i got to say scrolling through the comments i congratulate you on replying to most if not all reasonable comments that's some dedication keep up the good work .. got yourself a new subscriber definitely gonna recommend your videos :)
Ordered the same screen in your link, installed it today - worked like a charm. Couldn't have been easier. Thanks for the very helpful guide. HUGE improvemnet. Acer take note - please stop using TN panels....
Galaxy Tech Review display quality is so important. It's what people stare at most while using a laptop. A dull display makes the fastest laptop mediocre
Thanks so much for this video! I know it's a bit old, but I've just made the upgrade to an old Acer Aspire E15 (E5 575...) and worked out great! This laptop came with an HD TN display, so it was a BIG improvement. Cheers!
I’m in the process of overhauling my 575G N16Q2 (4->16GB DDR4, 500GB 7200RPM HDD->1TB NVME) and now I’m super excited to know I can easily swap to IPS. I always buy and recommend IPS monitors to my clients, and knowing Acer makes a compatible panel for these old notebooks is very exciting. As someone who loves preserving technology and hates e-waste, more people need to start upgrading rather than buying new!!! Why spend $1200 on a nice new laptop when you can get comparable performance on a 7 year old laptop for a little under $200? Thanks for the helpful video and shoutout to Acer for making their hardware so damn easy to modify.
A TIP: you can use a guitar pick or even two of them with one a thin and the other a little thinker to gently pry the seam apart, where this instructor shows us. The thinner guitar pick will get the initial separation, then with a little bet of twisting of the thin pick, you will be able to easily insert the thinker/stiffer guitar pick. This will help to open enough space at the seam for you to gently pry with the picks until you can get your fingers in there... if you don't have access to a guitar pick an old credit card may work, although the credit card is a tiny bit thicker than would be preferred.
Is the screwdriver size used to open the back of the computer to access the memory and hard drive the same to replace the screen? What size screwdriver(s) do it need to buy? I do not have any tools. Thanks for your reviews, they are extremely helpful.
First of all, i would like Galaxt tech for all the info. Great Work! at last, one final question, the acer e5-575 (non "g" version) uses a N156HGE-EAL REV.C1 screen. Does the B156HAN01.2 would work ? is it compatible?
Wow. I never looked into this and did not know it is that simple to replace the screen. This is great to know. After watching a few of your vids i appreciate the content and hands on. Looking forward to receiving my new E5-57D4 even more now. My first upgrade will be ram etc Subbed!
Side note, B156HAN01.2 is not IPS according to Panellook. It's AHVA, which is a competing technology to IPS. You get IPS-like quality apparently from the video, which is good to know since I've never seen an AHVA panel before.
One of the nice aspects of VA panels is their relatively high contrast ratio. About 3000:1 seems to be typical, which is higher than the approximately 1000:1 to 1500:1 that you would get from an IPS panel.
Just wanted to say thank you for the great idea. I purchased this laptop and upgraded the RAM to 16gb and upgraded the display which is great for my office work and gaming on the side.
No problem at all, it's an upgrade that is totally worth the 50ish dollars in my opinion. Easy to do too. I love my Acer, great battery and can game some if I need to without it being some huge heavy machine. It will even game on battery without dropping frames. Thanks for watching and your support! Appreciated.
+Media Vision matte. And the 2 revisions are nearly identical except for updated firmware that makes the panel usable in a broader range of laptops. The 1.1 and 1.2 will both work with the Acer series of laptops.
Some people recommend 1.1 ... others 1.2.... I have Aspire E5-575G-59RG and after 2-3 weeks I see a dead pixel in my display. I have warranty, but I want to change the display because i don't like it...
Liked the video! I have a question about mine one “Acer Aspire VX15” with TN display I’m interested in graphic design, so can I replace this one to IPS ? I f I do, for which display to look for? Also, would it have such an improvement?
+JONHWAR you can either identify the screen that you have in your current laptop and look online for the specifications of the existing panel ie the number pins either 30 or 40 pins connector and size and dimensions of the actual panel which are all pretty standard. Then you can look for a replacement IPS panel that has 30 pins or 40 pins based on what you need. If you can find out the model number of your current panel I can always look it up for you and then suggest what panel to grab most likely though in the panel that I used in the video will work if your laptop is a 15 inch laptop.
