Nikki I have been in a similar situation the saving grace for me was the fact I set up a trail cam in the trees next to where I park up and was able to provide the police with photos of the shitbags and their car , I got all my camera gear back and the insurance company paid for the new window and they got what they deserved I hope .
I'm getting a trail cam just because of this.

Oh Nikki, you have no idea how you have made my heart sing! I lost my Dad this year and he lived outside of Phoenix. Superstition mountain was his playground when he was a kid and we climbed it for his 80th birthday. We will be spreading some of his ashes there. His birthday was just last month, October 30th. My heat goes out to you Margie! I’m a dr, lost my father to lymphoma in 2002. Not a day goes by that I still don’t miss him. My mom is still with me at age 95 , still driving! Parents are your one unconditional source of love , so life never is the same after that loss. But you have great memories by your statement. Best wishes , and thx for sharing as it gave me a chance to remember dad and his great influence on me , still felt at age 64!

I just recently watched a video on how to prevent thieves from stealing your stuff while camping. The two good tips I took away from that video were to use these magnetic motion detector lights on your vehicle and motion detector alarms. This would be a good idea for those times when you are on a hike and you are leaving your car with the bike on the back and also your car luggage rack. A small investment to make to protect yourself from thieves. Also you car insurance should cover your loss. Happy camping.
If your bike is always exposed on the bike rack like that, I recommend you get a cable lock. They come in various sizes, usually about 4 ft. long, with a keyed lock on the end. That should be long enough to secure the frame and both wheels to the rack. And start parking backwards everywhere. Love your channel.
That's the best way to live. No worries, without boundaries and borders. Living wild and free. You're awesome Nikki 🙏☺️

Rear wheels are more expensive than the front. If you only have one lock I'd recommend locking up the rear to the bike instead of the front

Add a cable to run through both tires, seat etc, and lock it to a strong point on the rack or car.

I’ve been a driver for UPS for 32 years this June. We don’t sell our outta service rigs…..ever ever. It’s for insurance purposes and brand protection. You bought something that might have been a delivery vehicle….but it wasn’t an ups vehicle.
And btw…we don’t call em trucks….they’re cars. Even the biggest delivery vehicles….they are still called cars. Only exception? Semis. Those are indeed called trucks. 👍

Be careful out there! My friend was robbed of his camper and vehicle by gunpoint in AZ. Also, people were trying to get into my car while I'm in it at night in CA. Glad it was just a tire for you!
just have to pull out a bigger gun........They wont actually use theres but i definitely will use mine lol if they shoot they go to jail so they just use it as a scare tactic........Me actuallly using mine would be in self defense. So no hesitation on my end.

Ack! So very sorry that happened here in our beautiful state! On the brighter side, looks like you managed to hit quite a variety of trails around the Valley. North Mountain is awesome, as is Piestewa Peak and Camelback...one of the great perks of living here, sunshine and mountain trails galore 😁 Safe travels heading up north, it's beautiful this time of year in Sedona and Flagstaff!
I spent a lil time in Apache junction by the mystic mountains in my early youth . There was a lot of breathtaking mother nature built scenery to inhale . Definitely an experience worth having .

It's not so much WHAT'S been stolen. Although it does sucks, it can be replaced.......It's the horrible feeling knowing somebody has been around your personal belongings with their filthy hands, It's a real invasion of your privacy and so personal!!!

I moved to Phonix and purchased 10 houses with Ibuyer. I love this place.
As a rather frequent Walmart camper I've woken up to cops, street sweepers, carts being pushed into my van and even a homeless guy taking a #2. Why can't I wake up, open the sliding door on the van and see "People of Walmart" Nikki rocking black socks, sandals and a tie dye cutoff? =)
@Anonymous Person Maybe slightly. but they're only doing their jobs. I've been asked to leave Walmart stores a few times by both security guards and police. I travel in Florida during the Winter and most Walmart stores there don't allow overnight parking anymore. If there's no other good option I'll try to stay unnoticed, but in a huge white van that doesn't always work out.
Love the videos Nikki, keep it up. I have a mini van and drive all over. I deliver pets and small items I can fit in my van for Uship so it's a way to make money while I am traveling . Love this life.

You've made a carrot Chomper out of me. Stealing is the main reason I avoid the cities. I only go there when I absolutely have to. I spent a few weeks in Tucson last part of June and early July. (Skoolie needed a radiator) I made it a point to sleep on the outskirts of town. I'm hoping you got your bicycle back together by now? Mine means a lot to me. I'm 60 and disabled. It's a fluid motion, so it's the only form of exercise I have left that doesn't leave me in worse shape than when I started. Safe travels and happy holidays 🚌💨

Hi Nikki, being a body builder and a songwriter, those are the things I mostly look for to watch on youtube, however your video showed up on my page just today and when I saw "Got Robbed" in your thumbnail, I felt bad and said to myself "I better watch this one". I feel bad that you got robbed but I'm glad I watched your video. You're such a cool person and funny too. I also liked when you ran to the top of that hill with your dog and the sign said "Paws Up. Seems to happen to the good folks and you didn't deserve that. That sucks. One solution to the theft problem: Find an old mountain bike in good mechanical condition for a small fraction of what a new bike costs. Less desirable to thieves. Much easier to replace. Durable, reliable, vintage, simple to work on and maintain, fun to ride.
Easy to keep inside a vehicle, especially after removing front wheel. You can cover with a blanket so thieves can't see it.
And then stay out of high-crime areas.
Thats a gnarly trail into the Superstitions. I hiked that same trail up through the canyon wash and up to the top of the flatiron. I lived in Phoenix for 2 years, and hiked Squaw Peak all the time.

We need more videos on the dangers of living in your car. Three years ago, my 18 year old daughter quit college and her job to adventure around the USA and paying the bills with a RUclips channel because so many channels make it look so AMAZING.... She made enough money to pay for gas, food and to do some cool things. She never shared the heartaches and horrors because she was embarrassed. I wish more people talked about how to be safe. My daughter is now a survivor of some of the worst horrors a woman can experience, she is destroyed, penniless and is home starting her recovery. Glad you have a dog!

Be careful, rattlesnakes in them their hills. Especially with a dog.
Be sure to change the oil and oil filter regularly. Every 5,000 miles. Keep track of it!
And rotate the tires every 5,000 miles too.
