An amazing concert by vidhushi amritha murali👍 Excellent voice culture, neat sruthi alignment, admirable selection of kritis, clarity of diction are the features of the vidushi 👏 Starting with a lively asAvEri (rArA mAyinti dAka - a prahlAda bhakti vijayam kriti of the saint) followed with a beautiful poorvikalyAni (deva deva jagadeeswra by SwatinTirunal) she gave us khamas (sripatimiha nandagOpa by Narayana thirthar); a soulful Ahiri followed (mAymma yaninE - wherein syaama sastry pleads to meenakshi thAyAr) and then a less heard raga, UmAbharanam (nija marmamulanu) followed by the main - a 'kingly' karaharapriya (nadachi nadachi by tyagaraja). Then a valaji (pAdamE thunai by Papanasam Sivan ) an abhang in Sindhubhairavi and she wound up with suruti (sree venkatagireesam AlokayE - by dikshitar on Pulivalam venkatachalapati temple near Tiruvarur) . The violin support by maestro vidwan RK Sriramkumar was superlative 👍 and the percussion support by Vidwan B.Ganaptyraman & Dr Karthik was just too good. Their tani was out of the world.👍 All in all, an outstanding concert. Thanks due to the sponsors & Nada Inbam 🙏

Great singing, amazing vidwath, hats off. But can’t stand treating Tamil as an end piece. Better treatment of Tamil kruthis are warranted. Alapana with swarams. Please start doing.