Galaxy Tech Review Hey man, I'm looking to upgrade from a 15.6 1366x768 tn panel to a 15.6 1920x1080 ips panel in an asus x550la. The panels model number B156XW04. Would there be a bandwidth issue with the stock video cable in my laptop with the higher res panel? Will the generic 30-50$ 1080 ips panels on amazon work or would i need a specific one? Can you reccomend anything by a US seller? Sorry for asking so much. Anything/everything helps a ton... thanks in advance~~~~
I just purchased and swapped the TN display for an IPS and I'm loving it but I have a question... My son has a Lenovo G50 with a cracked screen, by any chance will my old TN screen (N156HGE-EAL) fit that laptop? And where can I find info on what screens are compatible with certain laptops? Thanks in advance and thanks for this video!
You can download NWiNFO64 and then run it on your son's laptop and look under "monitor" section it will tell you the current model number of his screen. then go to panelook.com and see if they are the same size and have the same connectors.
Thank you for doing this video, I bought model E15 E5-575-318Z, i3 6167U with Intel iris 550 graphics which are really impressive for integrated GPU, also threw in a 256gb Samsung Evo860 nvme M.2 and it's nice & fast, the original screen is usable but pretty awful - ordered an LG/PHILIPS IPS which when arrived said Samsung on the back, what a difference though - the laptop is great for £399, after upgrading it's a very capable machine which plays all my games at decent settings :-)
Hi, i loved the video, very informative. One problem though, I have an acer aspire 5 (a515-51-531z) with the 1366x768 panel. how can i figure out the compatibility of the screen in the video to my laptop(brackets and such)?
Great video, I'm definitely gonna be looking at doing this for my laptop. It's a 2-in-1 so the panels are hard to find and pretty expensive what with the digitizer, but it's sure to be worth it.
You can certainly use a plastic spudger (although I had absolutely no problems with my fingers as you saw), and yes the B156HAN01.2 will work just as well. Thanks for watching!
Did you have to calibrate the color at all for the new display? I found the original TN panel to have too much yellow, and was fortunate to find an .icc online. Have you found anyone who has calibrated this new panel?
+Matthew Beigel I have not calibrated the new panel. Looks pretty good to me from out of the box. But I also don't calibrate most of my displays unless they are plain awful. Lol
I don't know if you can help me out, but I'm wondering if I should get a cheaper gaming laptop with maybe a mediocre display and replace with a reasonable priced display for around $1k. Looking at the options from Dell(G7), HP(Omen 15), and Acer(Helios 300) or any other one around that criteria. Thanks in advance
You can totally do that if you are comfortable with taking the laptop apart to upgrade the screen (process on most of those will be pretty close to what I do here in this video. Just go slow and be careful. Good Luck and thanks for watching.
I lived with a 1360X768 TN panel on my old 2011 laptop until I bought a new laptop this year, with 1080 IPS, it's worth it, not absolutely necessary but worth it. Too bad it isn't optional on all laptops.
Does this bring up any issues on performance of the pc? Ie is battery life affected? Or do you notice any changes in the laptops heat? I'm concerned that maybe this new screen draws more power and produces more heat or degrades the performance of the pc. Thx!
Hi. I've gone ahead and purchased this display already as the color improvement as well as lack of washed out imagery is enough to prompt a purchase out of me. But I must ask, does this replacement screen add any noticeable delay on response time to inputs?
Galaxy Tech Review great news, thank you for the timely response. I've watched a few videos and have been really impressed with your content as well as the time you take to reply with good information. You've earned yourself another sub good sir!
Hi I wanted to know if Acer sells LCD screens because I have broken main, I took to a shop and apparently they told me that Acer does not sell screen but actually Samsung sells screens for Acer laptop, I just wanted to fully confirm if that is true. I don't wanna get scammed
Hey, loved your tutorial. However, I ordered the same screen but was delivered a B156HAN04.4 H1WA screen, which doesn't seem to be working. I've made sure to check that the pin is properly inserted. I've got the same laptop as yours, an Acer E5-575g-57D4, any advice?
