    If they're going to add more affixes, they need to drop WAY more items. In general mages need to be a little more rare, and a lot more rewarding.
    Or maybe also a lot more rare.
    I also hope they don't nerf the normal ward affixes on gear. No one's getting 100k ward with ward per mana spent...

    WARD builds: "phew, 60k ward, ez game"
    life builds: "phew, 2k life, surely I wont need those other stats...."

    Love this, I just think that the ward exceeds everything due to the fact that its value has extra zeros at the end of it

    If you use glyph of order then it tells on the button what the upgraded value would be, they could do this with the glyph of insight, just telling you what the affix will be

    I got 4 characters to lvl 100 and 2 to lvl 99 on cycle one, killing every exiled mage along the way -after like lvl 58 and found 2 t6s and 1 t7. Playing COF with a 25% chance for all rares to become exalted

    • @FrozenSentinel
      @FrozenSentinel 5 месяцев назад +2

      Also CoF and those affixes are so hard to get. I have 1k runes of research so well over 1k mage kills and never dropped a T7 Low Life glove. And even if we get one it's likely going to be a bad base, or a low roll that we can't often risk our limited FP to fix

    • @SpudNug69
      @SpudNug69 5 месяцев назад

      @FrozenSentinel I got the t7 low life, used the rune and it dropped to 12 reforge potential and bricked after 1 int roll (yes I used hopes on it)

    So one thign about Ward that may be interesting for them to use.
    In WH:40K Inquisitor Martyr. Almost every build can get shield added to their build.
    But, Shield is capped at (Your HP)x2 AND MOST of your defenses don't apply to Shield. Only when you're dealing with your actual HP bar.
    And I think one or both of those may help to temper ward. Which I also just don't like using, cause it feels weird.

    21:30 It sounds like the backlog was: (1) Crafting must work (2) Add more, and then (1.5) Release 1.0 came along and here we are.

    I agree that the pool should be bigger but they would have to overhaul the glyph of insight crafting system in that case. Because of how it works now there is only so many available space for affixes.

    They're called experimental affixes and we're riled up that dev and player experimenting occurred in the first release cycle. 😛

    Idk why the devs were so keen on nerfing high damage early on in balancing, when the alternative super tanky meta is way less fun and much easier to pilot. I would rather omega glass cannon builds to be more viable, but now it’s just the game is get enough damage and then just full ward

    I've been holding on for balance and bug fixes, but this is feeling like Wolcen all over again. I'm starting to lose faith that the devs can turn this around. Feels like a beta honestly.

    "The system itself is fine. They just didn't spend enough time on it." is honestly a statement that fits a lot of things in LE atm. Great base for a game but so many rough edges.
    Maybe I am just unlucky but the last 2 (out of 4 total) characters that I built up with a little fun homebrew ended up being bugged in some way or another which dramatically hindered their potential. And I shudder when I see comments here and there about bugs that are apparently still in the game after 5 years of people reporting it. I sure hope they get their priorities right and don't let this kinda stuff fester for much longer. Just adding more stuff on a rotten core will sooner rather than later lead to collapse. But they apparently hired some QA people on Reddit so there is hope.

    They could half the healing from Healing Hands and it would still be fine. Any ideas on what they are planning to nerf?

    • @MrPhyrce
      @MrPhyrce 5 месяцев назад

      Healing hands on its own is not the problem. It is a combination of gear, a lengthy list that need to be combined, that make it incredibly strong. If you try to nerf the spell directly, you make it unusable for people without that gear. You need to address the core of the problem, the interactions of the spell with specifically strong items in combination.

    • @kriskenmonroe1
      @kriskenmonroe1 5 месяцев назад

      @@MrPhyrce I guess? Sounds like you advocate for removing increased healing as affixes from some of the gear then?

    • @MrPhyrce
      @MrPhyrce 5 месяцев назад

      @@kriskenmonroe1 Healing is only one portion of it. Ward generation from healing hands scales with Atonement, Healing%, Cast speed, Ward retention and then on TOP of that you have things like Twisted heart that scale it based on top of the fire tag that Healing hands gained. There are unintended interactions that when combined create an absolute monster of ward generation. I would be fine with capping specific stats like healing %, removing the fire tag from healing hands, while that would admittedly kill current end game healing hands builds because damage wouldn't exist it would be healthier for the game, or changing some of the flavor text on specific unique items. Right now my paladin with a healing hands build caps out around 17k ward, my gear is trash but I can still farm high corruption even though my damage is trash, all because I can live through damned near anything. The build should trade off MASSIVE survival for low damage. That should be a decision do you want a glass cannon who one shots bosses? A tank that can live through anything but can kill anything? A balanced playstyle that does a bit of both? Right now with the fire tag, healing hands feels like a build that has it all and its kinda wild.

    • @kriskenmonroe1
      @kriskenmonroe1 5 месяцев назад

      @@MrPhyrce I dunno, seems it would be simpler to lower the ward generation at the base by half. You may cause a lot of issues to other skills working fine by trying to adjust everything making Healing Hands overtuned.

    • @MrPhyrce
      @MrPhyrce 5 месяцев назад

      @@kriskenmonroe1 Cutting the ward generation, as it currently works, requires you to cut healing done by the spell. They might as well replace the spell at that point. It is also not the only spells abusing the items i have mentioned.
