it's been some time since i laid off filming hawker centres.. thought this new Market Street Hawer centre would be a great place to start off with as some of you viewers requested. Stall owners are still largely the same.. just that you've gotta make notes of where they used to be located in the old place. This place is relatively new.. think they shifted back about 2-3 months back.
as always.. thanks for following me on my food adventures..
kindly do give it a like and subscribe and share with friends and family.
that would help me fund what i'm doin.. hahaha..
have a great weekend ahead.
Sold out famous hawker stalls
Nasi lemak
Nasi Briyani

Tiong Bahru roasted meat

Fernvale ah? Yah.. heard it's new.. famous for power outage for 2 days.im gonna try visiting Margaret drive next
love this video - didnt know of this new hawker centre. prices still affordable for good satisfying food by many stall owners. Keep up this good work, Piggy...and you shall be rewarded with more food from hawkers and subscribers ;-)
Not sure if it's the editing but this place looks clean!!!
Also, good to have the Hawker tour back. It's been a while
It’s clean because it’s a new location. 😄
Coz lunch crowd not here yet 🤣
Just kiddin.. I’m also pleasantly surprised how big and spacious there place is.. but it kinda lost out that squeezeeee hawker centre feel. Too modern for me 🥹
Hello again 🙋♂️ !! Very good, so interesting to see the big quantities of food being prepared 👨🍳 🍌 🫑 🥘 🍲. Cheers, Don 👋 !
Haha Don..
now I know why I find you so familiar..
You look like Rick Steves Europe 😅
Saw some nice footage at your channel too..
So clear sharp and beautiful 😍
Nice! Thanks for sharing .
I love your commentary. Love Hawker Centre food, only we have some in Melbourne.
Wow didnt expect so cheap! Working nearby but never had chance to visit...Thanks for your video i will need to go there sometime
After seeing the video, thanks for sharing, 😋👍
Thank you Boon Keng 😊😊😊
I see a lot familiar stalls from interim market. But pretty sure the prices have increased as well 😅 good to see you are back with hawker food! 🫡

Another great video!
I just found another great hawker style Malaysia Mamak join here in Perth at the Malaga Markets.
Hail thee Malaysian Mamak Food Gods.. 🙌🏼
Blessed are we to savour Curry and Roti Prata..
Shall visit Malaga Markets next Year
@@Piggypuggy it was pretty tired a couple years ago, but has really bounced back this year.
Very busy on weekends.
Coventry is still probably the market king still, with Spencer Village being the most authentic hawker centre.
I must say that they allow you to go close up to video them. 👍Thank You for giving me the hunger pangs ...😋
I quick quick shoot then run 😅
Gotta read facial expressions to guage if I'm about to be hit by a pan.
In all honesty.. it takes a bit of courage and getting used to.. coming back from vacation.. I just didn't feel up to it to engage w the hawkers. Like a bit daunted after being absent for some time 😮💨
Please make a video on Indian Food in hawker centers. That will help many travellers from India.Your blogs are great.
Used to be the old Golden Shoe market..where most tenants are from
i can say that there is a huge plethora of food served at the capitaspring food court. i can say that it is an atas version of the ordinary hdb food court. may i know what is the operating hour for the food court and also how to get there from the main entrance where we usually take the lifts to go up to the green oasis and the rooftop garden?
Wah.. I haven't even been to the roof top garden.. I only rolled down the escalator coz stomach exploding liao.. I'd only go during working Monday-fridays for maximum bang coz I'd imagine they cater mainly for the working crowds. No hdb patrions there. Food price wise surprisingly quite ok. Not exorbitantly expensive like other options around that working area
@@Piggypuggy it's really worth a visit at the rooftop garden! we can get to see all the edible plants as well as bearing fruits like bananas and the ambras (kedondong) and also a very nice view of the marina bay sands from up there! there are also a few atas restaurants up there like sol & luna.
