Keisha and her grandmother was very good actors. I really enjoyed watching their characters act. GH writers really didn't know what jewels they had in these two women.
he dosent remember his relationship with K Keesha so he cant feel what he dosent know or remember. He dosent remember Robin but they are staring fresh , no living in the past just fresh and take it from there
SDob. Look at it from this perspective. If Jason had lost his legs in that accident, no one would have been impatient with him for not being able to walk immediately. They would have expected that it would take time for him to heal, to learn to use artificial limbs and to become proficient in walking. Well he literally lost part of his brain functions. Neural pathways were destroyed and he had to learn to use new ones wherever it was possible. Where it was not, he simply lost that function. Like the ability to “flatten out” what he saw and draw it on paper. And he had a personality shift. In a way, you could say he lost himself. He literally had no connection, even subconsciously to his old self.He came to genuinely believe it would be better for everyone if he just left. Think how alone he must have felt to believe that. He had memory loss. He knew absolutely no one. Everyone he met was a stranger including his family and his girlfriend, Keisha. He did not remember loving them or being loved by them. He was overwhelmed by their constant pleas for him to remember and love them. Because he couldn’t return their feelings, he felt like he let them down. The more they showed their impatience and disappointment, the more frustrated he became. He came to believe that they hated him because he was not their golden boy. He became more and more alienated. Another result of his brain damage was a lack of control over his emotions and behavior. Just as the boy who lost his legs, had to learn to walk all over again, so Jason had to relearn control over emotions and behavior, that most people had spent a lifetime learning. And he had to do that while suffering from a very real physical impairment. He had to learn the rules of behavior and the rules of society, again something that everyone else had spent their lifetimes learning. But Jason was expected to already know how to act. As Edward remarked after one incident when Ned called him on his impatience, “he’s known the rules of good behavior since he was a child.” But he did not remember anything from when he was a child. As far as Keisha was concerned, I felt sorry for her losing the boy she loved, but found her behavior toward Jason terrible. She made everything about herself, about what she had lost. She did not seem to have any concept of what Jason was experiencing or feeling. When she tried to be cheerful and supportive, she just came across as foolish. She used references to people, places, and events that Jason did not recognize. When he answered truthfully about not knowing what she was talking about or who she was, she became hysterical. When she told him about her house burning down he answered awkwardly because, again, he did not know who or what she was talking about, she blew up in anger, screaming insults at him. She showed no compassion or understanding for what he was going through, while expecting sympathy from him. Seriously, under the circumstances, which one of them should have been understanding? Perhaps explaining in a quiet, patient voice what had happened and the connection to both of them, instead of screaming in a strident voice. The behavior from Jason that disturbed me the most was when Keisha approached him and talked about their future and then kissed him. He took his response way to far, frightening her. Did he really not know enough about sex to realize that his behavior was out of line, or was he doing that to make her leave him alone. It was obvious by that time that he no longer loved her. Because Jason’s physical abilities , and his speech and communication skills were unimpaired, many people did not realize that other cognitive functions were impaired. People just saw his behavior as petty or cruel, instead of what it was. The inability to recognize the correct response for a given situation. Remember later on Jason became very helpful, understanding and compassionate. That was why so many people loved him in spite of what he did for a living.7
Your explanations were spot on. Think about the person that has lost their memory, not in the soap world. The husband or wife that does not know the other, their kids, their family and friends. For Jason Q/M it was a storyline, for somebody it may be a reality. You have to learn the person they are and stop throwing up in their face the person they was. You have those memories, they have nothing. I felt bad for the Q's and Keisha, but the writers wrote them coming at Jason M. from the aspect of what they lost. Sonny, Brenda and Robin accepted Jason M. for who he was after the accident. Robin and Brenda's memories of Jason Q they kept to themselves and when they did mention Jason Q to Jason M, it was in a light and unthreatening way.
