"In case you guys ever have to do anything like this"...exactly my case. Dusted off this episode to fit a fiberglass front spoiler to my '78 Champagne Edition Scirocco. Side aft portion was too long so your technique was exactly what I needed. Thank you!

✋I like watching the process, don't worry about me getting bored watching the little things and I am sure there are many others that feel this way as well.

fit is amazing, this whole build has been so cool to watch, I've binged it all in a few days and I can't wait to see all the progress to come!! it's so amazing to have so much knowledge and creativity to modify things the way you want, love it!

Chip brushes are a necessity! Problems show up when they shed. Get a large bottle of thin CA from your local hobby shop, punch holes in a box stick a bunch of brushes in the holes and squirt some CA in the brush at the Crimp band.

Dang man. that back bumper turned out pretty sweet. And ol' Ben giving you the moral support to make it all nice. haha.

Props to you for stepping back to take the time to get it right. I keep having to remind myself of this on my project, it's so tempting to rush so you see progress.
But the final paint job happens at this stage, not when the trigger is pulled.

You should invest in an Eastwood shrinker stretcher to make custom panel edges. Very easy to use and a very small learning curve. Nice lines though.

I'm really getting my head around how to make a DIY on my 911 bumpers. 👍
Looking forward to the next episode.

When you tell people you have 200 hours in a bumper and they don’t believe, show them the video!! Killer job !

Still loving the build! Just a note on pronunciation: Lauern Teile is not "Lauren Teel." If you rhyme "low" with "ow," it's more like "LOW-airn TILE-uh."

It depends what's your epoxy resin pot time. Especially those which are also suitable for casting tend to have pretty long one.
I binge watched whole series and this is my first episode watched on release. Props for persistence and good luck!
Sidenote, regarding soldering and bodywork epoxy products, I recently faced similiar choices and I went with Terosol Body Repair solution (but there are made by Sika, AkzoNobel, 3M etc.). I think it might be worth to find good professional product line and stick with it.

Sew, if I were you I'd grind the fibered bondo off, relieve the gel coat and some glass over the joint cuts and do a layup of 2-3oz cloth patches then 3or 4 layers chopped mat stranded. This will ensure no cracks on the exterior surface of the bumper after paint. Really a pisser when it does happen... 😖
