Had to come here and leave a comment. I’m crying my eyes out and always do when this advert comes on. Utterly heartbreaking but at the same time poignantly beautiful.
Thank you for your lovely comments about our 'whatever it takes' campaign, very much appreciated.
We put a great deal of time and thought into developing our advertising campaigns to make sure they are as effective and appropriate as possible. We receive feedback from people living with and affected by cancer throughout the process, and this helped to shape the advert.
The purpose of advertising is to tell a story about Macmillan, to demonstrate our close partnership with the NHS whilst displaying the spirit of the Macmillan ethos, that we are still here to do whatever it takes to help all those who are living with cancer.
Authenticity remains a vital component in reaching those we want to help; this is borne out by the response on our Support Line following airings. We want to reach as many people as possible and make them aware of what we do so they can see we are relevant to their situation. At the same time, we hope to inspire more people to support us. Angela
Beautiful??

Im in floods of tears 😢 and I rarely cry !!
@@followingbluebirdI even cry right now 😢
You are doing an incredible job. Thank you. And the video is really touching, nice work, Jonathan ❤.
My mother has terminal cancer and today I crumbled as time is of the essence, a person in MacMillan were there who was a great support , my mothers 65 and only found out in May - from a routine scan , my mother will always be my hero - she’s fought and fought and literally is now at the closing of her life. To say this has been hellish would be understatement but I appreciate the support and hospital staff there for both myself and my mother 💚
I've had so many of these feelings through my cancer journey so far. Especially the last part, being a mother of 4. Cancer sucks.

My schools doing a baking sale tomorrow for macmillan so I had to check this out, didn't expect to cry today!..
This advert makes me cry every single Damn time. 😢
Thank you.
The most accurate and powerful video i've ever seen about cancer. Thank You
wow, your cancer experience must have been completely different to mine because this is not accurate for me 😂😭
Everytime I'm sad I'm coming here to listen to this song 😢
Ah, new music. Does anyone know what it is, or is it custom?
I'm not sure, but it adds to the mood and fits it perfectly, I think.
@@followingbluebird The song is Max richter spring 1 - ruclips.net/video/WaCib0B8T24/видео.html&ab_channel=KlassikAkzente
Sorry to say, the track isn't Max Richter's Spring 1, although very much his style of composition. Listening to Spring 1, and all of tracks on 'Recomposed by Max Richter, Vivaldi - The Four Seasons' (I already had the album), it is not the same, although I would hazard a guess, he is indeed the composer.

I believe everyone have cancer include me
That's not true, my mum passed away from the royal free the staff were indifferent. Liars, hypocrites. God will judge you
Hi Michael, we're so sorry to hear of all you've been through. We can't imagine how difficult it was for you when your mum passed away and we're truly sorry for your loss.
We're concerned to hear that at such a difficult time, you didn't have the support you needed. This isn't at all what we expect and whilst we realise that sadly, we can't change what has happened, we'd very much like the opportunity to look into this further to see why this happened and what changes we can make for the better going forward.
We appreciate this must be difficult for you to talk about Michael, but can we ask you to tell us some more information about this? When did this happen? Can you tell us the name of the nurse in question at the Royal Free?
It would also be helpful to know your mum's personal information and as we're asking for such detail, would ask that you contact us directly. You can reach us through email at feedback@macmillan.org.uk or by using this confidential link - www.macmillan.org.uk/forms/contact-us/complaints-and-concerns.html
We really are so sorry that you've been left feeling let down and appreciate that you might not wish to involve us further, however, we're conscious of all you've been through. If ever you need someone to talk to, our Support Line is available 7 days a week 8am to 8pm on 0808 808 0000, or you can chat online here - www.macmillan.org.uk/cancer-information-and-support/get-help/emotional-help/chat-online
We'd also like to let you know of The Loss Foundation, which specialises in providing bereavement support to those who have sadly lost a loved one to cancer. If you'd like to find out more, a link to their services is here for you - thelossfoundation.org/
Thank you so much for sharing this with us Michael and we hope to hear from you.
With our love,
Helen 💚
Horrible promotion, like a scene from a cheap horror movie. Some phycologists have worked out how to get max imprint to get donations rather like the old Crazy Frog adverts that were banned. Making you cry wont help, just donate. I would rather see their successes.
I single drop of tears 😢 I'm ready to die
Has to be the most irritating ad on tv. would put people off donating😢
