It sounds like these women are human beings. Men and women have been having sex since before there was language, before there was religion and its 'marriage' decrees, since before civilization itself. And it sounds like these women don't give a rat's wrinkled ass about what anyone thinks of them, and just enjoy something that comes naturally to men and women. It sounds like society has been convinced to be a bunch of arrogant prudes.
Being a stage actress back in the Victorian / Edwardian time were considered to be prostitutes. Obviously the industry has maintained it's image and has managed to introduce much of this into society today through the film and tv industry.
The casting couch has been around in all aspects of the entertainment industry since the very beginning. Sexual harassment and abuse of females (including under aged females) in theatre, music, film, tv, etc. is a time honored ( and despicable) tradition
Casting couch is common in the film industry and women who desire and aspire for roles in the films have to please the bosses. Women have to sleep with inflential personalities to be in the show business. There should be no grouse from them as they are well aware of the facts that is in the cine field.
@@LoneLee2022 I am positive it does. You have to wonder how many of the biggest Hollywood leading ladies had to sleep around to get where they are. I doubt it was luck. Like any field you have to work your way to the top. Cinderella doesn't start off the princess. Probably hundreds of pretty young actresses would do anything to impress a studio exec and cast in a leading part in a movie. I don't think much has changed from the 1940's on up. People are more politically correct now but the process will continue.

How in the world could marrying one of the Hilton sisters constitute bigamy? In order to commit that crime, he would have to be married to BOTH of them, not just married to one of the sisters with the other accompanying them all the time. The Eng brothers were conjoined and managed to both marry and have large families, and that was in North Carolina in 1840. If the Bible belt didn't think it was bigamy a century earlier, I don't see how anyone in authority could justify that decision for the Hilton sisters.

After you divorce a previous wife, you then can be legally married again. Have you anything to say in your defense?' "Yes your honor. Oh, no, they weren't prudes at all. Prudes were/are actually the minority in show business - actors, singers, any sort of performers, really. A lot of people blame it on 'Hollywood', but it's not really so. The truth of the matter is, there are people who don't concern themselves with the societal norms. They literally live as they want to live, and I believe it's part of what makes them good singers, actors, etc. They're not afraid of gossip. And let's face it - if they were really the prudes that everybody thought they should be, nobody would have paid to see their movies, concerts and so on. Would YOU pay to see a movie starring some lackluster nobody portraying yet another lackluster nobody? No. Hollywood is about 'larger than life'. I have never heard Mariska say anything bad, regarding Jayne or her “reputation”. And her father Mickey Hargitay never told me such stories. Many articles and interviews of Mariska; she only speaks glowingly about her mother, but it’s only what she heard. She was about 3, when Jayne died. What I wish, is that she would publicly give accolades to the woman who mothered her, Ellen Siano-Hargitay. Ellen and Mickey married, and they reared the three kids. To this day, Ellen doesn’t get much credit from Mariska. I know all, about the entire family, as Ellen and I are closest of friends. Mickey was my dear friend, as well. I miss him…
Ps; Jayne went to a Mae West show, wherein Mickey was an adagio dancer for Mae. Waiter came to Jayne and asked what he could get for her. Jayne pointed to buff-Mickey, and said “I’ll have him”! The rest was history.

😂
I don’t think there is such a thing as “Hollywood” any more!
Or maybe it just shows that old Hollywood and modern "Hollywood" weren't that different after all, except old Hollywood had studio fixers.
Wow, edgy comment, bruh....
The phrase "the casting couch" was widely known when I was a kid in the 1960's. Nothing new or old.
The casting couch has been around in all aspects of the entertainment industry since the very beginning. Sexual harassment and abuse of females (including under aged females) in theatre, music, film, tv, etc. is a time honored ( and despicable) tradition
@@JazzDelMar and as corey fieldman said.. they are an equal oppertunities exploiter.. kids too!
Casting couch is common in the film industry and women who desire and aspire for roles in the films have to please the bosses. Women have to sleep with inflential personalities to be in the show business. There should be no grouse from them as they are well aware of the facts that is in the cine field.
Still goes on today.
These would still fall under "alleged" notoriety since most of the rumors couldn't be verified...but if the internet were around back then, it might be a different story...and I wouldn't be surprised if bigger name actresses would fill up the list.