My advice would be to return it and get the screen model that I recommend in the video. Contact the seller and make sure that the replacement screen is the exact model number either 01 or 02
Hi, I have a TN panel, 30 pin connector, HD(1336x768) on my laptop 💻 AsusPro - P2540U (CPU i5-7200U GPU Intel 620) and I like to upgrade with an IPS Full HD (1920x1080) panel. The biggest problem I have is that I cannot find a place where I can buy the right product or find an IPS one. Can you please Help Me to find the right product. Thanks in advance.
Hello brother. Mere pass hp ka laptop hae i5, 6th generation. Model =hp pivilion ab522tb Screen = 15inch TN 1080×1980 Screen connector = 30-pin eDP Kia main apny ais model main IPS led lgwa skta?
Hey thanks for the information. I have acer aspire 5-A515-51G. Facing same issue with the screen. Want to upgrade. Kindly suggest me best screen for my laptop.
+Joe Troiani the difference between the 1.1 and the 1.2 is just a revision that allows the panel to be installed in a broader range of laptops. The 1.2 I believe is the model that is no longer in production but there are a bunch out there for sale. Both the 1.1 and the 1.2 will work on the Acer.
The power difference is very minimal like going from say 1.0 watts to 1.30 watts. Won;t effect your system in a way that will make an impact. It should fit any Acer 575G series laptop yes.
Hi i'm interested in replacing the battery on this laptop. Can you make a tutorial video on how to do it? What battery should i get the version of this laptop with the I5-7200U?
you can replace the battery, you will have to remove the entire bottom plate and then unplug the battery from the main board and then plug in the new battery. I unfortunately do not have this test unit for further videos. Sorry I can not be of more help. It should not be a hard job though.
Does screen gets brighter? I currently have 15-inch tn samsung laptop instead, but I'm going to try this if it gets my screen brighter and cover more rgb area.
Hi! I got an Acer e5 571G 760Q with an HD screen. Can I do the same thing with it changing the HD screen to a FHD screen? If it's possible, can you recommend an model?
Hey, can i do the replacement with a glossy IPS panel instead of matte? because mine came with matte finish and i can't get used to it (it's a matter of taste), thanks!
Hey, great video bro! I have an aspire 3 a315-41-r97j, would the same panel you used apply to my laptop? It is 720p TN display which is not the most pleasant to see.
Hey, nice video. Do you know if this is a similar procedure for the acer vx5? Here in Brazil they sell it with a TN panel, and the vertical angle issue is really bothering me. Already started looking for compatible pannels
Please help me. I just bought the Acer Aspire E 15 E5-576G-5762 and the screen is very dim and reds in the display are very orangey. There is no pure red. I can't stand it but I'm worried that returning it to Amazon will cost me money because it's technically not defective... Is there a screen I could replace it with to improve the brightness and especially color? Apparently this is only 74% of the sRGB spectrum but I didn't know how bad it would look.
In many reviews they say the screen is to dark. highest lumens on that screen is 192. Is it true that the default display is that dark? Did changing the panel make any difference?
I unfortunately purchased an Acer Aspire VX 15 with a TN screen panel. I would like to ask what's the best IPS screen replacement for it as I am not sure if the model you used in the video is compatible with it (number of pin connectors, prot placement, etc.). Thanks in advance.
Yes you can use the model in this video, it will also fit the Acer VX 15. (I have tested it in my VX 15) Buy the replacement B156HAN01.1 High Gamut IPS screen HERE amzn.to/2lIOwA5
How do you get rid of the old screen? I have three separate LCD screens from laptops I've fixed over the years (I seem to have bad luck with displays), but I haven't gotten rid of them because I'm not sure how to. Do the vendors have any kind of recycling policy?
