When I first saw Mariah Carey singing it live in Proctor’s Theatre, I immediately fell in love with her emotional rendition. This song was my first favorite Mariah Carey song. 😁
I enjoy the Christmas decorations! I remember listening to this song and just amazed by how long she held the big note for.
The Tokyo dome is the best live she´s ever done .. all her songs and vocals where phenomenal throughout ! Mariah´s beautiful voice was on point !
An epic rendition of the song, and personally my favourite.
This performance is phenomenal. Words cannot describe how good it is. This was most likely dubbed though since it’s professional footage. I’m sure there is undubbed footage on RUclips and she sounds even better in my opinion than dubbed
Concert albums are usually dubbed because they remove unnecessary noises. Undubbed footages are quite noisy and lower quality and almost the same vocals with the dub version being cleaner.
Yup , Randy Jackson on Bass. He was the Bassist in her band during the beginning of her career and then throughout certain performances in the later years. He got very busy doing other things , especially During his years on American Idol as judge. But to this day you can still occasionally spot him on stage as her Bassist .

Yess, now tokyo dome “hero” thats the best version of the song i promise, id also REALLY recommend tokyo dome “vision of love” ik youve done a lot but even if u can just check it out in ur own time do it, its not like the other VOL performances youve reacted to already, she completely makes it sound like a different song, and goes off vocally.

Hahaha... no, Mariah hasn't got two lungs and wasn't taking a breath at that point. She was doing a "break" + "cry" together. So she micro-paused her note (the "break") and immediately restarted it with a "crying sound" (the "cry") to add extra emotion.
She has so many tools available to her it's insane. Outlandishly talented.

Love your Mariah Funko! The 2nd verse yes, it has Mariah's voice in the pre-recorded background vocals....I guess nobody does her background vocals as she does hehe (even though her background singers are always top notch)

Harry Nielsen actually threw shade at Mariah’s version during the 90’s she came out with her version. & I think it was out of jealousy. I really think Mariah took it to another planet!

5:35 - This is actually dubbed… this concert (just like others) was edited before it got released… so she basically re-sung in studio and replaced the parts they thought it was not “good enough” 😊