Mark Michael, yes they did and there are women (I've met them) who could care less if a man has a girlfriend or a wife. They somehow feel they are "all that." It's not that common for a man to leave his wife and kids for someone he is just having an affair with. I know it happens, but it's not all that common.
Well, he ended up paying for it in the end. She was not an easy person to get along with, from what I’ve heard.
She died young of Tuberculosis if I am remembering correctly. In the novel Gone With the Wind , Scarlett is much more scandalous. The movie was PG, G rated by comparison.
Well it's not like she had the husband at gunpoint. Her husband willingly partook in this affair so, it's unfair to say she "stole" someone else's husband when the husband was happily partaking in the affair
Olivier threw her at a table and resulted in her eye being really damaged. They were both abusive to each other

She's got a b/w segment jamming with Booker T on the music video to Rufus and Carla Thomas's. Cause I Love You.
Dont forget Dorris Day man that wholesome image turned out to be a real laugher.
And don't forget the connection to Chuckie Manson via her son Terry. There is not a lot of discernment in Hollywood.
I think Doris Day is mostly just guilty of having had poor judgment about men.
Gotta go with Jayne Mansfield. The Loren Side Eye seals the deal.
Yep. When Sophia Loren is checking out your rack you know you've got a set
@@jamesmckane1205 I think Sophia Loren later said she feared Mansfield was about to spill out of her dress.
Jane Mansfield was beautiful. A lot of people didn't see past her rack.
@@vickiehenry1650 In my humble opinion even more beautiful than Marilyn Monroe
@@vickiehenry1650 she certainly was, and she used that rack to get work. That is not a condemnation; more of a statement. She was smart and talented, and could play the role she was given.
How about one for the guys who slept around
You'd need HOURS for that one!! LOL!!!!😉😉
All of them.
Do you mean my third cousin Errol? And I am not joking, he is my third cousin.
All of them?
How many parts would there be for that one.
Elizabeth Taylor, Diana Dors, Vivienne Leigh and Jayne Mansfield are my favorites.
I do not like elizabeth taylor. The fact that MJ seemed to have liked elizabeth taylor so much quite puts me off Him. Elizabeth taylor corrupted the society and the pop culture, elizabeth taylor had some of the wrong values.
Looking for love in too many places and in too many faces - it happens
Thanks for sharing this, bonnie!
Better Davis said that Joan Crawford had slept with every male, including Lassie. Many male actors had to deal with the casting couch too. I feel sorry for the children that were taken advantage of by people in Hollywood.
I hate spell check. It was Bette Davis.
Who is lassie
Ya got to admit, Bette Davis was a hoot, and always said it like it really is. .I don't blame her for hating on Joan Crawford. Bette once said Joan ruined the relationship with the man that was the love of her life. I wonder if one night in the head with Mommie Dearest was worth it to the guy!!
And one of Jayne and Mickey’s kids is Mariska Hargitay, of Law and Order SVU
Thanks for sharing this, David!
Hate that show. Ruined L&O for all time.
During the filming of National Velvet (1944) Taylor was spending time with Mickey Rooney,he had his own private trailer, she was seen on her knees in front of Rooney the visitor said she wasn't praying.
Just sad she was a victim
Louise Brooks also popularized the Bobbed Haircut. The bobbed haircut became a symbol of "Flappers."
Louise Brooks is my idea of a doll. What a beauty!
I like Gene Tierney A LOT, Deborah Kerr too...also that girl from the "niagara" movie was pretty cool and spicy.
Thanks for watching!
And now they're reaping the results of their choices in life. Wonder if they're happy
You mean in the afterlife? They're all dead.
Nobody's happy in hell!!!
You forgot to mention that Tallulah Bankhead was also bisexual and had lovers of both sexes. She once said that her father warned her about “men and alcohol, but never said anything about women and cocaine."
Thanks for sharing this!
She sounds awful. I do not like her.
