Snow White has not been helped by Rachel Zegler's previous comments, but Gal Gadot and Peter Dinklage deserve some blame. WIth the recent release by Disney of the Snow White official trailer, the CGI dwarves have drawn the most criticism while showing red flags for both Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot. Despite numerous reshoots giving rumours to a changed story more like the original tail, this trailer contradicts it. With just a second of the Prince on screen, an opinionated Rachel Zegler and CGI characters that look like hellspawn nightmares. This story will be one of empowerment, that rather than being talked about decades later, will simply be laughed at. But what did you think of what you saw? She went to an all girls high school (girls being mean to each other at school, not sure that really counts) then lived a protected life within the performing arts and film world, shes only 23, so where was this exposure to the horrors of life where women are torn down as a matter of course?

I think she's banking on people separating the art from the artist (though in her case, I use those terms very loosely), but that fails because the Snow White in the remake is basically her self-insert.
Also, given that she's GenZ (my generation), there's a chance that she doesn't even know the concept of separating the art from the artist, so she legitimately might not be aware of why people don't like her and the remake by proxy (other than how much people are just tired of the remakes).

Portrayed as an unnaturally skinny woman with one large eye in the middle of her forehead, she brings misfortune and calamity. She can not be appeased or defended against - you just have to wait out your punishment, and you may live through it.

It's not even that Zegler is insufferable but all of the acting looks absolutely dreadful. None of the facial expressions are genuine and everybody moves like they're puppets. Add on top of that the irony of Zegler saying people need some kindness and the uncanny valley CGI dwarves and you've got the makings of a terrible movie regardless of the woke BS.
Their biggest mistake was hiring Rachel and their second biggest was not using actual dwarves. What the f*** is wrong with these people.

I've liked every version of Snow White I've ever seen. I wasn't crazy about Snow White and the Huntsman, but at least Kristen Stewart didn't make her Snow White unlikable and that movie gave jobs to seven dwarf actors.
Its sad that Snow White is what made Disney the powerhouse that it was, and now they're going to use the same character to put another nail in their coffin.
Sadly, Rachel is so ignorant she doesn't see that the change in "fairest one of all" is a huge insult to her.
whats even sadder is that she would actually qualify for the title if she had a single gentle bone in that body. but instead that body is filled with spitfire, hate, and malignant acid dripping from that unusually unsightly entitled narcissistic personality of hers.
i also feel bad for the art department.......they had to figure out how to forcefully fit and glowup rachel to look the part when all that rachel had to do was have a natural smile instead of that distasteful grimace that is permanently glued to her chin.

The story wasn’t about finding true love. It was about the disposition of woman as they age and how they try to tear each other down. But in the end the kind virtuous gal wins AND finds love. The love aspect was an addition and also shows how much the prince cared. He kept on searching despite the kingdom at that point, giving up the search. He cared about her so much, he did not give up hope. He was heartbroken when his worse fears seem to come true and he found her “dead”. The movie is a legend because it embodied the best aspects of both men and woman. Dated my ass. It’s more relevant and important in today’s age. Narccism leaves you alone, hated, and in many cases dead

So they replace animation with live action cgi that looks even worse. The charm of animation is completely missing in these remakes. That and all the modern messaging
It's like Disney is trying to lose money. All they had to do is hire a likeable cast, and put some some young Christopher Nolan type director in charge, who can shoot the original story, avoiding CGI as much as possible, and it's a guaranteed money printing machine.
But, you know, they just gotta subvert all of those evil g3nd3r stereotypes.

My biggest takeaway from the trailer is that Gal makes me want to cosplay the Evil Queen. The cartoon version, though-I’m not trying to invite comparisons to Ms. Gadot! That will not be in my favor 😂 I have other take-aways, but that’s the positive one!
