I love how the position of the 100 km/h on the speedometer is the same as the position of the 40 km/h indicator in my Honda City hahaha
Owned one myself. For a fairly cheap family car (killer bargain on second hand old models), the Honda has a great rev happy engine (7000 rpm no less) that was way too good for that old grandpa chassis - for such a sporty engine, the chassis was hopeless at corners and aided in said handling by baby shoe sized malnutritioned skinny tires that gave up long before you did. The old ones had a low dash and brought the road closer.
So it was some fun when the Vtech really kicked in at 4000 revs, felt like a turbo finally spooled up, but then it wobbled all over the place at high speeds. The engine however is so good for a family car that Honda hasn't changed it in 15 years now, just uprating it every few years for newer emissions norms. Ran forever past a decade and I only ever changed the oil..
And yeah, 40 kmph on my dashboard would be right where 100 kmph in the Chiron is. The Chiron could top my old car's vmax in 6 seconds from a standing start.

Michael David 187 is still insanely fast. Having been in cars that do 0-60 in just under 3 seconds, it’s fun every time and this is even faster. He’s not faking it
@@alecmosley9248 Mat went out of his way to mislead start to finish. From the misleading and sensational 300+ video preview image to the misleading video description to Mat's over the top reaction to experiencing 187kpm as if he was experiencing 300mph.
And look at many of the early comments. Many viewers assumed that they just witnessed Mat in a car traveling 300 miles per hour on a track, and they were awestruck by it.
Then at the end of the video Mat declared the Bugatti Chiron SS to be the fastest PRODUCTION car ever made.
He was in a prototype car, not a production car, and the existing production version of the Chiron is NOT the fastest production car.
Even a production version of the SS won't be the fastest because it will have an electronically limited top speed well below 300.
A big part of the problem is the car's 2 ton-plus weight, and how much force and heat its tires can tolerate.
In order for exotic cars to go really fast safely they're going to have to get airborne. By some means, maybe similar to what Tesla is rumored to be working on.
We are well past the limits to how fast cars can safely travel on the road. Even 187mph is too fast for public roads. There are just too many variables outside the control of car and driver that would be disastrous.
So far only planes and helicopters can travel at high speed safely. These exotic cars make no sense in real world driving.
