This is going on my list of "what i will to do someday, but no plan whatsoever." Great work, you're amazing! Buy her books edit: ah thank you so much! ILY!
I'm screaming internally cause I would've needed this tutorial really badly about two weeks ago but I finished my first sword and sheeth JUST yesterday and with a bit of difficulty
When she said, "pretty easy, right?" I NEVER agreed. Omg I love your foam sword. I actually was going to make one for my 6-year-old son but decided to buy cheap foam sword after watching all the process ;) Love your work
I was literally asking for this! I was also literally making a pattern for my first project which is Hawkeye's sword from Avengers: Endgame a few minutes ago!
YAS * - * I always love watching your new videos!! I always watch them like a billion time, and yes I´m proud that you managed to bring us a new video!
Love Taki !!! Just got this particular book , i live in Canada and love the fact that you sell a PDF version !!! no need to wait for them to arrive and easy to share and exange with cosplay friends ;) Thanks a bunch :D
i love your videos Kamui! and i already bought some of your books! please take breaks and enjoy playing/RESEARCHING Monster Hunter and dont let those people bother you! you have important hunting to do!
Hee hee hee...! Funny and informative as always. Thank you, Miss S. The swords and sheatheseses look amazing. Just venturing into swords and things myself. I'll give your amazing techniques a try. And thank you too Benny! We couldn't do this without you.
Thank you for this tutorial! I'm in the middle of following this method to create a pair of elven daggers inspired by Tauriel from The Hobbit. Previously I watched your video on making a prop sword for Valkyrie and it helped me get started. Thank you for inspiring me to start creating my own props 😁❤️
Sheath /ʃiːθ/ German doesn't have the θ sound - made with the tip of your tongue against your top teeth - so it's understandable. I gave up trying to learn German a long time ago. ^_^ Danke, Svetlana und Benni!
Lol your like must game even in the shower. This will be great because I plan on cosplaying as Taki but this will be great for other swords like Dante from DMC.Thank you.
Love your videos! I have learned so much and I love working with foam you have inspired me to start my new channel Painted Imagination where I will try cosplay building and makeup transformations
Thanks for inspiration to my Warrior Princess Fiona cosplay 🤩 Need to send my long wishing list to hubby, så keep fingers crossed 🤞🏻 Best of regards from Sweden 🇸🇪
Mit Alustab in der Mitte? Dein Ernst? Die Schwerter sind wirklich super geworden, aber ich denke für LARP sind sie nicht geeignet. Stell Dir vor im Eifer des Gefechts stürzt jemand blöd und plötzlich steckt der Alustab in der Brust...nicht gut.
at this point, I'm so convinced that these are the books i ever bought and actually read everything. and guess what? BUY HER BOOKS !!!!! so she'll make more books and I get to buy it lol. CIRCLE OF COSPLAY!
Please make a room tour of your workshop! It's interesting to see how you equiped space for painting and sanding. Maybe you have some tips, about how to equip a place in a room, so I don't have dust everywhere?
I love your cosplay shows. I especially liked the one where Benny 3d printed the parts for the bow, but I was unable to get the download and the price for the plands.if ther is anyway you could send the info on how to get it, I would really appreciate it. Your biggest fan John.
Oh god the sheath! 😣 it’s one of my difficult things for my katana. Thanks to your tutorial, it works like a charm. And is it possible to show us how to make a katana sheath ? Thanks
hey Svetlana & Benni, thanks for the helpful tutorial-based content you both put out. I want to ask whether you both to make a video testing breakdown on how viable are the Rapid Fill & Fine Finish products from Prop Monkey Studio, as it was advertised that it, with the additional application of Plastidip, can create a flexible armor sheen when combined with your metal-look replicating techniques with the airbrush.
I suppose with the blades here having a metal rod in the core, it wouldn't be as much of a problem, but one thing I've fought with all the time with my foam work (and can't find a solution to where there can't be something rigid in them, like the scabbards here) is how to you heatseal and not have the foam warp out of shape in the process?
as much as i LOVE watching these. i have some questions that Maybe Svetlana could answer.(god i love her name). have you ever made a costume that uses over sized footwear? (think soras shoes from kingdom hearts, or big mega man boots) on the subject of footwear, whats your favorite sites for getting wild cosplay outfit shoes? and lastly, and this is an odd one, is there ever an event where you wanna dress up in say...an evening dress, or maybe even a "little black dress"? what would be the events and how often do you get to go? (what? i like costuming too, im just looking for some fun and fancy things to go out and do? lifes not all conventions and festivals.)
I've made foam swords and scabbards in the past and have had issues with the paint on the sword sticking to the inside of the scabbard and pulling off when I pull the sword out! Have you experienced that? and if so, how do you prevent it? If you haven't experienced it, i'm guessing that's due to your basecoat and topcoat choices...? Maybe I'll have to invest in better ones :)
@@KamuiCosplay Thank you! I tried Mod Podge but I think that's not really a true sealant... I'll have to invest in some good varnish! Thank you for your reply!
Such a helpful video! Exactly what I was looking for to help me! Does anyone know when he used kwik seal with the water, after it dried she said he "gave it another pass" does that mean another layer of kwik seal, more water, or more sanding?
EVERY SINGLE TIME I WANT TO MAKE SOMETHING, KAMUI COMES IN CLUTCH AND MAKES A TUTORIAL!! THANK YOUUUU!! 😢😢😍😍😍
That's my superpower
I very much agree with this.
At the end I was expecting you to say: "but instead of asking me where my costume is, you should buy my books". :D
I will, which book is it, and how much.
I wish I would have her level of multitasking. Playing Monster Hunter whilst showering is next level.
Român cumva?
Not too mention without getting the controller wet
This is going on my list of "what i will to do someday, but no plan whatsoever." Great work, you're amazing!

edit: ah thank you so much! ILY!
Stay strong Benny! She'll fall asleep...eventually...

This tutorial is so cool, and I'd love to see you do more weapons from the Soul Calibur series, like more of Taki’s weapons and maybe Sophitia’s too.

it's okay to laugh
we all know we wouldn't make it 3 words into any sentence in deutsch

More Kwikseal. About two to three layers because it shrinks a bit when it dries.
