Hey Ashley, I've followed the journey over on TikTok, I'm glad you made the jump to RUclips, I am a huge fan of long form content (ironic given that I found you on TikTok) so this style of content is much more appealing to me. I know that many others before me will have said this and I'm sure I won't be the last, but I just wanted to share my gratitude with you for what you are trying to do here. To dedicate your time to such a selfless project (I know you'll make use of the space once it's done, so not entirely selfless I guess) is very admirable. Not only are you doing a great thing for the local community, but the wider skate community to inspire others to get out and do the same, no matter how small. I'm not a skater, so can't fully appreciate what you're doing, but I appreciate your efforts to breathe life back into a space that was clearly missing those who used to enjoy it. Thank you.
wow, what an awesome project. not enough people invest in their communities the way you're doing in this series. ive seen a lot of your content crossposted from tiktok to reels, and i was really excited, as someone who doesn't use tiktok, to find out you were bringing the series to youtube as well. excited to see where this goes. also honestly a little sad to see that graff go on the bowl -- obviously necessary for cleanup, but the color design was so nice. maybe after the restoration is finished you could collab with a tiktok artist or commission someone from the area to do a tag design.

used to be a skatepark in mowbray park in Sunderland that was much worse than this. it had a metal quarter that was 5ft high x 2.5ft wide, 10ft long round grind rail that was only 20cm off the ground and a metal box ramp with grind rail that was so slippy we had to poor cola over it to get some grip
really weird parks like this always make me want to know their history, who designed it? Was it even designed, who signed off on it, and who used it when it was new?
