I really like Simply Charlotte Mason! I'm new to home schooling, but I feel like I've learned so much just by watching the RUclips videos! Sonya's voice is so calming and I know she knows what she's talking about. I can't wait to hear more about SCM from your videos! :)
Yes...I love the warm presence that Simply Charlotte Mason brings. I would enjoy a video of you going through what you've purchased from them. Thank you!
Hi! I am a new subscriber! Thank you for sharing! I am a single Christian lady from Norway, and I don’t know way, but I really love these home schooling videos, but hauls and practical tips. Love and blessings from Johanne, Norway
Can you create, or do you have a video that explains how often you do each subject? Do you rotate subjects or do most of it every day? I tend to be someone who gets overwhelmed easily so.. Anyway, that would be helpful! The curriculumn is beautiful. I love when the new curriculumn comes in the mail! 💛
I get so excited when its time to buy all the new things :) Even more excited when they show up at the door. I can't wait to see how you use all these new things.
What a fun video! Thanks for sharing! I LOVE SCM! And yes, they are so welcoming and loving! Their customer service is great! I feel like SCM brings peace and beauty. From their approach of the Podcast and videos to the booth and hearing Sonya speak. It’s always a blessing! ❤️ you have some fantastic choices! Can’t wait to see more in your back to school week. YWAM is an absolute favorite here! We love the what they left behind pictures too. We just finished Emily Dickinson. I think I need to order the A art book for my little one. Thanks!
Ahhhh! I’m so excited right along with you! I can’t wait to hear you talk about the missionary stories. And yes please do a flip thru of your Charlotte mason stuff because I treasure their resources as well and would love a look into the goodies you purchased. Thanks for sharing! ☺️
I shopped the Charlotte Mason booth at the homeschool convention last year in FL! They are soooo nice, so welcoming, and very knowledgeable ! I kept my little post card from my online order from them too and displayed it.
Yay! Wasn't expecting this unboxing video so it feels like such a treat! 👏😂 I am so excited about TGATB as well as Master Books for our upcoming year 😁❤
We LOVE LOVE LOVE SCM!!!! Everything about them!!! Couldn’t agree more!!! Annnnd of course I LOVE LOVE LOVE you and your channel. Thank you for all the work you put in for us!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I would love to see a flip through of your SCM items!! We have four children (3 grown and 1 still in HS). We are in the process of adopting 3 foster children - all three years old and under. I have been considering the A is for Art plus other items. I have looked at their material for well over a year, but have never purchased. The two top items I am considering are the preschool ABC book and artist studies. If I could see flip throughs of other material, I would definitely consider more.
You inspired me to order some YWAM books for my 7th grade daughter to go along with our Good and the Beautiful history. I’m so excited! I could have bought them all.
So many great items. I have also loved watching and listening to the SCM videos etc. I would love to find out more about the dry brush kit etc that you have. I haven't noticed it on their website before.
I would highly recommend Susan Wise Bauer’s high school history books when you get there. They are so good and there are audio versions available so my son alternates between reading and listening. We also use Apologia for high school and do both textbooks and audio CDs for the variety. We also tried TGATB science for my younger kids but they did not like it and wanted to go back to Apologia for elementary ages. I love the YWAM books!
We are currently using the history/geography/bible set you have ordered from SCM! It is so fun. We are ALL learning so much!☺☺ The "stuff they left behind" is fun to hang up in our "museum".
I get super excited about curriculum, too! But I share about it with my homeschool besties because my hubby’s eyes glaze over. He just doesn’t get it. 😂
This is so bizarre! My oldest 4 are same age as your oldest 4, and we literally use the SAME EXACT CURRICULUM across the board?? I can’t get over it lol so weird! 💕 you have great taste 🤣
Check out notconsumed.com. They have a really neat study guide that goes with the missionary books! I just ordered it. So excited to have my middle schoolers do it.
I would LOVE to see a flip through of the Simply Charlotte Mason Curriculum you purchased! We have used their Picture, Poet, and Composer Studies so far and LOVE them!
I’d love a flip through! I just stumbled upon your channel this is my first year homeschooling. We started the good and the beautiful late in the year but I love all things paper and curriculum ❤️
I would love to see a SCM flip through! I almost choose this curriculum in the very beginning, but when they didn't have anything for "kindergarten" my new homeschooling mom brain said "that can't be right?!?" If only I knew then what I know now. Still I love curriculum flip throughs and all the like!
You are just starting but I am so excited. I love all of your curriculum videos! We are a few years behind you but i find that you line up most closely to the curriculum/ style I prefer. I can’t say I’m full on Charlotte Mason, but it’s the one I line up with most closely.
I just ordered the book you linked in a previous video about habit training/routines.😄 I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head though. I cant wait to implement it in our home!
We are doing Bob Jones next year. Their sixth grade history is ancient civilizations. I am about to order the CM The Stuff They Left Behind to go with it! Can't wait! Thanks for showing us your unboxing. For some strange reason, these are my favorite homeschooling videos.
I’m always on the fence about the Apologia and Story of the World CDs. They definitely would be helpful! Enjoyed seeing the novels for your oldest to read...I need to look for some more assigned reading books like that for next year. They are very happy to read, but their choices are more like Dogman or Captain Underpants. 😂
