A genuine person speaking the truth. When you listen to music just for the excitement of it, it's different than listening to something that you can actually relate to or have a real message. Africa has so much history within itself as a continent and the people specifically indigenous people who make up the african culture. So there is plenty to talk about when it comes to creating a music such as afrobeats and amapiano where the people can express themselves in God in culture and as a people, as they did even when i first started listing in '09. But is now about the "bag" like he says. Not too many people will express this truth b/c thier love for music and the people listing are not genuinely about teaching or relating anything real. In other words there's so much more to music than just it being about dancing. Love Omah's unique way of telling stories, not just his own but everyone else's. 💜💜
This was a great interview, Tetris asked such deep and insightful questions, I enjoyed it! One thing I love about Omah Lay is that you can clearly see the ‘PURPOSEFULNESS’ in his music, like rather than a random stream of words and sounds that are put together because they sound good, you can tell he’s very intentional with his work, and that’s great. I loved his comments about the state of Afrobeats right now, especially with the whole log drums this, log drums that, it’s tiring. He specifically mentioned the genres that influenced Afrobeats like Fuji, Highlife etc, and I think that was on purpose. PS: it will NEVER cease to amaze me how Omahlay’s talking voice and his innocent face/vibes is SUCH a contrast with the kind of things he says in his songs (e.g., Ye Ye Ye and Bend You)...😂😂😂
Omah lay is one of artist i hear his songs and change me help me to know who am i , I love him more and i respect his song so much💜💜💜💜💜💜
