Mich finally got his Africa content 🥹🥲
I was absolutely GUTTED when I saw how tough Group A will be for Nigeria. I wanted us to have an easy road to the knockouts by winning the group. Cote d' Ivoire will be a challenge, but with our players we could definitely handle them. The one team I wanted no part of was Equatorial Guinea because of that defense. Their attack is nothing special outside of Dorian Jr, Josete Miranda, and Emilio Nsue; however, they have enough to compete combined with Luis Enrique Nsue and Basilio Ndong anchoring a stout backline. We split both legs of AFCON qualifying with Guinea-Bissau (I still don't know how they beat us in Abuja with our home crowd). I wanted Nigeria to cruise into the knockout round, but it's going to be a dogfight in Group A. DAMNIT!!!!!
I can understand how Nigerian fans might be a bit nervous. But as a neutral, I absolutely love Group A! Massive upset potential
@TheDeadBallTV It's going to be fun, no question. I just hope we don't bottle this. I agree with your takes on Nigeria 🇳🇬 and Jamaica 🇯🇲 who ironically have the same problem. Both my countries don't perform well when they get deep into international competition 😕. I laugh every time you, Connor, or Jake mentions it, but then i worry because we haven't found the answers yet. Love ❤️ the content on DeadBall TV 📺.
Morocco is the contender for this. C'mon. Senegal has recently demonstrated a rather slumpy performance, they can surprisingly beat Brazil and also lost to Algeria at home. There are senses that Senegal is now lacking the needed stability they once achieved so well before demonstrated by the recent unstable displays.
Gonna disagree slightly.
Both Morocco AND Senegal look shaky.
Morocco:
- Draws with Peru, Ivory Coast, and Cape Verde
- Loss to South Africa
Senegal:
- Draws with Rwanda, Benin
- Loss to Algeria
This tournament is wide open for the taking.
Now for Oceania 👀
I never pay attention to Oceania & Africa before so this would be new for me
I have no clue what's going on in that conference tbf
Cameroon, Gambia, Guinea, and Senegal is on of the strongest groups I've ever seen in AFCON. Bold Prediction: Whoever emerges from the carnage that is Group C, will make it to the semifinals. Top teams of all 4 pods in one group is some gladiator stuff man. I'm very concerned about Eqaitorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau in Group A with Nigeria.
I'd love to ask an African footy expert where Group C ranks in the toughest groups all time, because it definitely looks a nightmare for all teams.
I am just hoping we get some high scoring games and not a bunch of 1-0 wins...
@TheDeadBallTV Yeah, that would definitely be an interesting video to watch. I watch a lot of African futbol ⚽️, but I'm no expert. My mind goes to 2 groups in the highly competitive 2015 AFCON.
Group B: Tunisia 🇹🇳, DR Congo 🇨🇩, Cape Verde 🇨🇻, Zambia 🇿🇲
Group C: Ghana 🇬🇭, Algeria 🇩🇿, Senegal 🇸🇳, South Africa 🇿🇦
senegoats bouta to get back to back afcons
This would be an absolutely insane achievement if they pulled this off
Gambia dark horse Ghana biggest disappointment Senegal bicampeon
Gambia could definitely cook. Unbelievably tough pot 4 team.
