    I'm really excited for s2 cs! Already started meshing a map in the HLA editor and will port it over to cs when that comes! Thank you for your videos. Both this new series and the crash course. Have helped me lots. I'll probably start sharing my project in the discord when the actual cs tools come

    I mapped for CSS back in the day and I'm super excited to jump back in. These videos are great primers to prepare to the way. I'll be back once I have access 😉👍

    A question, is that house one large mesh? Is there a rule of thumb when/ where to separate it? - would be cool to see that
    Thanks
    4:20 Shift-Q Alt-Shift-Q - cool thing

    • @eagleonedevelopmentteam849
      @eagleonedevelopmentteam849  Год назад

      It’s one mesh which you can separate later usually on a room by room basis for cubemaps. But fp cubemaps will change soon so it might not be necessary

    It seems to me that to build a house with several rooms, it would be easier to use a plane rather than a cube. For example, we create a plane, set it according to the area of the house, and using the same Clipping Tool or Edge Cut Tool we cut out the walls along the grid, while preserving the doorways. Next, we simply extrude the resulting walls upward and finish the doorways. Well, then the windows, the roof... I don’t understand something right, of course 🤔🤔🤔🤔

      weirdly enoug valve mentined that the minimum card needed is rtx 2060 ti 6 gb !
      i dont think ti version have less then 8gb, im thinking about buying rtx 2060 6gb just to mess around hammer
      there is a lot of cs 1.6 old maps that i wanted to put on my cs go server but they were not greatly converted to cs go , the design of those maps were shit, so im thinking to learn to maps so i can bringg some nostalgia hapinnes to this comunity.

    With csgo nades needing high skyboxes and lots of unobstructed space above the play area can these inverted blocks be utilized well?

    • @eagleonedevelopmentteam849
      @eagleonedevelopmentteam849  Год назад +1

      Source 2 makes it easier to make sure that the skybox and in bounds play area fits the map as designed!

      @@eagleonedevelopmentteam849 Ultimately, it's up to you and your own time! I appreciated them because I personally gained more from it, seeing how these s2 hammer elements shape up into something "whole" in an hour. I get it though - this is definitely going to be much more helpful for the brand new CS2 people coming in. However, once they learn, I think they will benefit from the one-shots as well.
