Hi Yasmina, I think I have seen this video before years ago, I have never danced with a fan veil but I would love to learn. I love the red accent!

Oh, you are so sweet and explained it so well! I just bought my fans and I thought that there was something wrong with them because they don't open easily, but listening to you now I know how to deal with them in the beginning. Thankyou so much!

Hi Michelle, To tell which fan veil is which when they are fully opened you look at the outside edges of the fan to see which edge is not covered by the material. One edge you see is a strip of bamboo the other edge you will see the paper glued to it. If the bamboo edge is on the L that is your L fan veil. Some vendors sell only R fan veils instead of R & L. You can still dance with 2 R's it's a little more difficult. Have fun with your fan veils and take care.

Eeee! This is a WONDERFUL tutorial! Thank you! ^_^ Now I'm going to see if I can't find some of your instruction here, on using 'em! ^_^
May I ask, do you have any suggestions for storing/carrying them..?
