She's a master manipulator who is likely too damaged to ever be a decent person at this point. Her terrible childhood of being used and abused could justify her bad behavior up to a point, but it's way beyond the point where she needs to take responsibility for her own actions. Not every child actor who has had similar experiences turned out terrible, such as Drew Barrymore for example.
