For the record....THE love of Elizabeth Taylor's Life was 3rd husband, producer Mike Todd, who tragically died in a horrific plane crash. Eddie Fisher was Todd's best friend. Both Taylor and Debbie Reynolds later said that the affair began when Elizabeth (wracked with inconsolable grief after the death of her beloved) turned to Eddie to keep the " memory of Mike alive, and it got out of hand". Elizabeth concluded by saying that what she did was 'sick'. While married to Eddie, she met Richard Burton, and 'that was that'. Their roller coaster 10yr marriage made history, but Burton always remained Elizabeth's SECOND Greatest Love. Burton knew this, even once saying that if Mike Todd had lived, neither he nor any other man would've had a chance with Elizabeth Taylor.

Elizabeth Taylor was an a class b****. Not only stole her best friend's husband (Debbie Reynolds - Eddie Fisher) no excuses - she was a narcissist who only cared about what she wanted. Also, while married to Fisher she seduced Richard Burton who was married with 3 children - he ended up being an alcoholic - they married, divorced and married again. She had 7 marriages - I am sure all were about her.

Whatever floats their boat, but back in my day I'd always tell girls "why would I want to sleep with you when everyone in Belleville (my hometown) already has." LOL I mean, if someone wants to sleep around, that's their business but I guess I'm just old fashioned and have more respect for myself than that. There is a lot more 'instant' coverage of it now. Today, someone can snap a picture with a camera they carry at all times, post it to social media, and thanks to the 'push' nature of various media outlets, by dinnertime it's a global thing - and forgotten about three days later when some other (not-really) scandal surfaces.
That was definitely not the case back then.
It's also part of why the world, lately, seems to be going 'berserk'. It hasn't actually changed all that much, there's just more coverage of it now, and we have the attention span of gnats as a result.

How in the world could marrying one of the Hilton sisters constitute bigamy? In order to commit that crime, he would have to be married to BOTH of them, not just married to one of the sisters with the other accompanying them all the time. The Eng brothers were conjoined and managed to both marry and have large families, and that was in North Carolina in 1840. If the Bible belt didn't think it was bigamy a century earlier, I don't see how anyone in authority could justify that decision for the Hilton sisters.

They literally live as they want to live, and I believe it's part of what makes them good singers, actors, etc. They're not afraid of gossip.
And let's face it - if they were really the prudes that everybody thought they should be, nobody would have paid to see their movies, concerts and so on.
