  • Everyone deserves the right support at the end of life, reflecting what’s important to them. Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and their family and friends.
We provide expert, hands-on care round the clock in peoples’ homes and in our hospices across the UK. We travel to where you are, whether that’s a flat or a farm, rented, owned or shared, a family house or a care home. And we’re here with emotional and clinical support over the phone, too.
Whether you have months, weeks or days left to live, we’ll support you to live the best life you can to the end. Marie Curie is a charity working across the UK and we need your support to do our vital work.
Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end.

I saw this on TV the other day. As soon as I saw the Mum searching “How do I tell my Son I’m dying?” I was gone. Howling. Watched this over and over. Listened to the full song. It’s heart wrenching. I lost my Mum to Cancer in April. We were so close. It still hurts every single day. I miss her every single day. Nobody was there for her until the end but me, though. The amount of calls I made trying to get help.

Let’s not just focus on Marie curie - let’s celebrate all the nurses and support workers who work with dying people and people with long term illnesses - I’m a support worker in a brain injury unit and we support people with long term illnesses and we see it through to the end with them - recently I lost a lady from leukaemia- I was there with her in her final moments - holding her hand - just me and her 😢 I had supported her for three years - so let’s celebrate our nurses and care workers 👍👍👍

I've only just seen this on TV, but it's moved me to tears, the Sikh gentleman reminded me so much of my Dad who died 14 years ago of cancer. Thinking of all those who are dealing with cancer, either themselves or their friends or family. 💜

What an emotional video, as a member of the Huntly Marie Curie fundraising group who has witnessed just how great marie curie nurses, this video pretty much sums up the raw emotions of the patient, their families and the affect it has on the nurses and volunteers who go into the homes to help.
Can I ask who sings the song as I love it xx

Marie Curie clearly using paid actors during their new advert! Asian lady cleaning her car apparently is a winner but the problem is she’s an actor from another advert.

Would you rather intrude on people’s hardest moments? It does say it’s based on true stories. Of course they use actors though.

@@crabcake of course they are. Why would people expect them not to be? It’s a bit ghoulish wanting to see people’s suffering. Actors get the message across without that intrusiveness.

Shame 1 of ur new adverts includes an apparent winner (Asian lady) who is actually a paid actor from another life insurance advert lol

Why you hating for?? They’re trying to raise awareness for a good cause and it’s not always easy to bring real people with experiences into stuff like this because it can be too hard, just second guess yourself sometimes and see the bigger picture
