@@SaimaavlogsDid you pass? Why not learn on automatic? I will never understand why everyone in this country wants to learn on manual. Automatic is so much easier.
I have a great deal of sympathy for learners who are still trying to master the controls in a busy/congested area. I was fortunate that I could spend most of my first few hours driving in a semi-rural area with big, wide roads and virtually nothing in the way of traffic or pedestrians. Christ knows what would've happened if I tried to learn in London and in a second language.
Yes I was also going driving with my father in his car so going from one car to another has its challenges including clutch bite, seat positioning and different controls.
I had to go round the Old Hyde Park and Devils Corner @ Marble Arch with no traffic lights back in 1981 and the very old Trafalgar Square, again, with no lights and every Man for himself though the advantage of being thrown in the deep end is that, eventually, ordinary roads and roundabouts hold on fear. 40+ years later...😀

Good afternoon to all………. After watching this video I felt Saima had a good go with this lesson, however I could almost feel the anxiety buildup from saima especially approaching the larger major roundabouts. Maybe saima needs just to communicate a little more if she is unsure on what lane to approach or get into on roundabouts. I failed my first test by a couple points back in mid November 1999. I did passed the 2nd test a month later. I even had my 1st car those 2 times which that I gotten in mid October 1999. My first car was a 1998 Ford Contour SE in light denim blue. It was kicking old school back in the late 90’s with a radio with a tape cassette player. It also had power windows, power locks, cruise control, an automatic transmission, and even had 3 cup holders. I had that car a little bit over 5 and a half years. It was a good 1st car to drive. My current vehicle is a 2020 Ford Escape SE in black. I only had it a little bit over 7 months. I’m pretty good in driving my vehicle.
Not sure why she has a test booked when we see the level of driving in this lesson - I would have suggested to hold off on the test until it’s more clear she could pass personally
i checked the driving road and the parks and i realized in UK this is so easier to Turkey. In Turkey ve have L park, parallel park, ramp take off, sudden brake and endless traffic... god help us 😊😊
One advice: bring one language instructor in car for her so maybe he understands properly. I think she understands Urdu/Hindi, if you speak Hindi that would be great otherwise bring her one family member so she can understand properly
That’s what I was thinking so she can learn everything then add the clutch and gears in after once she’s got an understanding off judging distance speed lane changes indicating awareness
Prime example at 25 mins.. you insist on a left signal ON a AHEAD ARROW. so as you exit the roundabout the signal was still on and the cars nearly pull out on you. That's why the highway department made it AHEAD. SO SIGNALS DON'T CONFUSE.
You don't need a left signal on an ahead arrow. The highway code states this. UNLESS signs and markings state otherwise THEN SIGNAL is the rule. You can't signal ahead. No signal needed on ahead. It doesn't benefit anyone.
Can I make a bold comment? I'm sorry, and I don't want to sound negative, but I think it's just way too early for Saima to either take a driving test or even to have lessons like this one. She doesn't even have much of a clue in hindsight what were the mistakes she'd made and how they came about. And why is that? In my opinion, she's just completely overwhelmed. She appears to be on top of 50-70% of what's going on. I don't think there's much point in her going to fast roads or big roundabouts before she can easily maintain her car's position, speed up quickly, slow down progressively, shift gears naturally and without paying too much attention, switch lanes safely, and be aware of her surroundings. Right now it's half her trying her best to do the things she manages to remember (not always in the right order) and half her being prompted to do things and react to things as they happen (... which gets her confused and lose track of the things she was trying to do herself). I'm not sure if that's optimal. To me, it feels like she's being thrown into deep water way too quickly -- perhaps even by herself.
Watching these videos right after you've passed your test feels so less stressful 😂😂

i learn everyday new thing from your videos thanks alot
I have passed my theory this Tuesday on first attempt and watching these videos gives me headache 😂💯
You don't need a left signal on an ahead arrow. The highway code states this. UNLESS signs and markings state otherwise THEN SIGNAL is the rule. You can't signal ahead. No signal needed on ahead. It doesn't benefit anyone.
Wish I could train with you. All my instructors do is yell and tell me I am a slow learner. It has made me really nervous
Hi Aiman can you show us very did you put red sticker for kerb judgment please. My instructor has same car but I am struggling with parking on left..
