Getting my front tires shaved at Weaver Brake & Tire in Marietta Ga. Bought wheels and tires used and previous owner must have had a wrecked suspension and/or alignment.
Seems like this is the best way to do it, right after mounting and after balance with force match(so you'd know it was in tire and not the rim) and before it picked up the little stones that would need to be picked out.
Have this done many times, is like riding on a cloud, look for old school tire shops, or truck repair shops, no Tires plus or any of the big chains do this.
They are all out some, and never seen a perfect bare rim either, every now and then you'll randomly find a. 000 but you're odds are probably better on a slot machine.
As Cameron mentioned, tires from the manufacturers are not true. They are close but not 100%. There are many benefits to trueing a tire like better heat dissipation for performance and longevity.

If your tire is out of round, its no good to begin with is it??

I've never had one that needed to be 'shaved down'..been driving since the 60's..
...I think we've all heard them going down the road, is it a flat dualy, or is it tires that could use a shave...