+Larry Wilson not that I know of but I just kept my replacement screen so mine's just wrapped up in bubble wrap in a box somewhere. Not quite sure what you would have to do to recycle old dead ones or what not
Hi Galaxy Tech, can the same panel be used for this model? Aspire E15 E5-571G-33VA, Intel Core i3, 4GB DDR3, 1TB, Geforce 840M. I am totaly disapointed with the quality of the screen so I am thinking abt. this solution. Best regards.
hello, im currently using an asus k556uq with a TN panel and i really wanna change it to ips because im using my laptop for photosop etc and its really not ideal. can you provide me with some informations about the screen that i need to look for because i have no idea how to look it up. thank you
So I have heard rumors that the screen that this laptop comes with is somewht dim, so if this upgrading is done, will the screen be brighter, since its an IPS screen
+Galaxy Tech Review thank you for reply. Just one more thing. I have noticed that the model of a panel in your video is B156HAN01.1 and the panel model that you posted in the video description is B156HAN01.2. Is there any difference between those two? I am looking forward to your reply because I will probably buy one of those two models (01.1 or 01.2) for my E15 E5 575G-58A7.
The panels are the same except for the firmware revision 1.1 vs. 1.2 that makes the panel work with more products. For Acer 1.1 or 1.2 will work just fine.
Ordered the Au Optronics B156han01.1 from East Coast and received revision 1.2. Not sure if it was an actual Au Optronics or another brand as it didn't show company of manufacture. Installed it and about 2 inches of the left-hand side of the screen are corrupted and unusable. The rest looked fantastic though. East Coast was nice enough to send me an RMA even though I disregarded their warning about upgrading to a different panel. I have the E5-575 but, the version with and Intel integrated GPU. Any ideas, or do you think the panel was bad?
Sent it back and fingers crossed I'll get one that works. I calibrated the stock TN panel and it actually made a big improvement but, nowhere near what that IPS panel is capable of. The stock panel has an sRGB value of 52% and an Adobe RGB value of 36%. Guess you could call that a low gamut panel but, either way, it's pretty bad.
Would you be able to do this with the Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM model? I might be purchasing one soon, I'm torn between that and the Acer Spin 5 SP513-51-38M1 which already has an IPS.
+LemonJuiceGV the best way to determine that is to figure out what model of screen you have in your laptop already you can download a program called HW info 64 and run that under monitor after the program was wrong you can see what model number of screen you have
I have a similar laptop, E5-575G-55H4, but 1366x768, do you think it can be upgraded to IPS full hd pannel ? to improve not only quality but also more res?
hey buddy can i use it in acer aspire 3 a315-58 as of now it has a yellowish tint which i hate from my heart. Is the new one also has one(yellowish tint)
sir can i upgrade my laptop screen to full hd? my current res now is 1366 x 768 and the LCD model number is B156XTN07.0 and laptop model is acer e5 575g 3d42 (30pins) what particular model number of LCD that has 1080p will work on my laptop? thanks in advance
@@GalaxyTechReview btw sir may i know your cable EDP if its 1 lane or 2lane? i think mine is equiped only 1 lane. does it will still work with full hd panel display you suggest ?
People who dislike this video of mine must LOVE the awesome viewing angles that are a TN screen. LOL
i got to say scrolling through the comments i congratulate you on replying to most if not all reasonable comments that's some dedication keep up the good work .. got yourself a new subscriber definitely gonna recommend your videos :)
+Kyle Darnell thank you Kyle I appreciate the support.

Ordered the same screen in your link, installed it today - worked like a charm. Couldn't have been easier. Thanks for the very helpful guide. HUGE improvemnet. Acer take note - please stop using TN panels....
+goalieboy29 awesome I'm glad it worked out for you thanks for watching and your support
16 more gigs of ram are also on the way (per your vid) for the clean sweep! She's gonna be purring like a kitten after all this.
+goalieboy29 cool enjoy
goalieboy29: They did with the E5-576G-5762.
Galaxy Tech Review display quality is so important. It's what people stare at most while using a laptop. A dull display makes the fastest laptop mediocre
I watch this video about 6 times a day, one of the best videos of all time
thanks
Thanks so much for this video! I know it's a bit old, but I've just made the upgrade to an old Acer Aspire E15 (E5 575...) and worked out great! This laptop came with an HD TN display, so it was a BIG improvement. Cheers!