You finally covered this renovated FC 👍 Sadly the nasi lemark has dropped in standard & there is no more peak hour quene unlike in the past
Is it?? The last time round at the temporary place.. the queue was still snaking long
😮 I was surprised not many pp. but the one next door.. SANS had a crazy line. Don’t know what’s so special
@@Piggypuggy I had the Nasi Lemark on Mon because no quene. Felt the rice was too soft/lumpy while I prefer my rice to be more fluffy with some hints of coconut like how Ponggol & Husk does theirs. OK both Sans & The China St Curry Rice (Chain) have crazy long quene .... although I think both stalls sell similar type of rice with dishes
There is another RUclips on this new HC out there Piggy. It is not a patch on yours (lots of zooming around with no close ups to see the detail of what is on offer). Your riffing on 'I'm hungry, but not much open yet' is a wonderful tease.
I'm really hungry 😂
I thought there'd be alot more to eat given the morn office crowd. Coz the other at AMOY really offers alot more breakfast kinda stuff. I'm heading to Phuket soon.. hope to explore some good food there
Ohhh. I used to da bao the white bee hoon in the morning when they were at the interim market. Go with the freshly fried drumstick. Eat liao food coma. No need work. Alot of my colleagues also like the drumstick. 😂😝😋
Hahaha.. best laaa..
When you food coma over.. just nice to head out for lunch 😂
There used to be a very good Chicken and Mutton Biryani joint at Northpoint basement in Yishun by the name of Banana Leaf. It was my goto joint for Biryani. Wonder if its still there. Maybe you should try it some time. It used to be great, hope they are still there and have maintained their quality. 🙂
Wow.. thanks for the recommendation..
I haven’t been to Yishun for maybe 20 years except one time when I had to pick up something from a coffee shop at the industrial building. Interesting how Singapore is so small.. and we hardly travel out of our usual comfort zone
Ils ont l'air si délicieux 🤤♥
Hello 👋
Hawker food = super delicious and tasty~
😋😋😋
Sensible pricing. Delightful food. Worth the trouble to travel down to eat (hopefully not till drop).
Just don’t park there 😂🤣😅
Think it’s about $7 every hour. Can’t eat in peace
I so miss hawker centre food. Lived in 2007 to 09 in woodlands. Lovely time. Great food. Love from India.
Mybe be you cn urge and pull together the street vendors of indian street food and make your own hawker center back home ! And you will be relief of your miss for the singaporean hawker centers.💪🏻
Singapore's a mixed cultural hotpot.. easy to enjoy va4riety of international cuisines
😋😋😋🥰👍
Wow, spoiled for choice. Food looks appetising even for the usual chai peng dishes. Prices seem higher than other food centres but if the food is fresh and well cooked, it’s still worth it.
I was just wondering if they have cheap parking for these hawkers.. elsewhere.. hawkers can park their delivery vans for cheap. As such.. it's also a challenge for them on logistical aspects. ERP CBD.. I nearly fainted when my parking came to $20 for a 3hr plus parking there 🌧️
Went there to check out once at 8pm, everything is close 😂 also did u went up to the top floor of the building? The sights there are very nice, especially at night
No.. I had to run coz my parking was already $22 😂😅😅 which floor was it? High up?
Yeap, at floor 51, called sky garden @ capitalspring. You have to go up via another entrance and there’s an elevator going straight up, free access to public also
Wow! There seems to be too many hawker centres in Singapore now. Isn't it?
One for every need of it 😄
Lucky there’s one for the office fellas..
Food prices around there are an average of $10 a meal these days 🥲
@@Piggypuggy
OMG Hyper-inflation in Singapore is no joke man.
Perhaps after returning to SG for a few months, I may have to consider flying back to the Philippines as there is still a lot lower cost of living here in PH. 😜😅
@@Piggypuggy
In addition there is No Hyper-inflation at all in Philippines.