I hated how horrible Jason was to Keesha. She didn't deserve that. He was such a monster with no feelings, but with Robin he was sweet? Ridiculous! Horrible writing
From my perspective, Robin wasn’t trying to make Jason who he used to be, make him remember his old life. Jason’s pretty straightforward, and brutally honest, which Robin appreciates. They’re like strangers to each other in a way. Keesha, like his family seemed to push “Jason Quartermaine” on him, not really understanding him, not listening to him. And when he doesn’t give them what they want from him, they become cold and mean.
Think about would you be a little grumpy if you woke up out of a coma losing the last sixteen years of your life and people constantly trying to push you to be who you once were even though you did remember. Plus Jason suffered a traumatic brain injury, One of the things he lost was being able to control certain emotions. Robin help him relearn how to express what he was feeling but in a different way
I agree. Having a brain injury doesn't mean you have to be rude..he was so mean and cold towards her. I really don't like the way the writers made him treat her after his accident.
Jason always defied the odds it was cold outside and he wore a t-shirt I remember he went walking in the rain in february that year took off his jacket and walked in a t-shirt...how is it possible? Does anybody have that episode?
I couldn't stand Keisha in this scene. She should realize that he doesn't remember any of that. Then she jumps on him when he tells her that he can't remember. She didn't understand any better than anybody else that he lost his memory and doesn't remember his past.
Smh... Daytime dramas. The last place where black characters are allowed to be equal to their non black counterparts. Senait Ashenafi was a 30 year old actress able to draw upon life experience as a young woman. Nah, screw that. Let's make Jason hate Keesha and make his love interest a character portrayed by an 18 year old actress who has zero adult life experience. Then a few minutes later, Carly comes into town and makes Keesha third in line when she was the FIRST of the three.
Keisha actually had to leave GH to take care of her grandfather if I remember correctly. I don't think it had to do with race, more of a personal family choice and decision. Not downgrading your comment, just what I remember from the original airings. Also, after what Robin went through with Stone, she probably had more life experience and maturity than a 30 year old. IMO age don't show that your mature or give you more life experiences than someone younger.
Look at these sweet young faces. 25 flipping years... still so sweet ❤
Bahaha, “I’m hoping I hit my head and turn into a nice guy that everyone likes.” Jason really is a smartass and I love it! 🤣
I've been watching GH for 45years now and I remember everything! 2023 GH needs to bring Jason back with his memories before the accident
Keisha!! Oh man, I totally forgot about her and Jason Q! 💔 My heart broke for her after his accident but I love Jason M and Robin ❤
J&R man loved them and still do.
Steve Burton you look very Good my Dear Steven 💖💖💖😍
I love Jason. Straight up talk lol lol lol
I've been watching GH for 45years now and I remember everything this episode was when Jason turned into Stone its like Stone spirit jump inside Jason
Keisha and her grandmother was very good actors. I really enjoyed watching their characters act. GH writers really didn't know what jewels they had in these two women.
Jason cares more about Robin being upset than Keesha
Cavs AreTrash he was hateful and there was no need in it
he dosent remember his relationship with K Keesha so he cant feel what he dosent know or remember. He dosent remember Robin but they are staring fresh , no living in the past just fresh and take it from there
he was racist at first but they never had the guts to say it
@@HelloooThere oh please

Robin was beautiful

Jason was so funny back then. What happened? He is never happy or having fun. Preferred him with Robin then boring Sam.
That's a nice bike. Jason was mean 2 her.
so
Sonnys dad, whatever happened to him!
He went to rehab for gambling and never came back
He's back now and played by a new actor. The character has Alzheimer's.
He won an Emmy for best supporting actor for the Alzheimer’s storyline.
Justa Agirle He is played by Max Gail from The Barney Miller Show.
He was sent to the spin off Port Charles and vanished when it did. This actor retired so they recast and brought him back for an Alzheimers story.
Jason looks nothing like stone

Keisha and MaryMay were sooooooo boring. Justice was pretty awesome though.
