Hello Steve. This 10 generation made me want it with its Sauternes finish so I placed an order for 31€, I found the price interesting. Thanks for this test👍

Very good video sir. I’m starting to be interested by brandies as well vis a vis Bourbon and Scotch.

I'm a Ferrand from the states. Very distant relative I gotta try it.

I bought 1840 and I had my home Camus - La Grande Marque bottle, so I tried one vs another, and I was surprised the Camus nose simply was lost in the brightness of 1840. However, 1840 with 45 ABV a lot harder on the palate than soft and gentle Camus.

They’re some great cognacs. Still think hard to beat at the moment for me early on.

i found something called "Pierre Ferrand Selection des Anges", the bottle looks gorgeous with little angels, thinking of buying that one. any advice if you tried it Steve? its more for special occasions than anything else, is it worth the money? its not cheap, something in the range of 200 euros

Honestly. It’s amazing. Basically PFs XXO I think. That’s the stuff I mentioned in the first video. Alexander Gabriel’s special bottle that we polished off. Think it’s about £160 here in the UK.

@@brandycognaccalvados ooh, time to rewatch that video then. thanks a bunch! ♥ my intuition was like "oh this one has to be good", but thats almost half a paycheck here in serbia so i had to be sure

Simply having never drunk PF I can't really comment, but for a mainstream Cognac drinker who buys his booze from a supermarket, my preferrence is Remy Martin. The really great Cognacs are not in a supermarket and they're eye wateringly expensive.

I wouldn’t ever drink Pierre Ferrand meat. Cognacs that are delicious meat start for me at about $250 a bottle before taxes. Delicious! Not as fabulous as high end single malt scotch, lacks viscosity, but it’s lovely to sip neat!!
