I love your vids! By far, some of the best I’ve seen on RUclips. No load music or screaming profanity or other nonsense. Just epic runs down steep, technical terrain.
Same man, this peak looks really awesome to ski but I have no chance hiking up that thing in ski boots. Still, I would be super happy if I could hike to and ski Gold Hill 9, and Dihedral Chute in Black Iron Bowl!
@@heathsampleski7781 Aside from the intense workout and killer view, I'm left wondering why bother? I've watched four videos tonight of people's runs down the Gold Hill chute area and the snow looks absolutely awful - just rocks and scraped off snow.

Wow! Top section looked pretty thin and chalky. Feel like I’d want an ice axe or at least a whippet for some of that ascent too.
Climbing up those rocks in your ski boots? Yikes.
crampons and ice axe mate... one slip and you're a footnote on the news. Good skills tho.
Kudos! That's a whole lotta nope for me!
this video helps me practice for the run. I'm am almost ready for it, maybe another 4 yrs.
Palmyra is best. I love watching people ski Palmyra
I live 30mins away from the resort but never have went up the great hikes like this telluride has. Nice to see what it is actually like 👍
Incredible. Great amount of effort for that. Well done.
Boots are tougher than I thought. I wish I could do that kind of thing.

I have skied in Telluride and boy that does not look fun, that is the highest place there. Also have you done one of the Gold hill chutes?
honestly the hike looks 50x as difficult as the run itself
Especially in hardboots.
The hike anyone can do with some training the run is not hard once you know what you are doing but to get enough skill to do palmyra takes years
i never would be able to ski this, mainly because i have a slight fear of falling and i cant hike at all with ski boots
Look Ma I didn’t plant a single pole !
I want to hike palmira thid year but I dont know if ill even survive on the hike 😅
nice video is this accessible from the resort?
Thanks and yes! You ride to the top of Prospect Express then its about 2 hours hike along the boundary line to the drop in.

@@bruceleeser4246 those are in bad conditions. Just like all resorts the conditions of the runs won't be perfect 24/7
@Bruce Lesser, I’m in Telluride on a vacation at the moment, and the gold hill runs are absolutely amazing, even though palmyra peak is closed.
@@mronionpotato8031 Im going there next week. What are your favorite runs for advanced skiers?
Yeaaah Boi! ⛷🏔
That looks pretty scary.
We ALL have our limitations...
Mine are about 10% of yours
I've been trying to find someone doing Capitol but I can't. Have you done it?
That didn't look like my idea of fun.
Oh my gosh!
Get bigger pole baskets if you want to ski mountaineer..crampons and ice axe also
Perfect thanks 😊
This is seniors then the bottom half of roy boy. You can ski roy boy from the top if you hike across the ridge alittle. Still a great run!
I live here lol
I bet you were wishing you could have skied it a little better.
Danger will robinson !!
