I love the mugen lip kit. Never been a fan of the front bumper though. I feel like the front of the RSX is designed perfectly, and should be preserved as much as possible. Clean car man, very nice
Thank you, I felt the same exact way but I wanted something different that nobody does in the state (usually) and I felt the Mugen kit was just that, I like JS racing but it’s too expensive and way to aggressive for me, IGNS kit is nice but a bit too 2000s for me and well that leaves the Mugen because Cwest and Maxracing are too hard to piece together.
You are very welcome man, I’m glad I was able to help, I always looked for the same answers I gave lol but nobody had them…so I figured I’d give a little insight once I’d acquire the kit and I did just that.
The genuine Mugen wing is actually made mainly of fiberglass. The wing blade and end plates are all one piece, molded as one. You can't unbolt the end plates. It also doesn't have those stick on carbon plate caps either. It's fiberglass and the outer faces of the end plates are 1x1 plain weave carbon. The wing bases are actually supposed to have a gap over the quarter panel , there is supposed to be a defined "step up", so as you open and close the hatch, the base overhang doesn't touch your quarter panel. Also the underside of the genuine wing is completely smooth. No indentations like the replica has, except where the two metal brackets are riveted on.
I love and respect your build. Looks like a strictly race car but so clean🔥 me personally I’m going for the mugen sides but sticking with the Type r back and front. Trying to keep it looking type R but still freaky a little but that my personal build lol. Your build deserves nothing but respect pimp. Keep grinding bro #dc5gang
Thanks man I appreciate the love, keep in mind the mugen kit is ver aggressive and hangs lower then the type r style, the mugen side skirts will extend lower then the type r front and rear, just wanted to give you that heads up.
Hey sorry for the late reply, you can check out google and you’ll see a few different websites, just pick which ever has the best price because they aren’t cheap.
I wasn’t neither tbh BUT I wanted something different then what everyone else does and Mugen was definitely the way to go, now that I have the kit on the car, it’s grown on me tremendously, & I’m also one of the most unique DC5 in my city🤷🏽♂️ since nobody had this whole kit probably within a couple thousand miles from me, so that’s why I chose it, to be different since everyone else rocks A-spec

Love the car bro. Glad you were safe during the hurricane.
thanks man I'm glad we were safe too but literally 2hrs...80 miles away our neighbors lost it all unfortunately.

The mugen kit is the best for these cars especially the side skirts.
I personally like how aggressive it looks as well as how rare it is to see a full kit so I decided to piece one together haha.
Maybe hood risers would help with gap
Sweet dc5! We have same wheels 🤙🏽
Nice💪💪💪💯
Hi Erick :)
Where can I purchase a Mugen Wing/Spoiler?

Never liked the Mugen kit.. Aspec is way better and the OEM fitment is the best.

It’s the inner eyelids on both sides that is messing up the fitment. Took a lot of time to dremmel excess fiberglass
