Digimon definitely has some weird evolution lines. Perfect example is falcomon. He's a falcon who becomes an ostrich, which turns into a crow, that becomes a raven themed human.
They're computer programs. They don't need to stick to conventional evolution. It's why Digimon can have multiple evolution trees.
An imp can become a cat which becomes a trap goddess which can become...a large buff angel man, a large buff angel woman, a chubby bunny, a...dragon of the apocalypse...

Honestly that chef joke got me to think through it for quite some time.
And this is just my opinion, male chefs fall into a more competitive and even combative nature to rise to the top, while female chefs go for a more consistent and stable/creative methods in food preparation. Also I prefer food channels with female chefs/cooks coz of all the nice tips, trick and options they give out for recipes.
