I have a Glycerin 20 and I have put about 400 miles on the shoe. It still feels about the same as I first bought it. For me, this is part of my rotation. I use it for my easy runs. The shoe is very comfortable and very durable. I rotate this shoe with the Endorphin Speed and the Novablast. I have bought all three shoes when they went on sale. All three together cost about $300 total. This is not a bad investment considering the amount of miles I will get with these three shoes. Merry Christmas y’all.
I got the Ghost Max 2 earlier in the year. I enjoyed the comfort, style, and it felt like i was gliding at times. However, I bought them in late February, and these shoes only lasted six months. The foam melted from the bottom and even developed some holes in the soles. The foam fell apart. I should have asked for a refund, but they were comfortable but i feel that the same will happen to these.
For me, this shoe is becoming lost in the current market. There’s a been a clear distinction between the daily shoe market, up tempo, super trainer, max cushion etc. this is trying to still be a all round work horse, and for £165 I really expect a bit more “character”.
Would you say it’s still got quite a shallow profile? I’ve got some old Glycerin 18’s and with my high arch it made top of my foot numb due to lacing pressing on top of foot. Once I missed some eyelets out it was fine but annoying.
Ummm. Was probably hoping the new foam would differentiate it more from the 21. Seems to be a bit stuck now having increased in weight with the same foam but less of it than in the Max. Not sure Brooks have got their range quite right at the moment. With mid stack heights you can get a lot of good shoes now with less weight and a bit more going on in the price range. Independents might struggle to move this. Well made and comfy but that’s about it.
When the glycerin max and Hyperion max 2 were launched it looked like brooks were finally making some great shoes, these seem like just another boring brooks shoe, brooks back to being brooks 😢

Could you please do a comparison between ASICS Gel Nimbus 27 and the Glycerin 22. I would be really interested in the result. 😎🎄🎄🎄
Happy Christmas 🎄 🎅 👟👍
The Ghost 17 will be a banger!!!
Very interested in this shoe.

Brooks seems to be aimed at the beginner or heavier runner who won't get the benefit of some carbon plated super trainer

Looks like a solid easy day shoe but nothing stands out especially at that weight.

I am not aware of any shoes on version 20+ that could be described as exciting, all shoe companies seem to be treat these models as cash cows.
Glycerin downgraded as being my walking shoe ti be fair...