We're using TGTB doodle Pre-writing for my 3 year old and she's loving it! We did start it half way through the year so that's (obviously) always an option. The level 3 handwriting is working SO WELL. My girl loves the way they teach cursive. ❤ I love that you use so many different curriculum companies! It shows that you've really been intentional about what works for your family. 😁 Way to go mama! 👏👏👏
We just started with the Good and the Beautiful handwriting books; I wish I'd found them years ago! Also, my kids were watching over my shoulder and saw your Christian Heroes titles. They kept gasping in delight, so I hope that's a good indicator for the stories awaiting you 😊
We just finished SOTW vol 4, I found a free lap book online to go with it and it gave it a new flair. We also studied the states and presidents this year, I just used flash cards and read from two books, Don’t know much about the Presidents and Presidential pets books. The pets books is written in rhyme and was fun to learn about all the different pets they each owned! We read from each book and did a flash card about 2x a week. It was fun and easy. We also had a sticker states book that they did as well.
We're hoping to start Story of the World for history once we're able to get the books! Isn't it so fun when all the new curriculum arrives?! Everything fresh and new, and it's exciting to further refine the homeschool routine each year, getting a bit of a better fit as we grow!
I would love to see the size of The Stuff They Left Behind. I almost bought 2 of those this year, but ultimately didn't. I've got to see if I regret my choice! 😂😂😂
This was a blessing for me - I’d never heard of Spelling Wisdom and just googled it. My daughter really struggles with spelling and I think I will give that curriculum a try to see if it helps. Also, my youngest has been having trouble with cursive and the Handwriting curriculum from TGTB that you mentioned I looked up, and the colour coded system is perfect for reinforcing the proper way to write her letters - I downloaded it right after you mentioned it and I looked it up. Thank you!
Thank you for the flip through, I’m always excited about new curriculum and how it works. Have you done Apologia Science Anatomy with your children? I’m debating adding it for next year but I don’t know if it will be too much.
We love TGATB and used all of their stuff our first year but now that I’m getting a little bit more confident in this homeschooling adventure I am going to try Horizon Math because TGATB Math is too much for us. I was also thinking about using Beautiful Feet for History but I haven’t made a final decision. I’m interested in hearing how you use Apologia for science and would love to see a flip through! Also I’ve always wanted to do music appreciation but have no idea where to start. Thank you for the video I get so excited about unboxing new curriculums, I’m a total nerd 😂!!
Hi! Thanks for sharing all of this. I love getting new curriculum! Do you think the history heros books would be good read alouds for younger elementary aged kids? Thanks!
Avery Davis the YWAM Hero books are definitely great read aloud for any age!! We LOVE them!! ❤️ we have six kids ages 5-16. These books are a family favorite!! We read at least two books each year aloud as a family and my older kids also do a study with them independently. 😃
Love your videos and encouraging words!!! You are such a huge inspiration to us as homeschoolers and me as a single mom of 3😊. Do you use AAR and AAS? If so how do you fit them both in with multiple kids? How do you schedule it? Do you do both every day or do you split it up?
We got mind benders to try with our Kindergartener and he loves it. I'm so glad you recommend it. I would also love to see how you use Apologia for science. Thank you for sharing ❤
I use rainbow resource every year! Best deals! Are the heroes of history all Christian people? Hope that Q makes sense. That is a lot of great books! I bet you are doing the happy dance!
Also, do you only use all about reading for first grade? Or another curriculum? My daughter is going into first grade and I loved using The Good and The Beautiful but it was a little fast paced for her and looking for something else to use but she’s my only kid so buying like all about reading is a bit pricey especially since I won’t be passing it down .
Such an amazing video and I would absolutely love to see a flip through on most all of these.. and I love Charlotte Mason Curriculum...we went to the Teach them Diligently conference last year Spent a lot of time speaking with Sonya Shafer and others in her booth .. Attended her Lectures They were amazing.. And you're absolutely right it's just so comforting and it makes your heart just full And yes it is like a big hug ...so thank you for sharing and I look forward to your individual curriculums by grade Flip throughs!! Have a very blessed day!!... And I have a question for you if you wouldn't mind taking a moment to stop by my channel and give me some good tips on what I could do to enhance my videos that would be amazing.. I have the video on not consumed for my daughter for Bible which goes along with the YWAM books you purchased ! In His Grace🤍
Does Visits to Africa actually tell the truth about Africa? Meaning, they tell about the different cities and parks. Not just safaris and deserts. A lot of these publishers have no idea about the rest of Africa. And most have no idea that Egypt is in Africa. I heard that Charlotte Mason has a lot of racism in her curriculum. Are there any up to date ones?
Yes, visits to Africa tells about much more than just safaris, it’s immersive and includes cooking, culture, etc. You’ll have to give specifics on the racism claim, that’s a serious charge without specifics, and I can’t let the comment slip through without me addressing it. We’ve used SCM curriculum for years and have found nothing distasteful.
@@RootedinRest The racism claims were from other Charlotte Mason users. Since she was from the 1880's her books with ethnicities were from that time. Thanks for the reply.

