Great meeting you up there at camp, plus being part of your video. Me and my wife just watched this and she was shocked to see the climb we’ve been to. Awesome ski action down the gulch. 👍
Nice trip and video. Heh.. ate at the Black bear after skiing from top via avie gulch as well. We skied back through the red bands. I need to drop in above as you did. More fall line skiing.
@@HikingNerd Thank you! I bailed on April 2nd because the wind was too strong. Can I ask what is the strongest wind speed in which you would consider summiting? The weather report changed and now it looks like 25mph on the summit.
Few people climb Shasta that late in the year but those who do would go via Clear Creek (not Avalanche Gulch which would be full of scree and rockfall). As long as you pick a non-glaciated route, you’ll likely encounter little snow and a rope won’t be of any use.
Those snow conditions looked brutal. Hats off to your determination.

Good sharing the mountain with you. We had great snow and weather for our summit!
Well done sir!
Likewise, good work on the mountain!
Nice to meet you. Glad you finally got to ski the mountain.
Nice meeting you too, and congrats on the summit!

Thanks for the conditions update, planning my third summit attempt for Monday-Tuesday (23-24th). Looks like a good weather opening.
Good luck! Hope the weather is favorable

Welcome!
Bad-ass, bro-ski. 🤩😎

What would the conditions be to climb Mt Shasta in the first week of August? Do you need to be a rope party, or can I solo climb it?
