My mother used to have the old version of pressure cooker. She used to cook vegetable soup in it and we used to love it especially during the winter cold months, The soup we used to call it The Dawson Soup. It was so hearty. That used to have a pressure valve too.
We just love our Instant Pot! We usually throw a towel over our vent so the steam doesn't get all over. We've seen these vent diverters. Looks like it works like a champ.