Me too!!!! I have looked at their stuff for years and years... but I’m totally intimidated by all the options.
Yes...I love the warm presence that Simply Charlotte Mason brings. I would enjoy a video of you going through what you've purchased from them. Thank you!

Yaaaaaaaas! Please do a sperate CM video! ♥️♥️♥️
Feels like Christmas morning!!! I love curriculum unboxing !!!
Would love to see how you use Apologia for science, if you use their notebooks, add projects etc.
Same here ☝🏽
I’d love to see this too! ☺️
Yes! Me too
Yes, please
It is really exciting if getting the books! New homeschooler here. Starting this coming school year
I'm so excited to see all your homeschooling videos!! Totally a summer highlight for me!
I get so excited when its time to buy all the new things :) Even more excited when they show up at the door. I can't wait to see how you use all these new things.

Yes about SCM, got to hear Sonya at a conference a few years ago. She was so gentle and kind and actually gave us applications of the CM method.
We just started with the Good and the Beautiful handwriting books; I wish I'd found them years ago! Also, my kids were watching over my shoulder and saw your Christian Heroes titles. They kept gasping in delight, so I hope that's a good indicator for the stories awaiting you 😊
What convention do you usually attend? I'm also a CM homeschooler. I'd love a flip through! Thanks!

When is the new date for the convention? This was gonna be the first year I could actually go & I’m so bummed
We love TGTB Handwriting, too! I have always heard good things about Apologia science!

Really really excited to see this video! :)
We use TGTB handwriting as well. I am so happy with it!

New to your channel!! Do have a question which printer do you have? I’m starting homeschooling myself!
We got mind benders to try with our Kindergartener and he loves it. I'm so glad you recommend it. I would also love to see how you use Apologia for science. Thank you for sharing ❤
It all looks great! Haven’t tried any of the simply Charlotte mason but would love to at some point.
I use rainbow resource every year! Best deals! Are the heroes of history all Christian people? Hope that Q makes sense. That is a lot of great books! I bet you are doing the happy dance!
I just love SCM
I would love to see a breakdown per grade of what you are using, specifically with your first grader.
She said she is going to make a video for each kid.
I loooove SCM!!!
Would also love to see the apologia zoology one please
Also, do you only use all about reading for first grade? Or another curriculum? Which missionary or YWAM book would you recommend for a 1st grade read aloud?
Do you have a walkthrough video of how you do picture study?
What was the President item? Flash cards?
What’s the name of the convention
I am the same way that you are using different curriculums
