Hello Pastor Tiff! I was once in trouble with my health. I could not get up from the floor. My dad tried to lift me but could not. I had to get a blood test. I had to go before they closed on Friday. My doctor was waiting. I told my dad we have to start praying OUT LOUD! We both did, he was praying OH Lord, please help us! I was praying to Jesus out loud. I had strong faith at that moment.. 15 seconds later.. a warmth came across my feet and moved up my legs to my hips and I stood right up! God does listen! I also prayed to God, what is it do you want me to know.. the next day, the next 2 days, I got my answer. 3 youtube videos I felt compelled to watch. 3 videos in 2 days, 3 different ministers and times, the message was the same.. What does God want us to know? The answer was he wants us to be ALL IN FOR HIM! Christians that show up 4 times a month on a sunday I am not sure if that is enough. I pray every day and try to make time to watch videos such as Pastor Tiff and other GOOD ministers. I agree with you about halloween. Its a wicked holiday and we should not celebrate it. I DID in the past. But always wondered about it. Can you see being in heaven, going to a place where there were jack o lanterns, witches etc all the time? in hell maybe but not in heaven. I've seen this happening to but I've had pastors and others tell me their self well the Bible says do not in other words respect one day over another or something like that even Easter they say is a pagan holiday so they're all pagan holidays but they celebrate them anyway well that goes to tell me if it's a pagan holiday I don't really want nothing to do with them just like for Easter when it rolls around I always think of Jesus Christ before thinking of an Easter Bunny or something that's just what they've been telling the children all their lives just like Christmas is the birth of Jesus to me and Halloween I do not like to celebrate it I know I participated when I was a child and have when my children were younger but not as much now well I don't know all like knowledge is fall in the harvest

Honestly, no true Christian should ever have to ask this question. Those who profess to love Christ already know the answer in their spirit. They just don’t want to give up this unholy event and are looking for others to support and condone their participation.
This resonates with me. When I was recently born again, I lost the desire to celebrate Halloween. I know the Lord was speaking to me and I listened intently.
I guess it was in the early 2000’s Paul Washer made it known to my husband and I the origins of Halloween. My husband and I decided then and there not to participate in any Halloween activities. Many Christian friends of mine have the attitude that “it’s just in fun” I just cannot look my Savior who shed his blood for me in the eye and say to him “it’s just in fun” as he sees me participating in evil practices. What a smack in the face. That is just my feeling. I’m not condemning others. I just look at it in the way that GOD hasn’t brought them to that point in their walk with him yet.

My dad was a minister, we did Halloween when I was under 10. Then he finally understood, we never celebrated again after age 10. The church then would have a get together for the kids, Bible stories, games, candy and just fun. Didn’t dress up, and did not decorate for Halloween. The kids always had fun along with the adults. Never missed going door to door trick or treating.

My pastors do not understand. My friend who was high up in the Church was asked to stand down because she took a stand as she did not want to be a part of that night. My father was a deacon in a Baptist Church and I have always thought Halloween was not proper but I did like getting the candy. I feel all Christians and churches should stop having trunk or treat, too. Praise the Lord 🙏🙏🙏
No where in the Bible does it say Halloween is Satan's holy day, nor did Jesus say that celebrating Halloween means we're a part of this world. Just because your "feelings" are that it's Satan's holy day doesn't mean it is. Its not. There is no such thing as satans holy day. Satan doesn't have a holy day or a birthday. But handing out the candy IS participating…. You got the candy to give to the kids on that day. I do believe churches want to not seem legalistic and unkind so they have a Trunk or Treat event. Kids still wear costumes. It probably takes a bit of bravery to announce “ no Halloween celebrations this year”
Exactly! People may say you’re boring or whatever, but if you are participating for example in this holiday, then you’re pretty much saying that Halloween is OK and for me or holidays are pagan holidays and I don’t celebrate them so! Not like I use to anyway…

Brothers and sisters, I disagree with pastor when he said around min 35 that it’s ok to hand out candy to children if they come knock at your door on Halloween. IT IS NOT OK! You are indeed participating in Halloween even if you only hand out candy to a kids. Don’t dress up, don’t hand out candy, don’t decorate or put anything outside your house that will signal to others that you are participating in Halloween. If kids come at your door, just don’t open it. Fast, pray on this month.

All *professing* Christians - no. All *genuine* Christians - yes. The key is to see your sin in it's true light, have genuine contrition (sorrow) for your sin, then TURN from it (repent). We tend to see others' sin as exceedingly sinful, but trivialize our own sins. For example, someone I know shows great condemnation towards homosexuality, yet he himself is living with a woman he isn't married to. He doesn't realize that he's currently in the same boat as homosexuals when he stands before God. Trivializing our sin keeps us from feeling genuine sorrow for our sins, and thus genuine repentance. It leads us to trust in our own righteousness - which scripture says we have none of. We must realize that we are all wicked sinners in DESPERATE need of a Savior. Matthew 7 22 & 23 "....on that day many will say to me, 'did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.'" In that verse, Jesus was speaking of people who point to their own goodness/works on judgement day. We ALL fall short and must transfer our trust from ourselves to the Savior. We need to be clothed in His righteousness, so that God doesn't look at us on Judgement Day, but instead looks at the perfect life that Christ lived. Please, please check out Ray Comfort on RUclips. His channel is called Living Waters. His channel is so helpful because, like Tiff, he is extremely knowledgeable of the Bible, but his videos are mostly of him out on the streets witnessing to people, which is really helpful because they tend to ask questions that most ppl have, and you can hear a highly knowledgeable Christian answer those questions. He has the best analogies I've ever heard, and presents the law and the gospel in a way that a little child could understand.
This friend of mine wants me to take her son who is 14 years old to go to a Halloween trick or treat. I don't want to go I promised my friend I would go. So it is a friends gathering and they don't see each other all the time. I want to cancel just knowing if I cancel my friend will get upset with me. Halloween gave me the creep out, I was born and raised in NYC and the thought of knocking on peoples door at night never sat right with me. (c. the 90s) Then there was the news report about people spiking the candy with drugs.
Many Christians think it’s cute for the children and grandchildren to dress up as long as they’re not wearing spooky costumes and take them to safe neighborhoods,friends homes, even church events on October 31. I am personally against it and am seen as being overly critical by my estranged Christian family members. 💔💔

