The Government don't want ebikes to progress and more people start using them as that will mean they lose money from taxes that they could waste elsewhere and not on roads and cycling infrastructure. The police certainly need more training and be more understanding as at the moment they don't have a clue. Especially when they stop an ebike that has no throttle a 250 watt motor and is used for daily exercise and shopping by a local pensioner doing absolutely nothing wrong. They have even pulled over a normal non motorised cycle because they were convinced it was an ebike 😂
yep, all fantastic points and upgrades. It would be worth paying that extra to get those changes/upgrades for sure. Regards Engwe support, I asked them if they could send me some numbers for the important torque values for bolts/axle nuts/etc for my bro's new Engine Pro 2.0. Whilst they did reply quickly, it was not much use sadly. First they sent me the 75N/m value for the motor torque. Then when I went back to them explaining it in basic English, I got... "engwe uk, We are sorry we are unable to provide the document with the torque values for the bolts on the bike you mentioned.". It might be an idea for a vid :) cheers !
It's a fantastic wishlist, that many riders would like to see built into any future production line ebike. Unfortunately, sourcing and trialling different components is a costly exercise. Design changes and prototypes can hold up production runs, leading to missed order shipping dates , which hurt end of month income sales. I think any upgrades done, if they wish to choose , will be easy low cost upgrades. Like the Uk government's thoughts on ebike change , manufacturers i dont think are pushing for any consumer tools to get around any EU or UK laws
Depends on if they want to expand their customer base. Let’s be honest here, these are off the shelf parts built in China. We’ve all had questionnaires sent to us by Engwe … how many of us have actually filled them in? Except me maybe.
I have an ep pro 2,I ride in the rain all the time, never had a problem with it
@@paultoomer2756 yet.
@@ModProjects4306 aha,yes that's true,it's a great solid bike though,it gets a very bumpy ride round the forest every morning,so far so good
@@paultoomer2756 got a test of a couple of suspension seat posts coming up. Keep your eyes out for that.

Nothing I can disagree with Dawn.

Are you saying that I can’t drive Engwe L20 when it’s raining? The display isn’t sealed?
I’m pretty sure the display isn’t IP rated. It’ll be fine in a shower but proper heavy rain? Who knows. Like I said, water finds a way.