Can we get confirmation that this works with the new E15 E5-576G laptops?
Great video . Do you play games on your laptop ? have you see the difference between those two displays in games
Yes I have.
Thank you! You video helped me to upgrade my screen from TN HD to a IPS FullHD model Aspire E5 - 573G-58B7
Welcome

Is this IPS screen compatible with the E15 E5-576-392H? Looking for an upgrade.
Thanks for the video. In your video, you noted a .1 screen however your suggested link is a .2 screen. What is the difference?
+David Seltzer it is a firmware revision that makes the screen more compatible with different laptop makers 1 + 2 both work with the Acer brand
Is the screwdriver size used to open the back of the computer to access the memory and hard drive the same to replace the screen? What size screwdriver(s) do it need to buy? I do not have any tools. Thanks for your reviews, they are extremely helpful.
+Cindy Tuna you need a pH 0 or Phillips head screwdriver size 0 and they will do both
Perfect. Cheers
First of all, i would like Galaxt tech for all the info. Great Work! at last, one final question, the acer e5-575 (non "g" version) uses a N156HGE-EAL REV.C1 screen. Does the B156HAN01.2 would work ? is it compatible?
Can someone please answer this.
Yes, it will work. Sorry my response is 6 years late, I’m just now discovering this video.
Wow. I never looked into this and did not know it is that simple to replace the screen. This is great to know. After watching a few of your vids i appreciate the content and hands on. Looking forward to receiving my new E5-57D4 even more now. My first upgrade will be ram etc
Subbed!
Thanks for watching and your support!
changing my laptop screen to. thanks man.! my eyes hurt with glossy finish.!
Welcome
hi there good information..
but then can i ask how about the saturation?
it is the colour more beautiful than TN panel?
Yes I prefer ips color over TN panels as well.
Side note, B156HAN01.2 is not IPS according to Panellook. It's AHVA, which is a competing technology to IPS. You get IPS-like quality apparently from the video, which is good to know since I've never seen an AHVA panel before.
Odd.. neither have I
One of the nice aspects of VA panels is their relatively high contrast ratio. About 3000:1 seems to be typical, which is higher than the approximately 1000:1 to 1500:1 that you would get from an IPS panel.
Your vedio was simple and well described. Bro i have an acer aspire ES1-572-34NU is it possible to attach ur mentioned IPS pannel on my laptop .

thanks for the video, so basically the panel you used is pretty much compatible for any 15.6" 575 series? regardless of resolution?
+Chan Jung should be. Yes.
Great video. Do you believe the same process would work for Acer Predator Helios 300 screen?
Yes in fact it will. I have tested the same replacement screen on the Helios.
Thank you so much! Would you think it is a worthy upgrade over the Helios Screen?
+banethermo a little bit brighter but I find the Helios screen to be just fine.
Again thank you
Hello mate. The new IPS display from your video is an Matte or Glossy ? Beside which is the best version of this panel ? B156HAN01.1 or B156HAN01.2 ??
+Media Vision matte. And the 2 revisions are nearly identical except for updated firmware that makes the panel usable in a broader range of laptops. The 1.1 and 1.2 will both work with the Acer series of laptops.

Media Vision change display anyways that way you get back a working screen for emergency & not have one with dead pixels on the side
Liked the video!
I have a question about mine one “Acer Aspire VX15” with TN display
I’m interested in graphic design, so can I replace this one to IPS ? I
f I do, for which display to look for?
Also, would it have such an improvement?
the one I linked should work for the VX15 as well.
used this guide to replace a TN display and install an IPS display on the Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM laptop! It works! Thank you :D
Did this affect your battery life?
Very helpful video! My screen is on the way and can't wait to do the upgrade now that I know how simple it is. Thank you for sharing.
No problem, I am glad I could help. I hope you liked and if you get a chance remember to subscribe.
Great video ... is it possible to replace a 1366x768 tn panel for a 1080p IPS panel ... is there any cons?