i grew up participating Halloween your teaching was never mentioned in The Episcapal Church
also our school class also went to Salem Mass ( the witch trials)
also could you do a teaching on demonic games as well as books ( Harry Potter)

My dad was a minister, we did Halloween when I was under 10. Then he finally understood, we never celebrated again after age 10. The church then would have a get together for the kids, Bible stories, games, candy and just fun. Didn’t dress up, and did not decorate for Halloween. The kids always had fun along with the adults. Never missed going door to door trick or treating.

Thank you Tiff. The Q I am asking is the Church I go to celebrates Hallelujah night with kids dressing up in costumes and it's a game night and candy. I have brought my children up not to enter in . My pastors do not understand. My friend who was high up in the Church was asked to stand down because she took a stand as she did not want to be a part of that night. I love my pastors and I am praying for them. I study with you every morning with you. Thank you❤

My father was a deacon in a Baptist Church and I have always thought Halloween was not proper but I did like getting the candy. I feel all Christians and churches should stop having trunk or treat, too. Praise the Lord 🙏🙏🙏

No where in the Bible does it say Halloween is Satan's holy day, nor did Jesus say that celebrating Halloween means we're a part of this world. Just because your "feelings" are that it's Satan's holy day doesn't mean it is. Its not. There is no such thing as satans holy day. Satan doesn't have a holy day or a birthday. Hes just an idiot who got kicked out of heaven with a third of the angels because he was jealous of Gods power. If you don't celebrate Halloween, that's your personal choice but the rest of us are not Satanic or evil just because we do.

When I was little our church had Easter egg hunts.
I was always taught not to talk to the dead..
But handing out the candy IS participating…. You got the candy to give to the kids on that day. I do believe churches want to not seem legalistic and unkind so they have a Trunk or Treat event. Kids still wear costumes. It probably takes a bit of bravery to announce “ no Halloween celebrations this year”
Exactly! People may say you’re boring or whatever, but if you are participating for example in this holiday, then you’re pretty much saying that Halloween is OK and for me or holidays are pagan holidays and I don’t celebrate them so! Not like I use to anyway…
our church had a Harvest party with costumes, but no evil costumes were allowed, plenty of food, candy and games, was fun.

Brothers and sisters, I disagree with pastor when he said around min 35 that it’s ok to hand out candy to children if they come knock at your door on Halloween. IT IS NOT OK! You are indeed participating in Halloween even if you only hand out candy to a kids. Don’t dress up, don’t hand out candy, don’t decorate or put anything outside your house that will signal to others that you are participating in Halloween. If kids come at your door, just don’t open it. Fast, pray on this month.

I never celebrate Halloween
Thank you so much Evangelist Shuttlesworth. You are one of the most trusted voices in my life when it comes to bible study. However there's a question that's been haunting me for a long time now which is, *Are all Christians going to heaven?*
All *professing* Christians - no. All *genuine* Christians - yes.
The key is to see your sin in it's true light, have genuine contrition (sorrow) for your sin, then TURN from it (repent). We tend to see others' sin as exceedingly sinful, but trivialize our own sins. For example, someone I know shows great condemnation towards homosexuality, yet he himself is living with a woman he isn't married to. He doesn't realize that he's currently in the same boat as homosexuals when he stands before God.
Trivializing our sin keeps us from feeling genuine sorrow for our sins, and thus genuine repentance. It leads us to trust in our own righteousness - which scripture says we have none of. We must realize that we are all wicked sinners in DESPERATE need of a Savior.
Matthew 7 22 & 23
"....on that day many will say to me, 'did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.'"
In that verse, Jesus was speaking of people who point to their own goodness/works on judgement day. We ALL fall short and must transfer our trust from ourselves to the Savior. We need to be clothed in His righteousness, so that God doesn't look at us on Judgement Day, but instead looks at the perfect life that Christ lived.
Please, please check out Ray Comfort on RUclips. His channel is called Living Waters. His channel is so helpful because, like Tiff, he is extremely knowledgeable of the Bible, but his videos are mostly of him out on the streets witnessing to people, which is really helpful because they tend to ask questions that most ppl have, and you can hear a highly knowledgeable Christian answer those questions. He has the best analogies I've ever heard, and presents the law and the gospel in a way that a little child could understand.

Halloween gave me the creep out, I was born and raised in NYC and the thought of knocking on peoples door at night never sat right with me. (c. the 90s) Then there was the news report about people spiking the candy with drugs.

Many Christians think it’s cute for the children and grandchildren to dress up as long as they’re not wearing spooky costumes and take them to safe neighborhoods,friends homes, even church events on October 31. I am personally against it and am seen as being overly critical by my estranged Christian family members. 💔💔
