Always call the police in situations like that, it doesn’t matter if it’s “someone else’s business”, someone could need HELP. It’s better to be a busybody and “nosy” than to be someone ignoring potential life or death situations.

I wish there was more of a conclusion to the 'Kim' story. He looked into as much as he could but you just know 'Randy' is still out there being a dirty creep.
What is with these people who "hope" people don't get up to no good but aren't willing to take action? What if you were the one screaming and the neighbor was like, "Oh gosh, we don't get involved where I'm from... I just hope someone else reports it."
Totally agree, they should have reported the neighbor’s strange screams. Imagine if she was there torturing someone?
The only places I know where people don't get involved is trash places full of crime. And why did her partner send her over to investigate when they heard the screams? What kind of sense does that make?

Story #5 - I feel for that guy who thinks he's cursed. No idea why someone would impersonate him with accomplices and pretend to be someone that was attending the event. So many unanswered questions in that story that I'd love to know. Him too, I suppose. Great stories, they keep you invested in listening to them, very interesting and Your voice is smooth and voice acting is superb, Joel.
I'm so glad to have found your channel and this community you've built. It's been a large point of solace for me in the last few years. Thanks for always providing a bright spot for so many of us in dark places.

Just got 10+ inches of snow, my car had to get towed home and my oldest is on her third snow day and we finally just got power back 😭 it has been the longest and realist Monday in history and I’m just glad I can actually listen to you for bed tonight. We’re by NH and we were out for two(ish) days and than our whole town lost internet last night until about six pm today, but I’ll take that over no heat 😅 school is back thankfully and now to start looking for a new car lol. I’m grateful we’re ok and others had it a lot worse with this storm in our town.

I can’t wait till your birthday…… Yup. I said it. I swear to you, it’s the highlight of my year…. I thought of it, already at the turn of the new year… I used to be a pyrotechnic. I’d do multiple fireworks shows, throughout the week of the 4th of July, in the greater LA area. Whenever a “six months prior” point hit, for the fireworks shows, I’d start to feel it coming on because I was so excited for it..

About Story #5, The Cursed Preacher. If the author of the story really had nothing to do with the break in, I truly feel awful for him especially if he got his life together and was preaching love. From someone on the outside, I can see why Dre and the police thought the author’s story sounded so fishy! OK, #1, how could three men try to impersonate one man, especially if they don’t know him well? Wouldn’t Dre have saw the face of at least the "first" guy who blindfolded and bound him? Then, #2, if three men were beating up one guy, you know the three would talk amongst themselves while trying to hold the guy down and beat him together! Also #3, if none of the three intruders knew the author of this story AND they managed to gag him BEFORE he could even say a single word in Dre’s bedroom, how and why would one of them go about “deepening their voice" to sound like him??? Dre had supposedly known the author for YEARS and had been good friends with him so there’s no way Dre would mistake his voice with someone else’s! If the author is telling the truth, 100%, I pray that Dre does finally come around and they become good friends again. God Bless America! ♥️🇺🇸🙏🏼😇

That wallet story was awesome. My phone saved my life, the same way when I skied quickly over a downed log with a 3” thick branch pointed straight at my heart, and I hit that thing really fast in deep snow, knocked the wind out of me, broke my phone, but I was OK.
Concerning the third story, the scary thing is that I would have probably ran my mouth at the guy in the robe too. 😂 These stories are good because they teach you what not to do sometimes.

The people in the second and third stories piss me off. Someone was in danger in the second story but “where I’m from we don’t get in other peoples business.” And the 3rd. Waiting weeks to even notify the police. Some poor girl could’ve walked into a trap but they men of course thought it was just a funny story.

I love your stories. I love your channel. I was listening to the intro, Babble. I guess you've already been told, since you're learning Spanish, that the silent letter in our alphabet is the letter "H". The letter "J" sounds like the letter h in English. For example:
Story=historia. In Spanish you would pronounce istoria. The h is silent.
When you say: Juan conto una historia.
John told a story.
The pronunciation would be:
Huan conto una istoria.