+JONHWAR yes you can and no cons.
Galaxy Tech Review And how do you know what screen to look for?

the con is worse battery life actually. Not by much, it it'll be lower than with 720p screen.

Do you know if it's compatible with the 576-392H? Also does it have that annoying slight blue tint so many modern electronics have?
Hey there, thanks for an amazing video! Are there glossy panels for such low price?
Not that I have seen.
pity :( thanks for reply

Was strongly considering buying this laptop. Are there any touch screen variants that would work using this connection?
+EarlTech no touch screen that I am aware of for this or the 53vg.
wow!I didn't know that this was possible!can it be done on every laptop?
i dunno about any laptop but lots of them yes.
I ordered one today! I hope it will look great!!
Couple of quick questions- what are your thoughts on using a plastic spudger to separate the trim? And will the B156HAN01.2 work also?
You can certainly use a plastic spudger (although I had absolutely no problems with my fingers as you saw), and yes the B156HAN01.2 will work just as well. Thanks for watching!

Hello, what size of screwdriver is needed? I just bought this panel because of your video and am waiting for it to arrive. :)
a phillips PH0 screwdriver.
Thanks!

Have you tested to see the sRGB% on the new screen?
Would this work on Acer Aspire 5750G? How would you upgrade that screen?

Please do make a video upgrading the TN Panel to IPS Panel on Acer Aspire A515-51G too!
Does this bring up any issues on performance of the pc? Ie is battery life affected? Or do you notice any changes in the laptops heat? I'm concerned that maybe this new screen draws more power and produces more heat or degrades the performance of the pc. Thx!
Nope I did not notice any issues.
What is your cable modle no. Is it one lane or two lane ...how can it be identified that it is 1 or 2 lane ....plz help ...thanku
Hi. I've gone ahead and purchased this display already as the color improvement as well as lack of washed out imagery is enough to prompt a purchase out of me. But I must ask, does this replacement screen add any noticeable delay on response time to inputs?
+Nick Butera no I have not had any issues with response time. Played tons of games on this screen and no issues.
Galaxy Tech Review great news, thank you for the timely response. I've watched a few videos and have been really impressed with your content as well as the time you take to reply with good information. You've earned yourself another sub good sir!
Ty appreciated
Hi I wanted to know if Acer sells LCD screens because I have broken main, I took to a shop and apparently they told me that Acer does not sell screen but actually Samsung sells screens for Acer laptop, I just wanted to fully confirm if that is true. I don't wanna get scammed
Greaat video! I wanted to ask where I could possibly buy the glossy version of this laptop (IPS) I like that one better than the matte one. Thankks!!
+Eli Syed no idea where you would get a glossy version of the IPS screen the ones that I have seen have all been Matte
Galaxy Tech Review fair enough! Thanks for the reply tho :D
upgraded my TN panel on my F5-573g to IPS 120hz with matte finish. 60 bucks and worth it!
I have an aspire f15 f5-573, would you have the link where you purchased?
Where did you find this panel????
Hey, loved your tutorial. However, I ordered the same screen but was delivered a B156HAN04.4 H1WA screen, which doesn't seem to be working. I've made sure to check that the pin is properly inserted.
I've got the same laptop as yours, an Acer E5-575g-57D4, any advice?
My advice would be to return it and get the screen model that I recommend in the video. Contact the seller and make sure that the replacement screen is the exact model number either 01 or 02
Thanks a bunch. Will do.
Hi,
I have a TN panel, 30 pin connector, HD(1336x768) on my laptop 💻 AsusPro - P2540U (CPU i5-7200U GPU Intel 620) and I like to upgrade with an IPS Full HD (1920x1080) panel.
The biggest problem I have is that I cannot find a place where I can buy the right product or find an IPS one. Can you please Help Me to find the right product.
Thanks in advance.
Hello brother.
Mere pass hp ka laptop hae i5, 6th generation.

Kia main apny ais model main IPS led lgwa skta?
How's battery life changed after replacement panel to IPS? Is it really shorter? Thanks!
