What timing! I'm building a '68 912 and was just working through how best to make my Cerakote oven. Haven't watched this video yet and sure it will have some great tips. Built my walk-in parts spray booth by hanging poly with a zipper from the garage joists. Still working on best way for the oven. Some good vids out there. Love your channel. Love older Porsche's.

Forgive my ignorance- but would the heat gun have a duty cycle? Not sure how long you have to bake items- just want to avoid having the gun stop during a cure cycle. Thanks

i like the home oven - just to ask - I got scared on your behalf being your oven is inside and surrounded in wood. I know it sounds super cheap but would building a basic bolt together outer frame out of angle iron and aluminum taping these together, so it is then collapsible and can run outside be simpler? I am also thinking about the baking and how you might not want that inside your garage or able to blow in your home. My assumption, but that stuff is not good to breathe in. I would only have to do this with a few parts on my upcoming build, but knowing I don't have to farm this out is a relief. Looking forward to the next video.

Lots of options for blasting media. I started using coal slag primarily for finishing metal bits. Now that you've got a nice setup, it's easy to switch. The Cerakote will be a gamechanger.

You really should put a piece of 1x2 on the door where you cut it in half. Should help the door close better and stop it warping.

Using air dry paint stuff with great results its really doable in garage environment. I even shot bottom of the doors in the driveway after rust repair and clear came out perfect.

I have 69’ 912. Was thinking of an ej205 swap and using Subaru gears to flip the trans. What are the benefits of the ez30r? I imagine it’s a bit heavier.

Hey Mike, you should see if you can get a dry ice blaster to you or your car to him, that process should be ideal to remove the sticky undercoating. Cheers, Lukas

White is a good color to do at home as it's pretty forgiving.. albeit a boring color but some livery can do wonders. Keep it going Mike!

Subaru EZ30R runs at high oil pressure, your best bet to reduce the oil going into the turbo, and blow by, is get a Oil Pressure Regulator and set it at 44.5-45PSI for the turbo oil feed lines if you haven't already. Common practice for us Aussies with Turbo EZ30s xD

back when I had a subaru STI, i fixed the fins in the intercooler with a pair of tweezer. it was tedius and i swore I'd never do it again. But it worked and the intercooler looked much better and I'm sure it flowed air better. I had to fix about 70% of my fins. yours doesn't look too bad so it won't be nearly as bad as what i had to deal with.

I was wondering where that adapter kit ended up. Never heard anything from Matt after I sold it to him. I know this video is 3 years ago, but RUclips just now threw this in my algorithm. I could have saved you a lot of time if I had known.
