Thanks for the great informative video. I am replacing Temperature Sensor in Corolla 2009 just for preventative maintenance. The new sensor is coming with coper gasket. Could you advise if any sealant (like Permatex anti seize) should be applied to the Sensor's thread. I will appreciate your advice.
Hi there, I usually don't put any and I haven't had any issues. If the sensor is easily accessible just clean the mating surface between the cylinder head and the copper gasket and that should do it.
Thanks for the video but l have a Ford Everest 2013 3 litre engine it does not show engine light and Glow plugs lights on the dashboard,can you tell me what is the problem.l change the coolant sensor but it is still doing the same
That can definitely happen with a bad coolant temp sensor. But since the check engine light was triggered, the easiest way to diagnose it is to scan the fault codes and you will know with certainty whether it's the coolant temp sensor or something else.