+Саня Олександрук not really.
is this suitable for E5 573 series?
Hey thanks for the information.
I have acer aspire 5-A515-51G. Facing same issue with the screen. Want to upgrade. Kindly suggest me best screen for my laptop.

It is compatible with hp laptops?
Hi. Seen a lot of comments between the 1.1 and 1.2 IPS replacement panel. What is difference and on this video did you use 1.1 or 1.2.
Hello, very nice video, do this ips panel use more power? and do you know if it will fit a acer e5 575g 53re ?
Thank you in advance.
The power difference is very minimal like going from say 1.0 watts to 1.30 watts. Won;t effect your system in a way that will make an impact. It should fit any Acer 575G series laptop yes.
Thank you for the fast response, you are the best :)
Hey. .. I have an Acer E5 553 T4PT with a 1366x768 display. Can I upgrade it to a 1080p display? Is it possible/recommended?
Hi i'm interested in replacing the battery on this laptop. Can you make a tutorial video on how to do it? What battery should i get the version of this laptop with the I5-7200U?
you can replace the battery, you will have to remove the entire bottom plate and then unplug the battery from the main board and then plug in the new battery. I unfortunately do not have this test unit for further videos. Sorry I can not be of more help. It should not be a hard job though.
nice share. My qustion: can I use B156HAN01.2 High Gamut IPS screen in Acer E15 E5-574G-58JN?
not sure about that model. You would have to first figure out what screen is in the current setup and then I could figure it out for you.
here the screen current setup: 15,6" FHD (1920 x 1080) Acer CineCrystal™ LCD .
Does screen gets brighter? I currently have 15-inch tn samsung laptop instead, but I'm going to try this if it gets my screen brighter and cover more rgb area.
+to trying the screen on this model is not terrible for a TN screen. Gets pretty bright. I replaced it with an IPS display myself.
Hi! I got an Acer e5 571G 760Q with an HD screen. Can I do the same thing with it changing the HD screen to a FHD screen? If it's possible, can you recommend an model?
I have this acer aspire e5-575g-55v5 marble is this the same with yours? And I can’t see my keyboard back light no option to turn on. Please help
Should as long as it's a 15.6 inch screen with a 30 pin connector
@@GalaxyTechReview thanks for the answer!
I tried to put a dead dell screen into my lenovo z50 but the connector is different sigh... great video however
When you did the installation, did you notice any rpoblems with the ips screen after some time??
+Andre Indardat no problems at all
Thanks alot
hi I have an acer e5-475g-50st 14 inch laptop. can I also change my screen to ips one?
Hey, nice video. Do you know if this is a similar procedure for the acer vx5? Here in Brazil they sell it with a TN panel, and the vertical angle issue is really bothering me. Already started looking for compatible pannels
+Gabriel Lisboa yes it should be very similar to that model
+Pabasara Lakshan if it's an 575 G Series you should be able to use the screen that I used
Please help me.
Have you noticed any effect on battery life after replacing? Thank you
no
what type of screwdriver do you need is it a special one or a standard cross screw?
yes phillips (cross) Ph0 size
I have an ACER E5-575G-728J. Will this screen also works??
In many reviews they say the screen is to dark. highest lumens on that screen is 192. Is it true that the default display is that dark? Did changing the panel make any difference?
+Rohit Ghali the difference is night and day. Worth the upgrade Imo as stated in the video. Thanks for watching.
Will this work on an Acer Aspire E5-576G laptop?
I unfortunately purchased an Acer Aspire VX 15 with a TN screen panel. I would like to ask what's the best IPS screen replacement for it as I am not sure if the model you used in the video is compatible with it (number of pin connectors, prot placement, etc.). Thanks in advance.
Yes you can use the model in this video, it will also fit the Acer VX 15. (I have tested it in my VX 15) Buy the replacement B156HAN01.1 High Gamut IPS screen HERE
amzn.to/2lIOwA5
That was a quick reply! Thank you very much.
By the way, is the technique used above in removing the bezel applicable to the VX 15 as well?
