Actualy, I don't see the problem with age. I'm 14 and in a teen theatre group, and this fall we are doing 'Into The Woods'. I'm auditioning for the bakers wife. Haha, I know it's different!
Amy Adams gives a valiant effort and is a more youthful interpretation of the Baker's Wife. I just think Joanna Gleason perfected this song and interpretation.
I saw it a couple of times. She was imo kinda underwhelming... The real star though was Sarah Stiles as Little Red. She redefined that character for the best.
Don’t compare the original to different interpretations. This was a great role for Amy in a completely different production. Tbh, the real standard at this point is Sutton Foster.
Hard Boiled Entertainment She was in the Disney movie musical Enchanted (and surprisingly, I understand they are making a sequel! The first one is delightful, btw), and she also sings in Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. I highly recommend both of these movies.
Nick Mayor John Webb They're good friends in real life, ever since filming an indie movie together. I loved both their interpretations and would LOVE to see them in a musical together.
Wow! Go Amy! I thought she'd be more of a Cinderella, but she nailed this song.
It sounded kind of raspy according to the quality of this video. I didn't even know she was PART of an Into The Woods play.
Can she PLEASE do more live theater?!?! I absolutely love her talent
She has a lovely voice. A little younger than I would choose for the Baker's Wife, but she handles s it very well.

She sounds young, she was 38

Joanna Gleason is my favorite in this role. 👌
With the success of La La Land, someone better cast Amy in a movie musical, quick! Our princess deserves it.

TrulyJennyMorris I know. I just mean another one, SOON!
wait hold on do you think emma stone is amy adams?? cause they are two different people
They are apparently bringing Follies to the big screen. I would love to see her play Sally!
I'm here from the future to tell you Amy Adams was cast in the film adaptation of Dear Evan Hansen.
What a fabulous talent Amy is. To be so great in live theatre and then go into film. A great craft xx love her xx
Petition started to just have Amy sing in every film. I don't care how it'll work, but just make her.
Even I`ve just found it unexpecting to find Amy Adams doing a show.
Both she and Emily Blunt starred together in Sunshine Cleaning.
I wish she was playing The Baker's Wife in the upcoming movie... although I like Emily Blunt too and hope she does well!
I agree and was stunned to hear Blunt sing,,,a lovely voice too.

emily blunt was absolutely perfect for the role. loved it... even better than amy adams imo!
Both Amy and Emily starred together in Sunshine Cleaning.
This was at The Delacourte Theater in Central Park for Shakespeare in the Park.
Well no one will make us forget Joanna, but Amy did a nice job with this number.
You didn't expect much? She's a fantastic actress and singer though...
I didn't know she could sing! That's such a hard song to sing too!
Ummm...did you forget about Enchanted?
I didn't see that.
Ruben Navarro oh. Well, she sang alot in that.
I saw it.
Can I ask where this performance was? Nyc? was it a one time thing?I was wondering why she wasn't cast in the movie! She's so great.
Me: Giselle what are you doing in a play version of Into The Woods.
Robert and Edward: Can we join
GISELLE: No
Wait,SHE`S the Baker`s wife?
Amy Adams would make a better Cinderella than that Twilight actress.
Do you mean in the movie? That's Anna Kendrick, not Kristen Stewart...
I know. Anna Kendrick is also in Twilight...
What is this? Her High School production?
Lol this was with shakespeare in the park, central park, nyc in 2012