And I have my own home and property investments here in Philippines too. 😇🤗
Wow 😯 lucky 🍀 you
I would love to visit Philippines 🇵🇭 someday..
So far only been watching RUclips 😅
Must be such a beautiful country that you decided to stay out there and buy a house
@@Piggypuggy
You are most welcome to come over.
I stay in my church building sometimes and at other times my Penthouse Studio condo.
Maybe you can stay in my 4-storey church building because I am not renting out my penthouse condo as it is going to be put up for sale.
Hi May I know how to go to this place. Nearest mrt?
Oh.. Raffles place MRT. about a 3-5min walk from there 😊
God bless you. You fulfilled my wish to see this particular hawker zone. So thanks so much. Your videos are always a delight which all of us at home love watching.
Oh yes Nic 😊
I remembered you requested for it.
Will attempt Jurong someday.
Glad you enjoyed watching my videos 🥰
tesbn tuyet v ngon thank
Thank you ☺️☺️☺️
Enthralled from start to finish as usual. With your hawker videos i feel like a toddler who got put in front of cocom*lon (censor in case they spam my recommendations hahahaha)
Maybe influenced.. coz I sometimes watch Coco 🍈 to destress
👍👍👍👍👍
The malay aunty very nice and patience to entertain you, 😂😂
Piggypuggy every Hawkers favourite 😂..
Well.. 90% of the time
I've got to say prices here is really very reasonable. In fact cheaper than some heartland coffee shops. Whoever said working around Shenton Way is expensive? So many things to eat at such reasonable prices.
Omigawwwwwd... Those trays of fried eggs.... I'll have 1 tray please.
BWAHAHAHAHAHA! You even know your FAVOURITE Elvis lyrics??? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The original nasi lemak is back there
Make me very hungry.
I’ll have the cully png next time.. comfort food
Briyani and Teh Halia looked v shiok
That's my comfort food.. Singapore used to be littered with little coffee house selling Indian food.. now like all disappeared. Rental too high
@@Piggypuggy Shame, there's a nice hole in the wall sarabat stall opposite the Kampong Glam cafe that does a good teh
Sometimes all you need in life is.... Economy Rice.
😂🤣😅 uncle.. cully png.. Pork chop. Kway neng. Ko leh chai.
Tan Tan.. keh hot dog 🌭
wa lau black oil fried chicken and thats the braised pig head meat aka der tao bak
Haha.. I never try before leh.. der tao bak.. I thought I did see the pig face 😅 gotta try it someday
Free loader!
That oil is very very dark
The captions you provide should be more oriented towards the food. Sometimes your silly comments take away from the video and are very dry in humor.
I actually enjoy reading the captions while viewing the video, it kinda adds more personal touch since he’s not speaking most of the time. After all, he is exploring the various dishes and not necessarily a food critic.
But I guess he can make captions optional for those who prefer without it? Currently it’s on the video permanently and CC option on RUclips.
@D T E, @piggypuggy, I’ve been watching content on this channel for some time now, and rarely find myself distracted from the items being displayed, and the ambience, by the captions/comments. If anything, it adds to the mood of the video- depending on time of day or selection of stalls. Keep up the great work @piggypuggy. I’d rather have a video with flavour and perspective than viewing just a moving menu ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Zombies going to work... 🤣👍
Throngs of them 🧟
I used to be one
you should name the channel doggy instead
The Town area mostly educates people around so mostly like a good dog.. 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭 sorry...
Pathetic filling for the wanton 🤭 the earlier video
Keep it simple with your captions… I don’t want to know how your stomach feel or having sea sick etc…can be very annoying
Totally agree. Good choice of words is important
I hate your subtitles. It is silly.. plus you gave me the impression that you are exploiting the poor hawkers...
..it would be an enjoyable vid to watch if it wasn't for all that unnecessary smart-axx commenting 👎
You can be smart and tape a sticky tape below to block out the comments.. or train your eyes 👀 not to read them