+gerald aguinaldo yes it's exactly the same. Just go slow and careful when doing it and you will be fine
Got it. Thanks.
Can you upgrade to touchscreen ips?
+oukazadar I Would Assume you can but have only do it on the 575g series.
Can you get a 4K screen that will fit in there or perhaps something capable of producing true blacks like an LED?
No 4k screens that I could find, just 1080p IPS displays
I have HP 14 cm0075au, can i upgrade screen to IPS FHD?
hello, im currently using an asus k556uq with a TN panel and i really wanna change it to ips because im using my laptop for photosop etc and its really not ideal.
can you provide me with some informations about the screen that i need to look for because i have no idea how to look it up.
thank you
Hey thanks for all of the help man. My screen is B-e-a-utiful now :D
+Jake Miller no problem glad I could help.
So I have heard rumors that the screen that this laptop comes with is somewht dim, so if this upgrading is done, will the screen be brighter, since its an IPS screen
+Andre Indardat yes it will be.
thanks alot
Good tutorial, straight to the point
+MYT MIC thanks for watching and your support
Is this screen good for watching movies and long watching periods on it and does it make problems with adjusting brightness in Control Panel?
+One of Us the screen is good for watching movies and long periods as for problems with adjusting brightness in control panel I didn't have any
+Galaxy Tech Review thank you for reply.
+Galaxy Tech Review thanks. Your answers are very useful to me. Is there maybe a glossy version of that screen available?
Ordered the Au Optronics B156han01.1 from East Coast and received revision 1.2. Not sure if it was an actual Au Optronics or another brand as it didn't show company of manufacture. Installed it and about 2 inches of the left-hand side of the screen are corrupted and unusable. The rest looked fantastic though. East Coast was nice enough to send me an RMA even though I disregarded their warning about upgrading to a different panel. I have the E5-575 but, the version with and Intel integrated GPU. Any ideas, or do you think the panel was bad?
+Barry Allen probably just a bad panel or damaged during shipping I'd just ask them to replace it.
How are the brightness controls ? Does the screen respond to that command , some screens ignored that.
Yes brightness controls work no issues.
@@GalaxyTechReview oh , nice ♡♡♡♡♡
sorry if this question has already been asked but will this work on E5-576-392h? Where could I get a 120hz version?
Would you be able to do this with the Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM model? I might be purchasing one soon, I'm torn between that and the Acer Spin 5 SP513-51-38M1 which already has an IPS.
+Brandon Rodriguez it should work with the 33bm
***** Thank you! That definitely helps with my decision making.
+Brandon Rodriguez np
So I have the 575 and you have the 575g. Are they both the same shape but different spec, meaning the screen will still fit?
+LemonJuiceGV the best way to determine that is to figure out what model of screen you have in your laptop already you can download a program called HW info 64 and run that under monitor after the program was wrong you can see what model number of screen you have
Can I do it on my E5-575G- 53DF?
great video by the way.
+-Robert Svetić yes should work on that model
I have a similar laptop, E5-575G-55H4, but 1366x768, do you think it can be upgraded to IPS full hd pannel ? to improve not only quality but also more res?
should work on all 575g series laptops but I have only tested it on the ones listed in the video description.
hey buddy can i use it in acer aspire 3 a315-58 as of now it has a yellowish tint which i hate from my heart. Is the new one also has one(yellowish tint)
do u think this will help my screen tear?
+zlaigaz May no I am thinking it's application related. Not screen related.
sir can i upgrade my laptop screen to full hd? my current res now is 1366 x 768 and the LCD model number is B156XTN07.0 and laptop model is acer e5 575g 3d42 (30pins)
what particular model number of LCD that has 1080p will work on my laptop? thanks in advance
The one on the video description should work for you.
@@GalaxyTechReview btw sir may i know your cable EDP if its 1 lane or 2lane? i think mine is equiped only 1 lane. does it will still work with full hd panel display you suggest
?
stupid question but would this work on a Lenovo Ideapad 330-15ICH (it has a AUO38ED panel (i think))
should work for that model yes
@@GalaxyTechReview thank you! ☺️
